    Anne Bonny

Named in honor of the most notorious female pirate to ever set sail. Wicked, cruel, beautiful, intelligent, resourceful and dangerous: a true role model. A blend of Indonesian red patchouli, red sandalwood, and frankincense. A million thanks to Juliana Williamson-Page for inspiration! This is definitely a lady pirate scent – tough, strong, but not masculine. Not something to wear if you’re trying to be subtle. A generic sort of woody scent is what I smell most once it’s dried down, though I can still smell the sandalwood and frankinsence. It’s a very dark scent, and though I like it, it might be a little bit much for me to wear on a regular basis.

    Eclipse

Straight out of the bottle, Eclipse is nothing but almond/marzipan, but once it hits my skin, the cinnamon becomes more powerful. However, after about 10 minutes on my skin, it really starts to smell like bubble gum – the 5 cent kind that comes with the comics inside the wrapper. I really like it wet and while it’s drying, but I don’t care for the bubblegum-y ending.

    Oneiroi

I love this perfume. Not to wear out in public, but it puts me to sleep within a half hour of putting it on. It’s been a life saver for those nights I’m just too wound up/hyper to sleep. I put a few dabs on my lavender pillow, and now it work better than before! It causes some pretty odd dreams (that I actually remember, which rarely happened before). On my skin, it smells mostly of lavender when it's wet. However, I couldn't tell you what it smells like after more than a half hour, because I'm asleep.

    The Raven

I bought this one based on the name alone. On me, this is a light floral that reminds me a lot of LUSH’s Bathos bubble bar slice (must be the violets). I smell mostly violets, and maybe some iris, and perhaps a touch of sandalwood. I can see this one getting a lot of wear over the summer, as it isn’t too overpowering.

    Athens

I love this. It’s now one of the scents I find myself reaching for all the time (along with Voodoo and O). In the vial, all I can smell is grape Jolly Ranchers () but once on my skin, it smells like honey, flowers, and myrrh. After an hour or two, the flowers start to dissipate, and all I’m left with is honey and myrrh, which I adore. This isn’t as in your face sexual as O, but it’s got sort of the same feeling to it.

How do you apply your BPAL oils?

I actually use a bobby pin (unused) to put on oil from my (one) big bottle. Since the only bottle I have is Sin, and a little goes a long way, I unbend the bobby pin (so it's more-or-less straight), dip the end into the perfume, and dot strategically. It's actually quite handy, as there isn't anything that can fall off the bobby pin into the oil, and I can control where it goes and how much I put on more easily.

How much does it cost to ship internationally?

    Thanks ever so much!

The scent on the outside of the imps

The outside of my imps smell mostly like Old Morocco (a strand from the tie was trapped in the perfume when I got it and sucked up about a quater of the perfume and spread it around the box). It's really quite nice.

    Sin

I bought a 5 ml bottle of Sin without smelling it first, and I’m very glad I did. On me, Sin is mainly amber and sandalwood with a touch of patchouli, which is exactly what I was hoping it would turn out as. I can’t smell any cinnamon at all. It’s absolutely lovely. It really doesn’t take much of the oil to get a good scent in the air around you. It lasts pretty well too, as I put some on yesterday at about 2 pm and I could still smell it this morning at about 7.

    Snake Oil

This really reminds me of Ravenous for some reason, which is odd, because they don’t have any notes in common. It’s like Ravenous without the orange blossom, but with spices instead. Wet, it’s almost all vanilla, but as it dries, it gets more and more spicy. After a few hours, it goes back to mostly vanilla, with just a touch of spice. I don’t know if I’ll get a big bottle of this, but I’m going to try it a few more times to see if it says spicy, which is what I would prefer. Edit: I had to edit this because Snake Oil is really starting to grow on me - even in it's mostly vanilla form. I've had 3 people tell me I smell good while I was wearing it (I've only worn it outside the house twice), so I think it's a keeper.

    Voodoo

When I first put this on, it smelled really lemon-y (despite the fact that there isn’t any lemon in the description). As it dried, Voodoo calmed down to myrrh, vanilla, lime and a touch of pine. As time went on, it changed continually – sometimes it really surprised me when I caught a whiff of it. After a few hours (3 or 4) it calmed down into vanilla/myrrh with a bit of almond and something that might be the vetiver. All in all, it’s gorgeous and I shall be purchasing a bigger bottle of this soon!

    O

Oh my God! I adore this perfume. It’s all honey and amber, and is really lovely and sweet. I’m literally sitting here salivating over how good I smell ( ). I don’t really know how this compares to the “smell of sex”, but it makes me feel as sexy as all get out. Maybe not the best choice when I have to go back to my high school and visit one of my old English teachers I am definitely getting a big bottle of this in my next order!

    Lust

This scent really does make me feel quite sexy and attractive... I haven't had the courage to act on those feelings yet, but I noticed I was carrying myself differently today at school, and got a few second looks from people in the halls. Lust really reminds me of something, though I can't really pin down where I've smelled it before. It smells quite sweet in the vial, but once on, it turns quite floral on me. The pachouli and myrrh didn't really become prominent, though the ylang-ylang did, as did the musk towards the end of the day. It lasted really well - I put it on first thing in the morning, and could still smell it at the end of the day - going on to 10 hours later! I really enojoyed wearing this (and the extra attention it got me!)

    Ravenous

I just got this in a swap, and I already enjoy it. When I first put it on, it smelled alot like a creamsicle (almost to the post of smelling "artifical" - like the vanilla in LUSH's Rock Star soap - it's not a bad thing, that's just the way it smells). After it dries though, the "artificial-ness" of this really calms down and smells of oranges and sonething else I can't really place, with some darker notes underneath (which I assume is the pachouli). It's really quite a happy upbeat scent - not really "sexy" on me, but then again, it's really orange-y *nod*
