Let me preface this by saying I am a patchouli lover, I've tried SilkyBat and while I quite enjoyed it, it wasn't an omfgwtflove. Something about bpal's "sugared" note I think is sometimes hit or miss. But anyway, MPF 13 *is* omfgwtf love! It's sweet, sexy, tropical coconut patchouli lovvvvvveeeee! It's like Goblin and Banshee Beat had a baby! It's fresh and summery but can definitely transition into fall and beyond. It's also cosy, like a warm, sexy red cashmere sweater. MMMMM, this has definitely shot to my top 3 hairgloss list. Am so glad I ordered this!

I just got this so going to let it settle before I make final judgement but so far not getting too much coffee There's that dreaded plasticky -vanilla-y note that sometimes appears in foody vanilla bpals. Oh noes! Sometimes it has been known to fade away with aging but this isn't a good start. There's a faint hint of caramelly plastic in the background and definitely no coffee. So basically plastic caramel vanilla is my impression. Am so disappointed as I was hoping this would be my holy grail coffee scent and I just love the story behind this one. I am going to skin test again in a few days and/or try in my scent locket and remain hopeful!
ETA: Update: this scent is very strong and has good throw. Over the last hours I realized it reminds me a great deal of Miskatonic University - which I like but have never loved. It has that dusty smell that I guess is the coffee note. I always attributed Misk U's smell to the "dusty tomes" aspect but maybe it was the coffee. It's a little less plasticky than earlier and hints of coffee beans are coming through. I"m definitely going to hang onto this and stick it in a dark drawer for a while to age and then try it again. I still have hope it will grow into something lovely!

First sniff out of the bottle and I loudly exclaim "ughffffnnnnhhhhhh!". This is good! FIrst applied on skin, it's reminiscent of Midway and also Mouse Circus, that sweet candy caramel popcorn thing going on. I immediately think of the sweet candied popcorn (from childhood) that has that sweet pink coating. Not the brown caramel kind, but distinctly the pink kind. I can definitely see the popcorn comparisons most have been talking about, but to me it's not bad. Definitely not as bad as Carnival's 'Shill'. A few minutes in, it's deepening and settling. I get this weird burnt or salty weird type note. Ew. Hopefully it passes.... A few minutes later and it's still smoothing out. It's kinda like the Betty Crocker white icing from the tub now, with a hint of coconut. Nice. I think the amber is giving it that burnt caramel note. Or is it the plastic note that periodically appears in vanilla-y white scents from BPAL??? Oh noes, I hope not. That ruined Midway, Egg Nog and Destestable Putrescence for me - scents that should have been perfect for a foody vanilla lover like me. It's disappearing as time goes on but now about 10 minutes later the scent is quite faint and a soft generic coconut vanilla. It's not *bad* it's just not the orgasmic type love I thought I'd have for it. But I just got it and will let it settle a few days/weeks as I think that will make a difference. So far it's pretty but quite faint. Will try the scent locket too and see if that yields better results.

Hungry Ghost Moon (the earlier version - '06, I believe) to me comes across as fresh, sweet sugared grapefruit - perfect for spring and summer.

I'd have to recommend Herr Drosselmeyer, it sounds like it fits -
Pipe smoke, sweet leather, woods and linen.
It's a sweet delicioous, comforting, not acrid smoke smell smoothed out by rich leather and a touch of sweetness. I love it but it would also be a great on a guy. It's LE though and I'm not sure how easy to find it is!

Now, would ordering say, an Odditorium or Pumpkin Patch count as 1 item, or more? Always wondered that....

I got my Storm Moon order and here is my brief review...
In the bottle: I can see where the comparisons to fabric softener sheets come from - you know, that whole mountain breeze thang? That's just what it smells like. It's not *not* nice, but it smells synthetic in that way.
On: It has a "tang" to it. It's also very strong, it almost tickles your nose it is so tangy and fresh. It doesn’t smell like an angry raging storm, rather one that is the harbinger of a brighter dawn, a new season, the life giving powers of the waters from the heavens. It is bright and fresh, yet very long lasting and strong on the skin.
Overall: I definitely like it; I could see myself wearing this on a fresh, breezy spring day and just reflecting on life, taking a walk in the park, or quietly reading. It’s a very peaceful scent for a storm, but one that has that underlying hint of rain about to come.
It’s definitely a masculine or feminine scent.
On a scale of 1-10, I would give this a 7.

Keep in mind, I don't have the advanced sniffers most of you seem to possess, but here's my thoughts.
Lavender/Violet/Herby/Minty/Biting
It's very bright and biting, but pleasant. I like it (I like *most* BPAL scents). I could see myself wearing this while in a serene mood and just chilling.
Also, I have no idea if it has mint/lavender/or violets. After putting it on, I noticed it smelled a *leetle* like Veil and I know Veil has violets, so...
These are the extent of my reviewing capabilities for this scent.....
All in all, a very nice, calming, unique scent.

Dana O'Shee and Snowcake are carbon copies, IMHO. No one mentions this, but Two Timing Tart bubble bath and Hollywood Babylon were made for each other!

Okay, as soon as I smelled it wet I got the feeling like when you put soda under your nose, the little bubbles that kind of tickle your nose and throat? Very tingly. First adjectives that come to mind: bubbly, fruity/citrus, sparkly, bright. I can picture a hip young woman at a posh bar sipping on a fruity, carbonated cocktail, just looking very sophisticated yet approachable, ready to have a fun, carefree night out on the town.
Dead Leaves, Red Musk & Neroli Hair Gloss

I bought this solely on Puddin's raves over it! I wouldn't have instinctively gravitated towards it - I probably would have chosen the vanilla leaves gloss, but thought I'd take a chance. I love how Bpal can make me go out of my usual go-to comfort zone and rarely am I disappointed. Plus last year when Puddin said Gourd of Deprivation was amazing I listened and did not regret it! This is STRONG. My first thought is that it is very masculine. In a good way. It's rich, red, thrummy. The Neroli, which is very distinctive, adds a sharpness and I can see how it could be perceived as "acrid" with the dead leave note which is also bitter. To me this is very much a Fall scent. I get no sweetness from this. It would probably smell incredible mixed with a sweeter scent too, like silkybat. I like it! And think it will age beautifully.
