  1. Becky, I wonder if you are just amping other notes in those blends to the exclusion of the rose. Cinnamon can be such a strong note, for example, it might just be beating out the rose on you.

I don't think I'm amping the other notes - at least not the cinnamon because when I put it on I get just faint cinnamon and there's no scent at all after 45 minutes (like I said it's the background with nothing in the foreground)

I'm pretty new at this so I'm trying to include a few rose scents with each imp order. I'm a bit tempted to do an entire order of roses but there are so many other lovely sounding things to try! I got a CnS for an order that includes Blood Rose and Persephone so I'll know about those two by the end of the week! I've added the other suggestions to my (long) list. Thanks!

  2. I need help - I love the smell of roses but my skin is defeating me. Every scent I've tried with roses the rose seems to fade almost instantly :P .

This is weird because otherwise I've had almost no morphing of scents when I put them on my skin. Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone make recommendations of rose scents that don't act like the other scents on their skin? So far all the scents with rose notes that I've tried are:

    harlot

    eve

    zombi

    her voice

    knave of hearts

    vinland

    sugar moon

    versailles

I smelled a little rose at first in Eve and in Zombi but even those two faded in minutes. Scents like Harlot are weird on me because I have a background of cinnamon with nothing in the foreground... Help me please? I have a random room scent that smells like roses which is so old I don't know where I got it - but I would love a BPAL rose scent!

  3. This was the first scent I tried and this is my first review!

The Flower Song is sweet sweet pomegranate in the bottle and on me. It smells much sweeter then pomegranate wine I've had. After it dries down it gets a little reedy and some herbal notes too but the pomegranate is still strong. I think I need some more experience before I can describe these notes better.

ETA: I put this on at 6:30am and I'm still catching whiffs of it 9hrs later.
