Very grassy, soapy and cologne-like at first sniff. On my skin it reads as expensive men's soap. I can't tell yet if I like it or if it's just too soapy.
-
Slightly more intriguing in the bottle than on me; in the bottle it was spicy vanilla whereas on my skin it's all apricot, all the time. Not unpleasant, but I had hoped for less fruit and more vanilla. I'm going to keep trying it though and give it some time to mellow out.

Chalk me up as another who smells Snow White + SGA. However, unlike SGA, the apple is totally under control here and plays nicely with the musks. It's more vanilla than floral to me, and I love it every bit as much as I hoped I would. Definitely need a bottle

Uh...this smells straight up like cherry chapstick. The same weird chemical cherry/menthol/waxy smell. Incidentally, I happen to like the smell of cherry chapstick, but I don't think I want to smell like it.
-
It was so sharp and pungent I couldn't pick out any notes, just rushed to wash it off. I'm going to keep trying it, just with way less. Very "perfumey" and sharp.

Venus

Gorgeous pink rose and expensive soap, but in a VERY pleasant way. Normally I'm not one for soap/rose scents, but this is soft enough that neither becomes sharp, cloying or aggressive.
Beautiful clean scent, perfect for work

This is by far my favorite scent to date, and entirely unexpected, as it doesn't smell even remotely close to what I had imagined it would. It falls more along the lines of what I expect Black Heart would smell like. Light, crisp and fruity. For some reason I can't shake the smell of apples. More a crisp green apple on wet that dried down to a deep, juicy red apple. I get no vanilla. Zero tobacco. There is nothing heavy to this scent on me. It has almost a tart quality to it. Strange. Very strange. Skin chemistry works in mysterious ways... One thing I do know, is that this is stunning! When I shoved my wrist under the husbands nose, he remarked that I smelled like carpet sprinkle. Odd. If they sold sprinkle that smelled like this, I would never leave my house.
I totally get the apples. It smelled like L'Autunno for the first hour or so, that incensey-appley smell. Now a couple hours later it just smells faintly spicy.

Hod is Alice's sexy grown up cousin. Gorgeous, spicy, enticing...my husband couldn't stop sniffing me! It has incredible throw and longevity, too. It's got the spicy carnation edge but it's rounded out a teensy bit by the sweetness of the amber. It'll be my very first multiple bottle purchase, I'm in love!

I dunno what in this blend is smelling like mimosa to me, but it's lovely. Soft mimosa with the teeniest hint of lily, and dries down to a very pretty floral (but still heavily mimosa-y) musk.
-
I fully recognize that this smells lovely, but to me it's got this cloying, sickly aspect that is a total turnoff. In a way, that's good for a scent named for the God of the Dead
Final summation: sickly sweet mummy + ornate coffin wood.

OCEANS OF LOVE AND MILLIONS OF KISSES
Why can't they let a girl marry three men, or as many as want her, and save all this trouble?
Orange blossom and honey.Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. The orange blossom is definitely floral, and the honey is not the same honey as in, say, Tomoe Gozen. It's more of a musky floral than anything else, lightly sweet but not cloying. I love it!

Thus saying, from her side the fatal Key,
Sad instrument of all our woe, she took;
And towards the Gate rouling her bestial train,
Forthwith the huge Porcullis high up drew,
Which but her self not all the STYGIAN powers
Could once have mov'd; then in the key-hole turns
Th' intricate wards, and every Bolt and Bar
Of massie Iron or sollid Rock with ease
Unfast'ns: on a sudden op'n flie
With impetuous recoile and jarring sound
Th' infernal dores, and on thir hinges great
Harsh Thunder, that the lowest bottom shook
Of EREBUS. She op'nd, but to shut
Excel'd her power; the Gates wide op'n stood,
That with extended wings a Bannerd Host
Under spread Ensigns marching might pass through
With Horse and Chariots rankt in loose array;
So wide they stood, and like a Furnace mouth
Cast forth redounding smoak and ruddy flame.
Before thir eyes in sudden view appear
The secrets of the hoarie deep, a dark
Illimitable Ocean without bound,
Without dimension, where length, breadth, and highth,
And time and place are lost; where eldest Night
And CHAOS, Ancestors of Nature, hold
Eternal ANARCHIE, amidst the noise
Of endless warrs and by confusion stand.
Solace in darkness, the personification of shadow: lavender, black vanilla, white melon, night-blooming jasmine, rose, cedar, cyclamen, violet, and hyacinth.OH.MUH.GUH. It's TKO!!!! With maybe a touch more vanilla than the oil but OMG it's lovely. It's softer and less medicinal than the perfume oil but it's still a dead ringer. Thank you Beth...that's one more dream that's come true.

Ok, right out of the bottle I smell bubblegum, which I always associate with lotus. TBH for the first hour it's bubblegum and bathroom air freshener, which is not exactly appealing. It does calm down as it dries though and ends up smelling almost exactly like Flowering Chrysanthemums. Very nice, but not really me, and I already have a bottle of FC.

Burnt plastic sugar and dirt Whatever note is in Snow White and other "sugary" scents that turns to a weird-ass dirt scent is also present here. I think I just have to accept the fact that I just cannot wear foody/sugary scents.

This is just about the only "foody" blend I've tested that hasn't made me queasy. It's definitely cake, but a white cake. It doesn't have even the barest hint of the sickly buttery scent that I associate with foody blends (Beaver Moons, I'm lookin at you guys). Lovely lightly spiced fruit with vanilla in the background that gives the cakey impression. I'd call it gourmand rather than foody. It's VERY nice

Straight up lime juice with a teensy bit of sugar in. It's so sour to my nose it made my lips pucker! Not unappealing but not something I'd likely wear, either.
-
If rock candy came in carnation flavor, this would be it! It's definitely a clean, sparkly sugar note, as opposed to the caramel-y sugar in Sugar Skull. It's not terribly floral on me, I get mostly the sugar with a little carnation. And it just smells...pink. Seriously! It's definitely going to be a bottle-buy!
-
Blazingly sharp lilies and a teensy bit of citrus. I don't have more detailed notes than that because I had to wash it off almost immediately - headache city
-
At first it's a really sharp citrus - like, say, yuzu as opposed to just plain old grapefruit. There's also some kind of floral in there, which I think may be honeysuckle? I dunno, maybe I am on crack, but to me it is a lovely blend of yuzu (which softens up right away upon application) and honeysuckle. There is also something reminiscent of Snow White, in fact after awhile there was quite a strong resemblance, but without turning into dirt the way Snow White does on me.
I love this stuff!!
-
Something about a lot of the lab's honey blends smells almost lemony to my nose - I get zero fruitiness from the currants and a whole lotta very soft citrusy stuff from the honey. Nonetheless, it's gorgeous and definitely my favorite bath oil from the Trading Post thus far

Resin Heaven...I can't put it any better than that

Lovely scent, in the bottle it's lavender incense; after 10 minutes or so on my skin it's allll myrrh. I mean, it's a dead ringer for a bottle of myrrh oil I have, but better quality. Delicately sweet and mildly incense-like, it's very nice and reminiscent of a MUCH softer, simpler Schwarzer Mond.

Unreleased Prototype....no description given
Well, with a name like Viola I figured it would be a floral scent, and it certainly is! But it's more of a "purple" floral, a pansy or petunia or something you would find growing in your garden rather than in a florist's refrigerator. It doesn't have that sharpness that white florals so often do; rather it's all soft edges and wispiness. Amazingly it does not go powdery or soapy on me and it retains that "purple" feeling. Maybe that's the influence of the name. It reminds me of nothing so much as my mother's flowerbeds in her front yard - flowery as opposed to floral, with just a teensy hint of green. No soil.
It's really lovely and I'm glad I took a chance on it unsniffed

So lovely. It reminds me of a more refined version of nag champa incense. Very dark, resinous oil, the perfect marriage of orris and incense.
