  1. Woohoo! Next stop is the Oprah's Favorite Things in November! I'm ready to start tying vials to help you get ready for the deluge of orders that will bring.

My brother-in-law uses that show to pick what to by for my sister for Christmas...he usually gets her 50% of what she shows on there...My sister is a lucky girl.

BTW, are you interested in having stores carry your oils? I noticed there are a few on the website...my sister is looking at opening up a boutique cosmetics/skincare store along the lines of Sephora, but more intimate and funky. I'd love for her to carry your line! It will be in Bryan/College Station, home of Texas A&M University.

    Big hugs and congrats!

  2. Holy freaking Ganesh! I can't believe you have that many orders to refill! Now I feel guilty having placed an order while you were away. : {

Ditto! I feel guilty because I did get one of my orders and being the greedy girl I am, I immediately ordered 5mls of the ones I fell in love with!

Yes, my name is Lisa, and I'm a BPAL addict...~grin~

Big Hugs to Beth...wish I could help!

  3. Hi Elizabeth,

What is it you need done? Tagging and tying or filling them? I'm more than willing to help. I am stuck at home every night as a single mom...so anything to keep me from baking brownies would be welcome!

ooops....meant to be in a pm...it's late...and Los Lonely Boys brought down the house tonight!

  4. I'm so glad to hear you are back. Please don't rush on my account. With my luck, as soon as you resend, it will show up.

Hmmm....wondering how all of this will look when Elizabeth looks back in 5 years right after Oprah declares BPAL one of her favorite things! This is probably going to seem like a bumpy patch in the road by then.

Lol...I can really sympathize with Ted tonight...my beloved Ice Bats are being ground into the dirt this season...sigh...they lost 0-3 tonight, with double shots on goal compared to the other team. They even missed a shot where the goalie was caught behind the net and it was wide open...there is no joy in mudville tonight...oops, wrong sport!

Howdy Brian! Welcome to the madness... :P

    Hugs!

  5. Big Big :P :D :D

Beth, don't stress about it. Just take a deep breath and let it all go. We understand what is going on...it isn't your fault!

Don't feel rushed for our sake...as much as we love your oils...we won't die without them....maybe we won't get as much action without them :D ...but we won't die.

Priorities - your health! Stress is not good...take care of yourself first. I know whereof I speak. Wishing I could send a Dreamtime bar across the net...and thinking that sounds good for me too!

    hugs again,

    Lisa in Austin

  6. I have to second the motion that you just relax and not worry about us until you get back. I am not dissatisfied with BPAL at all...Just the stupid post office. Please, please just relax and enjoy so you come back refreshed.

I really hope this doesn't get to you. I understand how frustrating things can get and I hope this doesn't discourage too much. Patience has never been a virtue for me.

Hugs! Go dance at the open air bar that is between Harrah's and the Imperial tonight and forget about us for a while!

    Hugs,

    Lisa in Austin

  7. Happy Birthday! I'm sorry things aren't going well in Vegas. That is a bummer about Ted's injuries. What position does he play? Goalie?

I'm sorry about the mess with the shipments...and I truly believe in the 3-fold law...except that my sister won the lottery instead of me...that's still an anomaly that I don't understand. :P

Spring is on the way and things will get better!

    Hugs,

    Lisa in Austin

  8. I hope you get this before you go....

Head over to the Imperial (it's kind of a dive, but cheap gambling) and put $3 on 31 at the second to last roullette table on the left side as you come in the main entrance...I was only there a weekend but I hit on that 4 times in two days at that table with a less than $20 stake each time...then spent the money shopping and at the hotel spa!

Dang...and hockey, too....dang, dang, dang....I want to come...

Sighhhhh...guess I'll have to get my fix with two Ice Bats games this weekend.

    Have fun!

  9. I've just slathered my hair in Arabian Bright, and was just musing what a wonderful smell that stuff has - I just can't stop sniffing my hands! Is there a BPAL scent anything like it? According to the label on the tub, as well as the henna (I can identify that note for starters!) it also contains 'Frankincense, Vanilla and Perfume.'

I don't know what exactly the perfume is either, but it is very similar to the one use in my beloved...but gone...plantational. Reincarnate is very similar but is still missing something. It is that earthy, almost dirty/spicey scent that I love. It reminds me of walking through middle or far eastern market listening to the hawkers and buying my herbs and spices in paper funnels.

LOL...to be honest, I'm not sure I really want to analyze that market scent...I might not like what I was smelling if I knew what it really was.

  10. CHESHIRE CAT

Grapefruit, red currant, dark musk, Roman chamomile, delphinium, and lavender.

In the bottle: The main scent was the sharp grapefruit scent. I almost put it back to try a different one today but thought I'd be adventureous.

Wet: I could definitely smell other scents coming into play. The grapefruit faded but there was still an undefined fruitiness...but not fruity. It isn't really a floral either...If that makes sense.

An hour later: It has melded to the point where I can't distinguish a single note but it has the overall impression of walking through an overgrown orchard in the sunshine. There is a bit of fruit in there along with a bit of floral...no one thing overwhelms the other. There is something in there that I've never smelled before and it might be the delphinium...or just the way they meld together. This is a great spring/summer scent...definitely a keeper.

A couple of hours later: Still a very wonderful scent but mostly faded. If I had the imp with me, I'd reapply because I love the scent. I still like it and will probably get more.

  11. Zephyr -- A gentle white scent, breezes laced with the scent of springtime blooms and citrus. Lemon, lemon verbena, neroli, white musk, white florals, white sandalwood, China musk, bergamot and a drop of vanilla.

In the bottle: yummm...soft, light with some high notes without being florally

On the skin: I'm still liking this. It almost...almost...reminds me of that sweet honesty perfume I used to wear as a teenager...but this has a bit of something that makes this not so innocent. Definitely a lighter springtime scent.

After about 30 minutes: Fading into a soft lemony, musky kind of scent. Very soft and feminine. It is beginning to fade a bit, but that may be because I only put the smallest drop on my wrists. If I were to were this all day, it would probably need freshening after a couple of hours, but definitely worth it...

  12. I'm wondering if my bottle was mislabeled ~grin~. It started out as kind of a strange herbally scent then melded into something I couldn't place...until I went back to read the description. I finally placed the scent as the tea scent...green tea I think. That was all I could smell after an hour. This tends to turn bitter/sharp on me...so I think this one will be going up for swap. It is nice, but with so many others that I truly love, I'll let this one go to make room for more.

  13. O

The scent of sexual obsession, slavery to sensual pleasure, and the undercurrent of innocence defiled utterly. Amber and honey with a touch of vanilla.

I just got my box full of imps (you are so generous Elizabeth!) I was so looking forward to getting them and the first one I tried was O. (I can totally relate to her! :P )

In the bottle: It smelled a bit tart...almost florally...was a bit worried

On: It's been about 20 minutes. It is mellowing into a warm decadent scent. I can smell mostly vanilla with a touch of honey. The amber is in the background making it not so innocent or foody. I'm loving this scent.

After a couple of hours: It mellowed into this combination. I couldn't pick out any one scent but it almost smelled musky...okay, maybe tmi, but you know that smell of sex, the next morning after a really good all-nighter? It is kind of like that with a sweet note to keep it from being too overpowering. I still love it, but it isn't a perfume I'll wear when I'm going to end up going to bed alone. Of course, this could have been a subliminal reaction because of the name ~grin~

    ADDED Feb. 22:

Tried this for the second time today and I'm in love. This is my new stay at home and never get of bed scent. If I were a guy, I'd be all over me...lol...definitely on the list for a large bottle. I can't wait for the guy I'm seeing to smell me with it...lol...it might encourage him to take few days off work to come see me just a bit more often!

There is something about the way the honey and amber meld together that produces an almost musky scent...sighhh

    ADDED March 2:

I've nailed it down...this reminds me of the Kama Sutra honey powder...which I totally adore!

It has that sweet musky scent that just wraps around you. Innocence utterly defiled is a perfect description!

  14. Wow...that description of scraping the wax off of pews really gave me a flashback. My knees even hurt a little...I remember sitting through the most boring masses while scraping the wax off the pew in front of me. I'll never think of Anne Bonney the same way!

  15. LOVE THIS SCENT! I wear this when I'm dressed in my short skirt cut up to there and a corset and heels. I put a dab on the back of my neck and the guys are constantly leaning in to get a sniff. This is definitely what I use when I'm on the prowl!

I got brave and wore this one to work today...I don't think it is sweet but one of the guys in the breakroom commented on how sweet my perfume smelled...Go figure!

  16. I got a sample of this with my first BPAL order and just placed an order for a larger bottle. I love this scent! I really have a difficult time choosing between this and Sin when I'm going out. I don't know what I'm going to do if I find another I like better.

I used to live in Indonesia and this scent brings back wonderful memories. I don't know exactly what the scents are...but it just reminds me of walking around Batuphat on a Saturday when all the women are cooking.

Can't wait to try my next batch of scents!
