  1. Hmm.. a little bit powdery, but mostly cinnamon. As it dries down it takes on a more incense like quality, with the cinnamon still going strong in the background. It occasionally still feels a bit powdery now and then.. I'm guessing there's some floral here doing that. Mostly cinnamon-incense, though.

  2. Hmm.. it's almost floral in the imp. Very clean smelling. Same as I apply it. I don't get much tea or honey, and nothing that I recognize as wasabi.. It's all soapy floral. It's sweet and nice, but I think it would work better as a bath product or even cleaning product than it does on my skin..

  3. It's all earth in the imp!

Hmm.. wet on my skin it's earth and cherry. As it dries down the scent softens a bit.. it's mainly soil, but I can catch hints of cherry and musk at times. I like it enough to use the imp, but I don't see myself hunting down a bottle of it.

  4. I'm a sucker for anything with fig in it, so..

Hmm.. it's sweet in the imp. Really nice, wood and green, with a very sweet current running through it.

On my skin it smells like sweet and.. burning? After a while it morphs into a grass like scent. Then it becomes spicy grass. It's strange, but interesting.. In the end though, don't think I'd wear this.

  5. In the imp: Cucumber and mint.. maybe a hint of lime..

Wet.. Reminds me of a cucumber soap I once had. As it dries down it's really reminding me of a cucumber and melon lotion (from Bath and Body, I believe?). Still a little soapy. It's a very faint scent, as well. It's not bad.. but I don't really think this is for me..

  6. The imp smells as if I'm holding a vial of grape juice..

As it is drying down I start ti smell myrrh and a hint of almond in addition to the grape juice. After a while it smells like a strange mix of grape and cherry (assuming the almond) cough syrup. Give it a little longer, and you can mix that syrup blend with baby powder.. ugh, no thanks.

  7. Very much a sweet candy scent. Cherry and strawberry, but more like candy than the actual fruit. Cotton candy, marshmallows, and merangue.. yep, all there. Honestly, while it sounds like my dream come true.. I'm not so sure about it. It's good, but there's something about it that just doesn't "wow" me.. I'm keeping the imp, but I'm off and on about an actual bottle..

  8. 2005

A perfect rose scent. It is slightly different than Rose red, as Rose Red as a bit of a green background to it that Peacock Queen does not. I do not get a perfume-y quality that some mention. It's just.. roses. Perfect, beautiful roses.

  9. This is the only snake pit blend I've tried where the snake oil isn't very apparent. This was a very sweet scent on me, mainly apples and the plumeria. Occasionally some vanilla, or citrus would come out.. never much of an incense like scent as the others have had, though. It's more a sweet fruity-floral on me.

I should also note that my imp has been aging for a good while now, probably about a year. This really didn't strike me as anything special the first time I tried it way back then, but it's pretty amazing now. Definitely a blend that seems to get better with age.

  10. In the bottle it smells like a "traditional" floral perfume. Does that make sense..? Like something you could pick up from a perfume counter at the mall? It's not so floral that it screams "old lady!" though, it's nice.

And, on my skin, both fresh going on and after a while, it stays about the same. I can definitely catch something sweet, like vanilla.. Not getting any lemon or citrus that others have caught, however. It's not quite what I was expecting, but it's nice. It's a pretty, light scent.. I can see myself wearing this on warm summer nights while hanging out with friends. Perhaps not reaching for it as often as my other summer night blends, but definitely something to hang on to.

  11. Oh. My. God. The smell from the bottle is amazing. Every strawberry scent from the lab that I've tried has been more of a strawberry candy scent (no complaints, I love it!)... but this.. oh my, this, no this is real fresh strawberries. It smells like picked strawberries which have been cut up and tossed with a bit of sugar. Amazingly tart and sweet. The throw is something as well, the open bottle is sitting about a foot away from me as I type this, and I swear if I close my eyes it honestly smells like I have a bowl of strawberries right on front of me. I have never been so taken with something from the bottle like this.. lets see what happens on skin..

Wet.. hmm, the strawberries are still there, but the greens are coming out as well.

Dry, it's about the same as wet. Strawberry and green grass. The grass kinda goes a little funky on me at times (slightly soapy?), but most of the time it just smells like grass. I'm not so sure about this on my skin. It's great, but not as great as the bottle ( :cry2:). After a while, it does get more and more soapy.. :/

It is absolutely a keeper though.. I'll wear in my hair, scent locket, room scent, or something! Even if I only ever smell it from the bottle, that's worth keeping it, lol.

Also, I should also note that the bottle just got out of the mail. I normally do not see a difference, but I am going to allow it to "settle" for a few days as some do, and try it again on my skin then. I will edit again if there are any changes!

  12. Every summer I drive across the country to visit my family and then my fiance's family, and something like this is what I carry my BPAL bottles in. Bottle box. I'm actually in the process of making a larger, and overall better one for this summer.

That box originally had a hinged lid, but it snapped off (not due to travel, it was just a kinda crappy box.. :huh?: ). I painted it, glued a piece of felt to the bottom, and made an interlocking grid from strips cut from an old cardboard box (painted it, and added ribbon). It just sits on the passenger side floor without problem. I bring it into the hotel each night to keep it from getting too hot in the car in the morning. I don't bring many imps, but each section can hold four or five standing up as well for the few I do bring (or, more likely, for the imps I get along the way as I'm still able to order BPAL on my trip :P).

  13. I can only smell honey from the imp.

On my skin it's honey, and fruity green tea. There's something about the green tea note that I'm not sure I like.. my skin seems to be amping it in a strange way. :/
