The Star is totally piña colada to me, though without the booze.

My DH just informed me that Oisin is his favorite scent ever, and he needs more. ACK!So, I have a sample of Dublin coming - but any other subs? I smells like heaven on him, so I'd like to keep him in it!
You might try Vechernyaya!I second the Vechernyaya recommendation. I immediately thought of Oisin when I tried it and smelled that masculine white musk that is just too masculine for me to wear. I bet it would smell awesome on a guy, but alas, it's a miracle I've gotten mine to even use decent soap. Fragrance just ain't gonna happen.

I'm a total lemon fiend and Severin is my main source of lemony goodness. On me, it's a slightly creamy and smokey lemon which probably sounds completely insane, but I find it refreshing in summer and soothing in winter. Embalming Fluid is the most beautifully clean and mindclearing lemon scent I've ever smelled. Shanghai was just too light and not lemony enough for me and Phantasm was way too floral for me. I'm gonna have to check out Spirits of the Dead before it disappears!

This must be further proof of my corruptive chemistry, because I absolutely LOVE Catalyst. It's spicy and herbal without being the least bit foody. I primarily get what I would call hardcore clove. This isn't sweet clove, but clove like an actual clove you would stick in a ham or put in mulled wine or whatever people do with cloves. Anyway, I adore it and wear it whenever I (and the people around me) need a good kick in the a** to get going.

The first thing to pop into my mind was Bloodlust.
-
I would have suggested Severin. It always makes me feel cool, clear-headed and somewhat detached when I wear it, so I imagine it would bore most men to death or they would want to know what it is to buy some for themselves.

I'm probably even more out of my league than you are when it comes to vanilla and musk, but you made excellent choices. Everyone is so crazy for Black Opal, I don't see how she could fail to like it.

If you're looking for moss, I would suggest Thanatos. And even though it didn't work on me, I would also suggest Bayou. I have the same problem with my chemistry amping anything remotely sweet into unbearable levels of sweetness, so I wish you luck. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the boozey fruit scents like Swank and Grand Guignol somehow manage to be fruity without being sugary sweet, so I look forward to eventually trying Cosmopolitan, too.

I'm totally looking for that scent, too, but I'm not sure if it exists here in BPAL land. I thought Graveyard Dirt might be it, but that vanishes poof! on me within 10 seconds of applying it. Burial seems to have a bit of the damp earthy feeling, however my skin amps the rose in it and so Burial doesn't really work for me, either, though you may want to try it. I wish you luck and if you find something, please report back.

Plus, I know you're a rose fiend and therefore would have tried all of the rose blends, so if it was mislabeled, then it would likely be something you had already tried. If you were willing to part with one of your rosey implings, you could seek out another rose fiend to see what they think. Alas, I am a patchouli fiend, so I'm not volunteering for the job.
-
My thought would be that maybe the components of the master bottle had separated a bit and somehow the imps were filled with a higher concentration of rosewood, because when I had a rosewood imp, it smelled like pure rose to me and nothing like my bottle of Seance whatsoever.

what if your idea of autumn is spicy, warm and soothing. i'm not a fan of the smoky, incensey, bonfire type scents and in the UK pumpkin pies don't feature too highly on the menu....well not in my house anyway!my idea of autumn (we are talking mid to late october here as it's my birthday!) is:
mulled wine
cinnamon
leaving the house in the morning frost all wrapped up warmly
sitting in a warm room in pyjamas and thick woolly socks, all wrapped up in a blanket watching chick flicks and drinknig hot chocolate
i adore three witches and am now down to my last bottle so i think this one will get finished quickly if i don't find others to use! what else might i have missed that could fit my description?
You should definitely try some Tintagel.
I am sooooo looking forward to wearing lots of Masquerade, Grand Guignol and of course my beloved Hunter Moon.
ETA: How could I forget my newest love, Sudha Segara! Spicy and comforting.

You should definitely try Ouija and/or Seance.

Lycanthrope recently posted that he ordered Silk Road because it smells like Whippoorwill.

This actually reminds me quite a bit of Geek. I guess it's the moss that is one of the most prominent notes in both of them for me. Despite my chemistry's tendency to amp rose notes, I am not getting any rose, well maybe just a teeny tiny bit in the background since the idea's been planted in my head. I am liking this quite a bit, however, it may ultimately be a bit too masculine for me. Anyone who is into earthy, woody, mossy scents should definitely check this one out.

The fruity booziness of Grand Guignol is reminding me quite a bit of Hunter Moon.
-
Unfortunately, my chemistry amps vanilla like crazy, so this basically ended up smelling like vanilla-flavored White Light on me. Sweet, light, floral and powdery are not my things at all, but I suspect Black Opal will be incredibly popular because I'm a weirdo who rarely likes the most popular scents.
-
Most of the wine scents go waaaaay too fruity on me, but I absolutely love Hunter Moon. I would consider doing all kinds of inappropriate things if Beth would make a catalog scent with a similar smokey wineyness.
-
If she really likes lavender, I would suggest Nanshe. To me it's the most herbaceous of Beth's lavender blends. At times it does have a slight lemony note, but it really does smell like an actual lavender plant to me.

I have recently and unexpectedly fallen in love with Sudha Segara. It is somehow a bit spicy and a bit creamy without being too spicy or too foody, and I agree with the people who have said there is something tealike about it.
-
Mmmmm....Geek! I agree with pretty much everything said above, though my chemistry may be amping the grass and moss a bit. Amazingly, I'm not getting any cedar which will often ruin a scent for me. I'm a bit worried that this may turn out to be too masculine for me in the end, but I definitely plan on holding on to it until fall, because it's definitely not a scent meant for this 90+ degree weather.
-
Severin, no question about it.

I usually get an email confirmation from the lab, but I didn't get one yesterday when I placed an order, so maybe something is wonky with their computer this week.

I suspect you would really like Strength, too. I remember it being very rich, warm and resiny.
