  1. THE SECOND OF THE THREE SPIRITS
The moment Scrooge’s hand was on the lock, a strange voice called him by his name, and bade him enter. He obeyed.

It was his own room. There was no doubt about that. But it had undergone a surprising transformation. The walls and ceiling were so hung with living green, that it looked a perfect grove; from every part of which, bright gleaming berries glistened. The crisp leaves of holly, mistletoe, and ivy reflected back the light, as if so many little mirrors had been scattered there; and such a mighty blaze went roaring up the chimney, as that dull petrification of a hearth had never known in Scrooge’s time, or Marley’s, or for many and many a winter season gone. Heaped up on the floor, to form a kind of throne, were turkeys, geese, game, poultry, brawn, great joints of meat, sucking-pigs, long wreaths of sausages, mince-pies, plum-puddings, barrels of oysters, red-hot chestnuts, cherry-cheeked apples, juicy oranges, luscious pears, immense twelfth-cakes, and seething bowls of punch, that made the chamber dim with their delicious steam. In easy state upon this couch, there sat a jolly Giant, glorious to see; who bore a glowing torch, in shape not unlike Plenty’s horn, and held it up, high up, to shed its light on Scrooge, as he came peeping round the door.

“Come in!” exclaimed the Ghost. “Come in! and know me better, man!”

Scrooge entered timidly, and hung his head before this Spirit. He was not the dogged Scrooge he had been; and though the Spirit’s eyes were clear and kind, he did not like to meet them.

“I am the Ghost of Christmas Present,” said the Spirit. “Look upon me!”

Scrooge reverently did so. It was clothed in one simple green robe, or mantle, bordered with white fur. This garment hung so loosely on the figure, that its capacious breast was bare, as if disdaining to be warded or concealed by any artifice. Its feet, observable beneath the ample folds of the garment, were also bare; and on its head it wore no other covering than a holly wreath, set here and there with shining icicles. Its dark brown curls were long and free; free as its genial face, its sparkling eye, its open hand, its cheery voice, its unconstrained demeanour, and its joyful air. Girded round its middle was an antique scabbard; but no sword was in it, and the ancient sheath was eaten up with rust.

Pine boughs, plum pudding, spiced pears, sugared chestnuts, punch floated with oranges, boughs of holly, and myrica berries.

In the bottle this is absolutely FOODY. Its hard to pick out any particular note and on first sniff it starts off sweet and ends with a spicy note. I'm loving this so far.

Once on, the spiced pears leap out then let the boughs of holly and pine through to say 'hai'. Then their is a faintness of the plum pudding. Basically, this scent embodies the moment when you curl up next to your christmas pine as a boutiful dinner is brought out from the kitchen. This scent is foody, yes, but the spice and pine is there enough that I'd say that those who dont utterly dispise foody scents may be fine with this one. This bottle is WIN for me :D

  2. I got my Yules today and it had the same label as the one in the photo, which also matches a description post above. And my Snowflakes bottle was the same kind of look as the Snow White label... so I dont think there are multiple labels for the yules. Maybe Pink Snowballs is a mutant with a unique label?

the 13 label art is AWESOME! i'm glad i picked up a partial bottle, coz i'm keeping it even if the perfume doesn't work out. ^-^

also i'm really loving the xmas labels. i'm wondering though, why is pink snowballs so different? all the other xmas (non miskatonic) labels seem to have the same style, except pink snowballs. please tell me this isn't like the vampires with two different label styles for everything......>.<

  3. Holloween: Trick or treat this year! Last year it was Samhain.

Fall: Lambs-Wool (which lasts and lasts on me), Samhain, Gingerbread Poppet, and Trick or Treat.

Christmas: A toss up between Snow White and Nuclear Winter (last year it was Winter)

Winter: Gingerbread poppet, Rose Red (who never lasts...) and Nuclear Winter

I would wear Snow White all the time but...I have to limit myself  I have a backup for my 2007 bottle but I fear running out of her beauty.... Which is why having the room spray was such a neccesity C:

  4. Almond and I dont get along A LOT. But I still wanted to try Bite Me because...its vampire related and I needed to.... But alas, almond freaked out on me again, with the adition of my sometimes-enemy, caramel, this blend was doomed to fail. I get a strong, sickly smell of florals (yes, almond becomes florally on me, why I dont know.) and it overpowers all the other decants, including Sugar moon that I kinda smothered. This is a big NO for me. Away with thee!

    >OMG! now that I read one of the other reviews, yeah, the rose is like...beast in this thing.

  5. Caramel and me usually have a very odd relationship. Sometimes we're wonderful together...other times it becomes chaos. Luckily, in creepy it is a pleasant, as mentioned above, starbucks-ey kind of caramel apple goodness. Its defenently a sweeter blend but it doesnt smell too foody for me. 3/5, because caramel is a sneak.

  6. The apple in Poison apple was always to soapy on me, while Fearful Pleasure was a very mighty apple that could crush you. The apple in Lambs wool is a sweet, lovely apple. Remenescent of Poison apple but...better. It deffenently evokes the idea of fall. I might have to get a bottle....

  7. To me this is mostly strawberry and watermelon with light gardenia in the background. I was a bit nervous at first because typically flowers like gardenia become floral beasts on me but not with this blend :) It also carried an undertone similiar to crawdad dream, almost aquatic but not quite.

  8. This actually smells A LOT like the BPAL aniversary secnt we just had that was Alice themed. It carried that sweet gum like smell to it. If Dorian was spilt on bublegum then this is what it would smell like. I know thats not a very beutiful depicion but thats what it reminds me of :) This realy is perfect for summer.

  9. 'It isn't manners for us to begin, you know,' said the Rose, `and I really was wondering when you'd speak! Said I to myself, "Her face has got some sense in it, thought it's not a clever one!"

Still, you're the right colour, and that goes a long way.'

`I don't care about the colour,' the Tiger-lily remarked. `If only her petals curled up a little more, she'd be all right.'

Red rose, oud, plum, bergamot, and red sandalwood.

In the imp its mostly sandalwood with a little bergamot. No rose to been seen..er...smelt. 0.0

Strangly enough the rose isnt what I smell most of after putting it on. Its mostly bergamot with a bit of oud and plum. The rose I do detect is slightly soapy. This defently is different then Red Rose, which carries a very pure rose scent to it. In snooty rose its more sophisticated or snooty before the roseyness. Its not bad 3/5. I'm keeping the imp but its not bottleworthy for me.

  10. So, I bought two of the Past yuletide packs last year and I've been using only one of the spray bottles until recently. I grabbed the wrong one and I figured I might as well spray away and instead of smelling gingerbread and pine it was in your face spiced oranges, the scent for the present spray describes. Is there any way that it was mislabeled?

  11. When I first put this on I coudlnt smell anything. So, logically I put more on. That was foolish. Now my wrist radiates dirt, which isnt exactly as bad as I thought it would be. I'm actually tempted to layer it with Nocturn and get a little dirty violet going  I do kind of like it but I'm more of a spicy or sweet kind of scent person so off to the sales. 3/5

  12. This smells a lot like Fairy wine to me and smells very much like a spring scent. Its very green and just a very happy, outdoors-ey scent. I was expecting it to smell a litle more grassey on me though. I dont like it enough to get a bottle but I will defenently hold on to the decant.

  13. In the initial application I was thinking that it was a preaty nice scent. There was a sweetness from the resins and being the tea addict that I am I was more than mappy to find the tea very readable in this blend. Then after a while it mellows down to be very herby with that perfume scent to it. Course that might be that corrupting honey that ruins it for me...I can see how on the right person this would be absolutly amazing but for me it just wont work. 1/5

  14. I think one reviewed compared this to that Zebra bubblegum. This reminds me of that to, appleified. Typicallly apple becomes straight up soap on me but here its a rich creaminess that I want to burry my head in. The guava and carnation stay in the background of the delicious apple and the sweet pea pokes up every now and again as if to jump up to try and be noticed. This really is a very beutiful blend. And for the price...even if it want I'de still hang on to it. This is one of the 2 scents I've ever gotten a backup of and you can tell it'll age amazingly. 6/5

  15. Now...the first time I tried this on it became straight up popcorn. Like Drink Me popcorn-ish. It was really weird. Now I try it on and it becomes this floral scent XD I really dont know what to expect with this one. That alone makes me have to say no. Who knows what kind of crazy can occur.... I really wanted a dark smokey scent. Instead I occasionally get popcorn and other times floral.

  16. This is so deliciously yummy! The plum sticks out a lot, making a fruity sweetness then the other scents rise up and even it out. This is defenently a favorite of mine from this years shungas. I can get the faint nutmeg and sandalwood but I'm having dificulty finding vanilla. Either way this is a very nice scent if your a fruity fan. Its not to fruity to be considered foody but its a tad sweet.

  17. When I first put this on it smelt very similiar to Tissue, thworing a small floral out and was just 'eh' on me. I wasnt crazy for it. Then...the change! It evolves to have a soft spiceyness to it thats really nice but just under that is a tone that says 'I will become soapy eventually'. While I do love what it morphs into on me this would have to be a slatherer and so I dont think I'll upgrade my decant. I can see how this can deffenently be amazing on the right person. And stated before by other reviewers if you are looking for a scent similiar to Glowing Vulva this one is very, very different.
