  1. To me in the bottle it smelled just like Yemaya, so I put one on each wrist to test it out. They are exactly the same for the first half hour or so and then the Yemaya fades and the Earth Rat is still there. So pretty much Earth Rat is Yemaya with more staying power.

I am also noticing the slightest slight bit of peony at the very end, which might be what makes the Earth Rat last longer.

Yemaya has always been a favourite, but I don't think there's any point in having both of them. I think I'll keep the Earth Rat because it lasts longer, but if I run out I'll probably just buy Yemaya from the lab rather then desperately searching on eBay for more Earth Rat.

  2. I believe that is a bottle from "Squeaky Clean". Her bottles used to look like that or very close to it.

    Here's the link: Squeaky Clean

Here's the description: Deep, dark, and mysterious. Fans of Nag Champa will be sure to love it. Scented with exotic leaves, resins, woods, a touch of patchouli and the faintest suggestion of the smell of musty old books and incense. This one lasts and lasts, probably because of its base of patchouli and wood. Nag champa smoke blends with sandalwood and other delights.

Maybe you could email her the picture and ask her.

ETA: I've never bought any of her perfume, but I remember thinking that the idea of a rustic typeset label was unique. If it's not from Squeaky Clean, I hope you find out where it's from. That would drive me crazy too. :P

I emailed Mandi, and yes it is a Squeeky Clean bottle! She changed her packaging about 8 months ago, but this is what they used to look like. Yey! Thank you so much!!!

  3. Well I generally avoid giving reviews, because my nose pretty much sucks at detecting subtitles, but since these are one of a kind I feel somewhat obligated.

I have CLXXXIV and to me it smells very strongly of sandalwood, with something sweet underneath it like orris and maybe lily or some other kind of white flower. It actually reminds me of the dry down of Pumpkin Patch #4, without the pumpkin (if that's even possible to imagine).

  4. ... Her ofrenda is a bounty of melons and grapes, strewn with the petals of the flowers of motherhood, draped with sea mosses.

Yemaya smells exactly like this watermelon lipgloss I had when I was younger. Not only is it an amazing smell, but it brings back all these wonderful memories of summer vacation, sundresses, swimming, grass, daisy chains...
