So this is today...

...and now, a rock chip/crack that will require replacing the windshield on Spencer's car. I'm normally a pretty sunny person, but I'm getting cranky at the universe.

...is going to bed at 8:30. Her new job is kicking her ass.

...just received a stern talking to from her physical therapist re: the wisdom of carrying several hundred pounds of flooring 2 weeks after being in a moving vehicle crash.

"Spencer has gone to the beach for the weekend. We can have a nice, mellow, private time. Just the ... er ... seven of us."

24 hours until puppy!

28 minutes in and arguing with the television.

65 Trick-or-treaters last night. Once again, Zombies are far and away the most popular costume. In a surprise second, Ninja Turtles beat out 'Princesses' for second place.

75=the number of unearned steps awarded if a deeply bored dog picks up your Fitbit and gives it a good licking.

After 26 hours of the most abject misery I can remember, I kept down a piece of toast. There was much rejoicing.

Ah, the wonders of cross country travel. As of 11:30 a.m., I've decided Wyoming still pretty well sucks. Any guesses as to what time this will actually post?

All of the leather from the Faire - boots, belts, pouches, straps, bags and garments - has been saddle soaped, conditioned, buffed, sorted and put away. We are high maintenance type geeks.

Am I the only one who still grieves the end of 'Calvin and Hobbes'?

An hour and a half on the road so far, and we've already been stuck behind a cement truck and gotten a window chip from flying rocks. I assume this represents all our bad luck for this trip, and we're in for smooth sailing from now on.
