Voluptuous and indulgent! A deep chocolate scent, with black cherry and orange blossom. This smells like those break-apart chocolate oranges..with DIRT. And holy cow, is it STRONG. Something in this absolutely did not agree with me but I gave it 5 hours on my skin before caving and scrubbing it off. It had morphed into something creamier and richer, but there was still something sickening in it. I still smelled the "dirt" at the end also. After loving Bliss as much as I did and especially wishing Bliss had a bit of fruit in it, this seemed like it would be a god-send. Not so!

Smelled like cherry candies in the imp, with the faintest touch of something else underneath. On my skin, it stayed cherry candies but the anise came out. I am ENAMORED with this scent at this point. It's a very sexy, but pleasant and sweet, smell. I couldn't stop smelling myself. This would totally be my ultimate BPAL if it weren't for the morphing. About an hour later..the cherries were replaced with the red musk but the anise remained. This doesn't exactly smell BAD, but I don't like it at all. I find it slightly nauseating. Distinctive, for sure. It leaves a really funny feeling in my nose and the back of my throat. Three days later!!! I can still smell that final phase on my wrist. I shower daily, wash my hands, etc. I even tried to wash and scrub it off that first day. Now THAT is staying power!

This smells on me exactly like it does in the imp. Light and sweet, but with a definite touch of something green keeping it from being really creamy. I can detect honey, vanilla, and almonds (I think??) and that aforementioned green note. I'd like this better without the green. I'd also like it better if it lasted longer..I'd give it 6 hours tops that I could still smell a trace. This seems like such a short review, but my wearing-experience was pretty simple..

    Philosophy Gingerman and Eggnog....

I'm not big on Philosopy stuff- though I haven't tried Gingerbread Poppet or Eggnog, I can imagine making your own bath and body products with them would yield better results.

    Mata Hari

In the imp- smelled like gross stale coffee and roses with another flower vaguely in the background. The instant it touched my skin it turned into extreme roses. No coffee and the other floral note disappeared as well. A little bit later..still screaming roses. It continued to scream nothing but roses until it faded completely. Weird!! This one seriously didn't morph on my skin at all past getting fainter. I'm going to keep this one but treat it like a single-note rose. [edit] My skin chemistry decided to stop make everything scream roses, so I've been giving the rosey blends another try. Ooh my..this is wonderful now! I smell primarily jasmine with a hint of rose, and the coffee stays but loses the "stale" quality. I also get really strong hits of fig every once in a while as well as the woods, vanilla, and tonka bean- it makes a very rich, stable base that keeps this from being a plain floral. I don't like plain florals, and I'll actually wear this one regularly (skin chemistry permitting). So trust me, if you don't like florals too much but like the other notes, try this anyway! It's WAAAY pretty.

    Dragon's Milk

This smelled very fruity wet, and slightly powdery. Really unique and I'm having a hard time trying to describe it. As it started to dry I got a definite strong floral undertone (ick!!!) over the initial wet smell with a little bit of vanilla. After that, it became a very creamy, warm vanilla with a very, very slight kick underneath that's vaguely reminiscent of cinnamon (and it's making me crave more cinnamon in it!). I love this now, and plan on turning it into my signature scent! [edit] was told that this smells like public restrooms. I can see where that point of view is coming from, so..I'm not going to be wearing this much. I don't want to smell like the potty.
  7. I love Dragon's Milk but whenever I sniff my wrist I keep thinking it would be completely divine with some cinnamon. Is there anything like that? I don't want anything really SPICY or less sweet. Speaking of "sweet"..what are some other sweet oils that are in no way floral? I really hate florals, no matter how much I try to convince myself I might like one.

    O

It smelled fruity in the imp and upon initial application. However, it's faded into a barely sweetened amber. I'm not getting "sex in a bottle" (or imp, rather), but instead I find this more of a "comfort scent." I like it at this point, but i'd like it better if it were either sweeter or sexier. I'm a big vanilla fan and my skin is pulling out all amber, a little honey, and no vanilla whatsoever. Not very "me." It's starting to smell a lot like incense, too, and that is definitely not what I want. The final stage is something very powdery and bitter with a bit of amber. No incense any more, but this was still not pleasant. Unfortunately, this stage came fairly fast and lasted FOREVER. [edit] I wear this in my hair and the difference is phenomenal. If you can relate to what I said about it (all incense-y and amber-y and nothing sweet fading to something faintly bitter and very powdery), try that. NOW I see why everyone likes it- the other reviews do it justice enough, so I wont elaborate. DAMN YOU, body chemistry! [edit again] Okay, the incense thing is unavoidable even in my hair. I need to figure out how to get it smelling more like it does in the imp! I am NOT a fan of incense

    CCNow Questions & Problems

Okay, that makes sense Grr though, if they just got my order on the 14th, that means I have to wait even longer for it to come in than I thought I did *grumble*

    CCNow Questions & Problems

I went to my CCnow receipt for my first order and clicked on 'check the status of my order' and this came up: Order Number: 66-1048 Order Status: Shipped Order History: 02 Oct 2004 - Received 14 Oct 2004 - Order Shipped What the heck? I know that can't be right, what exactly does "order shipped" mean on that page? Apologies for any airheadedness (completely missing something obvious, posting this in the wrong forum section, etc.)
