  1. This one is just gorgeous! It's definitely a little masculine in the bottle, but the type of scent that just blooms on my skin. It gets softer and prettier as it dries down and I can really pick out the amber, juniper, and currant. The leather and oakmoss are pretty subtle...and I actually completely forgot it had vetiver in it, which is often a death note for me. I think this is the type of scent that will age beautifully as well. I'm very glad to have a bottle of this one! :wub2: :wub2: :wub2:

  2. Like VioletChaos, I haven't had much luck with cherry scents in the past...or with chocolate either for the most part. I'm glad I took a chance on this one, because it is lovely! All the notes are present, but too well blended for any one of them to be troublesome. My only complaint is it stays close to the skin and its wearlength is relatively short...but that's what slathering is for! Overall, I highly recommend this scent and I'm glad I chose to wear it on Valentine's Day!

  3. Since I tend to amp it, honey does dominate this blend for me. I do get a bright sugary ginger note on dry down, which actually reminds me a lot of tea with honey at this point. I never notice any currant. This scent is really quite pretty and lasts a long time on my skin. I think I'm just not as into honey scents as I used to be.

  4. I think it's orris that goes super powdery on me, because I love a lot of other amber scents. Reading the note lists and sniffing the bottle, I kind of get the comparisons to Silver-Haired Bat. However, these two scents translate very differently on my skin. SHB is really a beautiful scent on me with a nice throw. I get compliments when I wear it. Unveil the Grace in Thine Eyes goes through a super soapy phase wet on the skin, only to dry down to a super powdery stage, before disappearing completely. I'm afraid I'm going to have to rehome this one, which is a shame because the bottle art is gorgeous! I feel the pain of someone having to dump an extremely attractive person because they just don't have anything in common. :huh?:

  5. Wow! This is so realistic, it smells like I rubbed an orange peel on my skin...which seems weird as a perfume at first. It gets a little softer on dry down, however, and is so yummy in my scent locket, I'm having a hard time keeping my nose off of it! I'm very happy to have a bottle of this, and can't wait to try layering it with some of my single note favorites! :wub2:

  6. This is amazing and a new favorite! Rich vanilla and rum that lasted my whole work shift and more! Rum-Soaked French Tonka, which smelled delicious in the bottle, sadly fell flat on my skin. I know there have been comparisons, but this one is WAY better imo. I can't wait to layer this with other single notes, but it is just as gorgeous all by itself! I can't recommend this scent highly enough!

  7. I wore Blue Snowballs to work today, which is delightful! I'm planning to wear Snowblind on Christmas Eve and Golgothan Myrrh on Christmas. I think Crowley will be my day after Christmas scent, since I'll require something spunky and devilish to get through after holiday clearance and returns! :smite:

  8. Debated on wearing Unfortunate Shopping Cart at my retail job today but decided smelling like baked goodies was better than blood and metal and might make the customers happier. Seemed to work - got a lot of comments on how yummy and cinnamony I smelled. Thanks Maison En Pain d’Épices!

I like this plan! I'm going to wear Cake Smash v6 to work today, which will at least make me happy and hopefully improve moods around me! :D

  9. I forgot to say it here, but when I got my pic with Ian Somerhalder, who plays a very sexy vampire on The Vampire Diaries, I wore The Vampire Bride.

That's kind of awesome, because I associate The Vampire Bride with Isobel on TVD!

I'm wearing Antique Lace today for my 4th wedding anniversary. It's a scent my husband loves, and I wore it when we got married. :wub2:

Also, I wore Witch Dance to work last Saturday for our big Harry Potter event! :D

  10. Yep, leather and paper. I don't really have much to add, except that this is a unique leather that I can't really compare to any other scent. Also, it's very nice! I've been looking for a good book scent, since I work at a bookstore, and I think this is it! :wub2:

  11. I really like this one! It's a very pretty dark musk and orchid blend...I think I'm starting to like orchids! As Little Bird mentioned, this isn't a very herbal scent. It actually reminds me a lot of Great Vampire Bat. I regretted not getting a bottle of that one, so I feel doubly happy to have a bottle of Bakunawa! :D

  12. This smells delicious and foody, without any particular note standing out to me. I love mango scents, but don't really notice it here, since it's so well blended. Unfortunately, this oil burns my pale skin horribly, so I won't be keeping it. :cry2: I know I can use a scent locket, but I told myself long ago not to keep any scent that hurts, since there are way too many that I love that don't actually cause physical pain (which I guess is good advice in any situation.) ;)

  13. I absolutely love this one! It's such a pleasant surprise because strawberry scents often don't work on me (notable exceptions include Overprotective Possessed Talking Doll and Loli.Goth). The strawberry, honey, and lavender are simply a gorgeous combination here. I also agree with angelicruin that this is not a soapy scent at all. I even got a nice compliment on it at work from a customer, who wanted to know what it was and where I got it. It was very interesting trying to explain the concept of a forum only scent to a stranger! I'm very happy to have a bottle of this lovely scent! :wub2:

  14. This is the 2012 version. I like this one much better than last year's, which was pretty, but kind of meh on me. It is much sweeter, as the will call reviewers mentioned, and I love that the oil is bright pink! I feel like I smell like pink tea...and a vampire at the same time. :D My only complaint is its throw is a little light on me, but I'm happy to slather! I will enjoy using my bottle!

  15. Something in this disagrees with me, and I'm thinking it's the gin. It does smell yummy and fizzy in the bottle. When I first put it one, I noticed a slightly funky scent, but then the dry down was lovely. I made the mistake of slathering on more at that point, which brought out whatever the bad thing was again intensified. On top of that, I had a particularly awful day at work, so now it has a bad association going for it as well. It's a shame because the dry down really is lovely and reminds me of the champagne scents, which I love...but this one has to go. :(

  16. Wet and in the bottle, it's very mossy. Then it goes through a candy-ish raspberry and grape phase, finally drying down to misty, pale woods. At least I thought "misty" at this stage, as opposed to "dusty." Later at work, my co-worker said I still smelled like candy, which I thought was long gone at that point. I find this scent beautifully evocative, and look forward to experimenting with it more this season.

  17. I mostly just get champagne in the bottle, nice but nothing special. On the skin, it quickly develops into something dark and fruity and gorgeous! I can't exactly pinpoint it, but I might be getting the apricot brandy note that angelicruin mentioned in her review. It seems to be in the same scent family as Sangria Champagne, which I also love. I took a big chance buying this unsniffed on etsy. I'm so glad that I did! I love, love, love this!

  18. Wet and in the bottle this is super strong ginger and cream. It dries down to the most delicious smelling vanilla cream ever! I was worried it didn't have much throw, so refreshed it a couple of times during work yesterday. I got compliments from two co-workers, which was pretty awesome...and the delicious scent of vanilla cream still lingered when I woke up this morning. I love this and feel very lucky to have a bottle! :wub2: :wub2: :wub2:
