  1. I grew up in LA county so when this scent came out i knew i had to test it.

In the bottle and wet on my skin it is smokey and slightly reminiscent of tiger balm... the white tiger balm not the orange. Upon drydown the scent morphs into sage, smokey smudgy sage like the type you burn to cleanse your house. It's not got the best staying power on my skin only 2-3 hrs at most before fading into the mere's hint of smoke on my wrist.

  2. I am sad. I got this in a PIF package and given how people rant about it i thougt it would be worth a try.

In the bottle it is a nice pine and vanilla scent.

On my wrist it turned horrible. Is smells like that smell/taste you get after having one of your teeth drilled for dental work. I'm going to try it again next week just to make sure it isnt a period thing but if it continues to do this it's gonna go in the swap area.

ETA: i didnt wear it more than 5 mins it was just that bad.

    10/16/9

I got around to trying it again. still not working. now it's that dental smell and baby powder. I think i'm going to have to put this in the no-go pile.

  3. In the bottle:

lavendar :P and a small hint of violets and narcissus. Slightly powdery but acceptably so.

    On skin:

Lavendar still strong but the narcissus comes out a little stronger. I can also smell the balsam as a small woody scent in the background. reminds me of going walking in the woods in late march.

    after an hour:

very soft, like a lavendar sachet in a clothes drawer.

in conclusion, i love it. i'm keepin this one.

  4. No troub gwyd. I also think you liked this more than me.

    In the bottle:

Caramel, vanilla caramel, with a small bit of guava. this smell is far to caramely for my nose at this state which makes me less likely to want to wear it.

    On my skin:

Vanilla cake and fruit, exotic fruit. Not unpleaseant but not my style. Reminds me of the fruity lotions that get offered for sampling at bath and body works.

    After an hour:

    it's sugar cookies.

in conclusion it's not bad but i might pass it on to someone else. I'm not likely to be wearing it.

  5. yes i can smell the grapefruit. it smells like white grapefruit not the tart red grapefruit i prefer to eat. the ginger is a tingly mild underscent and the tea smells of unboiled leaves that have been crushed lightly.

on my skin the ginger dissapears at the begining only to randomly resurface as time passes and then fade away again. the tea comes to more prominence and the grapefruit really really strikes me.

I can very easily see myself wearing this.... a lot.

as for the boyo he noticed it on me but seemed to have no adverse reactions to the scent.i asked and all he said is that it smells like perfume and he thinks hes getting a mild headache but he thinks it might also be psychosomatic. he does say that it seems less noxios than most perfumes.

  6. oh i can smell the amber it makes a musky scent to me. on my skin it wafted and made me hold my head up as if to show the necklace that wasn't there. at work since there was no airflow it got a wee bit strong so i watered it down. it still made me smile randomly through the day as it wafted past my nose. no one at work commented on it though which makes me sure that i had it on at an acceptable level.

vedict, yeah i'ma keeping this one. but only for those days that i need to feel like a queen

  7. Bewitching, tantalizing and dangerously seductive. A thrilling, exotic blend -- deceptively sweet, but spiked with malice. White ginger, jasmine, and a touch of vanilla and apricot.

in the bottle I smell the ginger jasmine and a whiff of vanilla. i didnt really like how it was in the bottle but i figured it was worth the skin test.

on my wrist it mutates to sandalwood. sandalwood with a whiff of nutmeg. like cookies baking on a wood stove without smoke. I don't get it but that is what it does. also the boyo actually likes this scent on me and has no adverse issues with it. this one for how it mutates is a definite keeper.

  8. i could really smell the plum, at the first whiff i was reminded of umeshu. not strongly but just reminded of. then it seemed like drinking in a garden. i know thats not precice but its the visual i have.

i like it. not as much as bhoban sith and i think i'll end up wearing this one less. my boyo got a mild reactiosn out of this one. made him a bit cranky and illish in an enclosed car situation even in a minimal amount of scent on me.

it does have staying power. its been over two hours and i can still smell it.

  9. well... in the imp this smelled well blended with nothing sticking out heavily.

when i put it on it came strongly. it was okay for the first little bit but by 10 mins in i smelled like i'd been mobbed by elderly ladies. (heavily lily of the valley) even my husband noticed. i washed a good half of it off with plain water in the bathroom of a subway. then it played nice. it mellowed out to a sweet mild and jucy pear with a mild undertone of floral. it made me want to nibble my wrist.

so i guess this becomes a linen imp since one drop with a dryer load of sheets should be just about the right ratio.

I gave it to my newly a mother sister and she's using it for a linen scent.

    edited for proper name
