I'm wanting to place an order with Paintbox Soapworks.  Do you see anything you'd like?

New & Limited Edition - 2025 Weenie Collection - Page 1 - Paintbox Soapworks

Jack-of-the-Woods, Phantasma, of the Grey Hound in soap or wax melt would be lovely.

Copied this question from my Switch Witch-My Witchee doesn't seem to be interested, but might my Pumpkin like the following?

I was fortunate enough to be gifted an entire collection of the Flower Letters. It's a story told through beautifully illustrated letters, pictures, diagrams, post cards etc. One snail mail letter at a time.   The letters and details are gorgeous.  I've finished reading it, would you like me to pass it along to you?

I'm honestly not sure.  It sounds lovely, but I don't know.

I make junk journals and paper crafts.  I would probably have time to make a mini journal or a paper folio type thing.  It would come decorated but with space to write and add your own touch or I could make a folio complete with address labels, stationery, stamps etc. to organize your writing goods.  Would you like to receive one?  My style is generally vintage but I could also do a Halloween one, winter holiday one, shabby chic or something of your suggestion.

Yes.

Anything from Haus of Gloi's fall collection https://www.hausofgloi.com/collections/fall-1 ?

Apple Milk, Autumn Bouquet, Blood Orange Marshmallow, Cozy Apple, and Little Hedgehog.  Samples would be great, or a candle?

Are there any creatures, autumnal or not, real or mythological, that you feel a strong connection to?

Bats, cats, hedgehogs, otters, seals, flower crab spiders, herons, California roof rats. Mermaids.

Speaking of fandom, I am going to place an order from Karen Hallion's shop soon and wondered if there's anything my pumpkin would be interested in: https://www.etsy.com/shop/khallion

She has so many awesome things!  Okay, just out of nowhere, Sebastian with the bandana over his face "the human world is a mess."  Yes, it is, Sebastian.  Yes, it is. Light(Galadriel),  Free (Harriet Tubman), An Impromptu Surprise the postcard or sticker(the faces on the pin don't show well), You Have no Power over Me, Don't Panic, Orca-nize,  Spoilers (it makes me teary, though--so maybe not).  I could go for more, but it would be a loooong list.

As many of you know, one of my baking specialties is eclectic varieties of shortbread. I think I made pumpkin lavender shortbread for someone last year, I've done spiced orange, chocolate orange, lavender peppermint (a surprising hit that I now make annually). I could do something with rose, a wide assortment of spices, citrus rinds, etc. Anything sound interesting (as an early reveal day zero gift most likely)?

Rose and/or citrus rind sound amazing.  But I trust your expertise, if you have something in mind.  Just maybe not lavender-- or a pumpkin spice mix because of the doom of Allspice hiding in everything.

Do you burn candles / would you like to receive one?

Yes/ sure.

Is there anything you'd like from Lush?

(I have a whole slew of things from recent sales, like gift boxes with Sleepy scented products.  They are good until 2026.)

Is there anything Emperor of Ice Cream scented?  Or any of the massage/moisturizer bars, Buffy the Backside Slayer... but I'd probably love anything without Laureths.  I haven't been to Lush in over a decade.

Are you interested in having some of this year's homemade peach or (some kind of berry) jam?

I love jam, sure.

Do you like plushies, like Squishables?

I like plushies, I'm not sure on any Squishables, specifically.  But, if you think I might like it, I probably will.

Do you like caramels?   We have a local caramel maker who vends at our farmers markets.  Any of these flavors sound good?  https://jonboycaramels.com/collections/buy

Yes; Balsamic Berry and maybe Molasses Ginger?

My son makes mead, would you like to try a sample?   Samples are in recycled nip bottles, about 50ml - OR I could do a 5 to 12oz.

Technically he makes a lot of "melomel" which is mead with fruit (blackberry, huckleberry, blueberry, raspberry) and sometimes "cyser" which is a melomel made specifically from apples.  Also sometimes he does "metheglin" which is mead made with spices and/or herbs -- like chocolate orange peel (made with cacao nibs from Theo Chocolates.)  I keep trying to get him to make a rose or lavender vanilla bean one for me.

I would try any of those, and the other people in my home like mead, if I didn't. But I could also cook with it.  Thank you for the awesome "types" mini-lesson.  Now I know what one of the provisioning items in my game is meant to be.

We made rose petal liqueur and lavender vanilla liqueur; are you interested in having a sample of either?  Samples are in recycled nip bottles, about 50ml - OR I could do a 5 to 12oz.

Roses and lavender are both from our organic garden, no spray.

I would love a rose liqueur sample.

Is there anything specifically Pacific Northwest or Seattle themed that you would like?  Local coffee, smoked salmon (vacuum sealed and shelf stable),  local tea (Friday Afternoon Tea, Market Spice, etc.),  local chocolate (Theo Chocolates, Maeve Chocolates, Boehm's Chocolates, Frans (also salted caramels), etc.), Huckleberry scented or flavored things, lavender scented or flavored things (there are SO MANY lavender farms here), honey, Seattle mug/shot glass/postcard/keychain, blown glass ornament or pike place pig, spice from spiceology, Bigfoot / sasquatch related items, Dick's Drive In kitsch, grocery bag that has PNW on it, something from Pike Place Market or the Space Needle, Liberty Orchards items (like aplets and cotlets), etc.

All of this sounds amazing.  I would love to try the smoked salmon, or anything super local.  The internet has two differing definitions for aplets: one is some kind of pasty thing? and the other one is like Turkish delight?  I'd eat the Turkish Delight kind in a heartbeat.  I  don't think pasties would make it intact.

Maeve Chocolate (formerly Seattle Chocolates) has "seconds" bags; are you interested in some imperfect chocolates?  Which flavors?  https://maevechocolate.com/collections/truffle-chocolate-bars?

The Blackberry one, coffee, toffee, malt balls, or Mexican hot chocolate.

Do you have a favorite kind of truffle or "candy counter" piece that you like?   (Turtles, seafoam, orange jelles, peanut butter cups, butter creams, clusters, chews, chocolate covered fruit or nuts, espresso beans, fudge, malt balls, english toffee, marzipan, rocky road, etc.)

Umm, from See's, I like rum nougat, the brown sugar covered in chocolate, and apricot delights?  I love fruit jellies-- they were my great grandmother's favorite, and she loved them, even when she forgot most other things but my name.  Oh, hey! I like seafoam,  it was just called honeycomb sponge when I had it (and it was not spongey, which was weird-- but it did look like couch cushion).

If you're sugar-free, do you want chocolate sweetened with maltitol or other alcohol type sweeteners?  How about stevia?  Boehm's has a selection of https://boehmscandies.com/product-category/sugar-free/.

I am not sugar free.  I am not a fan of most alternative sweeteners, because there is usually so much of them in there that it goes beyond sweet and into nasty bitter residue territory.  I am *specifically* looking at you, Stevia and Sucralose.

But, if you've got sugar-free things that don't do that, I'm up for trying them.

How many food items would be too many for your package?   If it's all different brands of chocolates from Seattle, honey, mead, liqueur, caramels, jam, etc.  is this a bad thing?

It can be all food items, and I would be super pleased.  It can be no food items, and I would be super pleased.

One clear advantage with all food is that it will get eaten and not contribute to my hoard of shiny things-- although the trade-off is likely to be new cravings for something that is hard to find around me. Hmm....

I think I have no strong preference as to number or percentage, but I would definitely not be unhappy with a box of only yummy food adventures.

(I don't think these were for me, but I'm answering them anyway, because it is fun.)

Do you need any storage for BPAL bottles or imps?

I don't *need* BPAL storage boxes, but I always enjoy them. ;)

Is there a tarot deck calling your name?

Is there a tarot deck that isn't, is my real question.  I think of tarot decks as 78 piece collections of art that I can also play with for insight.  And I am all about pretty pictures.  I think one of the insanely long Amazon wishlists has some decks on it.  I also love oracle decks.

Could you please be more specific about what kinds of socks you enjoy wearing?

I enjoy socks that have natural fibers and are sturdy, because calloused feet and tile floor are sock eaters.  Also, as soft of a toe seam as possible, because when those get the wrong way (especially in your shoe when you can't remove your shoe and fix it) it is scream worthy.  I like super thin socks and super fluffy socks, and like it when my socks don't ride down into my shoe.

I would enjoy wearing socks that made your feet feel better over a long day-- like massagey socks(not compression socks-- like thrombo-guards, but socks).  I don't think those exist, though.  But it would be awesome.

Would you be interested in any Tokidoki? https://www.tokidoki.it/ My kiddo collected for awhile and we have numerous dupes of older series that might love to tag along in your package.

Sure!  I'd love a mermicorno, or the botanical harmony ones.  I have most of one of the cherry blossom unicorno sets, but I honestly don't remember which one.  I'd be up for any flower or plant-themed 'cornos, or any of the kitty themed ones from the other series (or any animal cacti).

I'm one of those maker people.

How would you feel about a set of nice long armwarmer mitts?  I make them from thrifted sweaters.  Wearable art.  Any preferred colors? I have a new design in my sketchbook, that I'd  love to make for you.

This is totally awesome.  I'd love a pair. blue-greens, or seasonal oranges, or just greens, or "fall" colors, or neutrals.  I'm open, really. Armwarmers are great.
