    Apple Butter Rum

I got this one on an impulse; probably shouldn't browse BPAL while hungry, as a general policy, but I regret nothing. In the bottle I thought it was almost overwhelmingly sweet and buttery, sort of halfway between butterscotch and buttered popcorn jellybean. The bottle smell made me pretty nervous. On me: oh, there's the apple! And it's a nice, sweet and candyish green apple, not my ancient cough syrup nemesis from The Hesperides. It actually makes me think of those caramel apple lollipops (am I still hungry while writing this review, maybe?). I love those lollipops, and I love this apple scent too. It turns very cream-vanilla apple in short order and is entirely wonderful. I don't get any spice, a slight surprise since I often amp cinnamon, but this is still amazing without it. It didn't morph much for me and the apple note was the main one throughout.

    Vampire Tarot: The Fool

The dirt smell is so strong on me that I could actually taste it. That's... certainly not what I expected. I powered through to see what it would do on drydown, but it mostly just got greener and fainter. I got no mint of any kind, just greenish dirt (mold?). If you like dirt and your skin chemistry brings out some of the other notes, this is probably a really interesting blend! No luck for me, though.

    Spiced Rum Buttercream Coffee

In the decant I get a sweetened booze smell, but on me it immediately goes full blast on the spice. Whoa! After a little while the buttercream seems to calm it down somewhat, but I agree with everyone that called it a dry scent rather than creamy. I only get occasional whiffs of the coffee on drydown, and luckily for me the anise never really made an appearance. Not as foody as I expected, but a really nice spicy scent with some underlying sweetness. I kind of love it.
