Switch Witch Help, 2014 edition!

 

My past help blogs are still up, but keep in mind stuff might have changed - I'm still in the middle of some pretty major life changes, and it's changed my outlook on some stuff, and my priorities and whatnot. Most of it's probably still accurate, but you might want to double check stuff just in case!!

General Stuff -

 

Clothing is odd for me. I love graphic tees, but have a huge problem finding ones that are fitted properly, but are also long enough. Depending on the brand and style, I can be anywhere from an XL to a XXXL. Pants are also tricky - I can be either a 16 or an 18. Skirts I can usually do okay in an XL - I prefer fold over waistbands (like on some maxi skirts) as opposed to elastic ones.

Also, my wishlists are HUGE, lol. I don't get to buy a lot for myself right now - I've recently quit my job to stay at home with my 1 year old daughter, and whenever I have extra money I just want to buy her all the things! So I keep wishlists as my 'someday' lists, which explains the randomness and size of them

Eh, they're okay.

Eh. I can't think of anything I'd be super interested in.

NO NO NO, lol. Not a fan at all.

 

- Do you cook? Would kitchen accessories make you happy?

 

I do cook, some! I'm mostly still learning. I wouldn't mind kitchen accessories

 

- What culture or country (doesn’t have to be modern) do you feel an innate connection with? What about it makes it special to you?

 

I don't really know...right now I'm interested in Norse stuff, though.

 

- Is there any sort of art commission you would like: cartoony, pin-up, fantasy, realistic, etc? If so, what subject would you like drawn (a picture of you, a character, a loved one or pet)?

 

Not at the moment, I have so much art that I have to frame and put up as it is! I'm always open to more, but not anything specifically commissioned!

 

- What do you find yourself doing for fun in your free time? What are your main hobbies and interests?

 

In my free time I play video games, and read. I LOVE to read (which is why I'm trying to start a career as a writer!). I love Blizzard games - WoW (though I can't afford a subscription at the moment), Diablo, Hearthstone. I also love my 3DS, though I haven't been able to get a whole lot of games for it lately.

 

- Table-top gaming? If yes, what kind, edition, etc? Gaming accessories you long for?

 

We've been known to play some games, we like 7 Wonders, Munchkin, that kind of stuff. We've been longing for Small World (I want the Underworld edition (I think that's what it's called, anyway). Accessories? Boxes to hold loose cards would be good, we have a bunch of card type games we've lost (or the dog we used to have ate) the original boxes for.

- DVD movies or games that you wish would magically appear in your hands?

 

I'd LOVE the Harry Potter collection of movies. I also have a bunch of Disney movies on my amazon list, I'd love a collection to show to my daughter when she's a little older! As for games...I'm REALLY interested in Doomtown which just came (back) out, that's about the only one right now I think. Small World would be cool, but Doomtown is higher on the list, lol.

Of course! I'll be making as much as I can for my witchee, so I'm more than happy to receive homemade goodies

 

- What kind of snacks or candy from other countries/states would you like to try?

I can't think of anything specific at the moment. Well, maybe ketchup chips. Those seem to be really hard to find in Florida, and I used to get them all the time up north. I LOVE ketchup chips!

- Do you have a Facebook profile (or other social media) that you are comfortable linking to aid your witch in stalking? Please note whether you are willing to add BPALers as friends.

Eh....I'm at a point right now where I'm not adding people unless I talk to them a lot on the forums. Trying to cut down on the FB stuffs a bit. So I'll have to think about it. I *will* however try to be a bit more active on the forums, and I'm more than willing to answer any questions Also, Venneh, nekogrrl, lioness, skyelyric, Coldie, OctoberGwen... those are all good people to ask for facebook stalking help Also I'm pretty active on Pinterest, linked above!

- Do you have a favorite internet meme, character or pop culture fandom?

Groot! Also World of Warcraft, Sailor Moon. Those are my big ones right now. And Star Trek. And of course witch kitsch, being halloween and all Ooooh, and She-ra. LOOOVE She-ra.

 

- Do you like puzzles/riddles/treasure hunts and that sort of thing?

 

They are fun - I do have a HUGE puzzle book right now that I'm slowly working on though (Maze of Games). Though I do love Logic Puzzles and sure wouldn't complain about getting more of those!

 

- If you were to receive music, would you want a physical CD or digital versions?

 

Either is fine

- What’s a current problem/annoyance you have that could be remedied but you haven’t had time to address it?

 

I need to clean my house in a big way. That's about it, lol.

- How do you feel about having some sort of trinket to carry around for good luck/wishes? I.e. a small figurine, symbol, card, coin…

 

I love that idea!

 

- Are you superstitious about anything? Any things you can't have in your house for that reason--bad associations?

 

Not that I can think of.

 

- Apple?

 

While I'm 'meh' on pumpkin, I LOVE apple! Apple type smells are my favorite in the fall, and dried apples are my go-to snack, I have a dehydrator and make them all the time

 

- Christmas/Yule ornaments?

 

If you like I'm not even thinking about that kind of thing yet, I like to celebrate one holiday before moving on to the next, lol!

 

- Do you enjoy poetry? Who are your favorite poets and what type of subject matter do you like?

 

Not huge on poetry.

 

- Would you enjoy receiving something related to a favorite Disney character?

 

I love Disney! I do live right behind Disney World though, lol. Favorite characters are Meg, Kida, Merida, Stitch (and the other experiments). I like a lot of the Pixie Hollow/Peter Pan stuff, love Haunted Mansion stuff (I have the hourglass!), Pirates (ride not movies), Jungle Cruise, pretty much anything Adventureland related (I worked there for 2 years, lol), Tarzan, Lilo and Stitch...okay I like a lot of Disney stuff!

 

- How do you feel about cute things as decorations or accessories? (Example: Would you enjoy this stationary - or do you prefer elegant/creepy/neutral stuff?)

 

I love creepy stuff. Cute is okay, especially if it's monsters. Or Sailor Moon.

 

- What is something you'd really like to recieve from your witch? Please be as specific as possible - no, "Oh whatever she thinks is fine!"

 

I feel weird asking for something specific. To me SW isn't about getting something you want, it's about gifting someone else, and getting to know your witch/witchee. BUT, since the question was asked, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE this wallet. Or this necklace.

 

- Tarot/rune/divination?

 

Yes! I actually finally found 'my' tarot deck not too long ago (Book of Shadows part 2 - So Below), but I still like to collect them for fun. I'd love to try rune stones - I'm big into Norse mythology right now.

Books in pretty much any form are awesome. I don't do audio books so much, but physical books or kindle books are AWESOME. New, used, whatever!

Stonehenge, lol. I know, easy stuff, right?

Love makeup! I have SO MUCH though, lol. But I am a sucker for REALLY holo nailpolishes. Nothing actual glitter - that stuff is a bitch to get off!

 

- How do you feel about profanity and off-color humor?

 

I don't mind it, but it's not really my thing. I mean, I swear on occasion, and it depends on the humor, but that's about it.

 

- I make hairsticks...would you like/use them?

 

I would love to...but my hair is MUCH too short right now. It'll be ages before it's long enough for those!

 

- Does anyone here LARP? If so, what kind of LARP? And what kind of character do you play?

 

No larping here.

Witches (anything to do with witches - hats, cauldrons, broomsticks...) and skeletons!

 

- Are there any GC scents that you know you love, but for whatever reason, keep putting off buying bottles of?

 

Blockbuster (the bpal version, not the TAL version) is the only one that really comes to mind at the moment

 

- I know not everyone likes Lush products, but if you do, which Lush items would you like to get from your Witch?

 

I just got most of my favorites (ultrabland, celestial, angels on bare skin), but I do need some more ocean salt.

I love them, but I have so many already!

Phoenix. It's an image that came to me a lot during a certain time in my life, and I want to get a tattoo of one.

Not especially at the moment.

- How would you feel if your witch or a minion of your witch showed up in person at your house with goodies? Thrilled? Annoyed? Completely creeped out?

 

Eh...I'd be a bit creeped out (unless it was Luna2119, lol, cause she's one of my best irl friends!). I'm at home alone with my daughter most of the time, and usually don't answer the door unless it's the mail guy.

I do not. I do like funky yarn though, for the rare occasion that I still make monster dolls.

Sure! I love turquoise, black, purple, green, and anything soft. For our kitchen though, red is good, even though I'm the one that uses it most of the time the manwench wanted everything red in there O_o

It is! And it's somewhat broken down into categories, too!

- If you were to receive handmade caramels, would it matter if they were made with raw cream (unpasteurized)?

Spices are always fun! I'm still learning to cook and experiment

I would LOVE a quill pen! Stationary and cards I don't use so much.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE maple candy. LOVE IT. It's one of the things I really miss about living up in New England.

I like Lush - Ultrabland and Angels on Bare Skin. I still have at least half a jar of each right now, so don't need any more at the moment (that stuff takes forever to go through!). I could use more Ocean Salt scrub though. Lotions I don't use a whole lot of, same with lip balms.

- Is there anything you would like from Salem MA (mugs, keychains, postcards, etc.or witchy supplies like incense, candles, books)?

YES! I love Salem! Witchy stuff is good, as well as actual witchy stuff - I'm interested in candles (small ones, I can't have candles burning for a long time, I'm a bit all over the place and can't always watch them), or anything for a 'noob' witch/wiccan.

Now that we no longer have a dog that would eat them, I would love some! Especially if they are nerdy/geeky.
