The Fortunes of Returning Home After a Perilous Journey

A hymn for safety while travelling: tobacco jasmine.

Spicy tobacco with a touch of jasmine. This is mainly a tobacco blend with just enough of a jasmine edge to it.

I agree with Mrs. Z. As it sits, the tobacco gets lighter, and the jasmine has a somewhat soapy quality. I would still consider this mainly a tobacco scent, though.

At willcall, I loved this one and bought it immediately. Trying it on a month or so later, it doesn't smell the same to me. I don't smell either tobacco or jasmine now—or really anything. I wonder if I got a bad batch?

I'd say pipe tobacco with an airy touch of deep sweet jasmine. The perfect type to blend with tobacco. Its got some leathery bite when it warms up...and I llllllike it. Redux is pretty complex for only having 2 notes...and gorgeous. Romantic, warm, and wafts wonderfully. Total keeper!

I'm going to agree too--a tobacco scent (pipe tobacco) with a hint of jasmine, that at least in the early stages is just a hint to sweeten things a bit. I have some trouble with BPAL tobacco blends (which is too bad, because tobacco notes are one of my faves for perfume). I like the pipe tobacco blends, but some, like the french tobacco, are awful on me and smell like cologne rather than tobacco. This one doesn't do that, so I do get to enjoy the tobacco (which reminds me of the kind of pipe tobacco note that sometimes shows up in Yule blends). I'm wary of the jasmine, though I like it, because the slightly soapy edge is creeping in there now.

And thanks to ZZ for sharing empties with me so I can sample these Fortuna blends!

Sweet, dark brown, slightly earthy tobacco that has a chocolate-y quality on my skin. I just wish that the jasmine note were sweeter and not a sour, soapy variety. The tobacco reminds me a bit of a less spicy Bulgarian Tobacco, which I love, but the jasmine isn't working for me.
