Ugh (fizzyBOOM)

Recommended Posts

Muscle ache relief.
Sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, shea oil, coconut milk, dead sea salts, oat straw extract, witch hazel, rosemary essential oil, and Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab's Elixir blend.

After a vigorous bodywork session, I definitely was in need of muscle ache relief.

UGH was wonderfully fizzy as well as moisturizing. And it's HUGE!

The rosemary was quite soothing to my aching body/muscles and quite did the trick.

This is the 2nd fizzyBOOM that I've tried and so far, both have down what they've touted. TKO knocked me out for the night and UGH helped release the muscle aches.

My tub afterwards is not full of glitter, tub ring or harshly strange colors.

All in all, I'm really enjoying the aromatherapy and moisturizing benefits of these fBOOMs. I :D that they do not contain artificial colors and extra ingredients that aren't needed. No naughty bit issues with these!

A big :P !!!

Thank you, Beth!

I dropped Ugh into my bath to try to combat muscle pain in my legs and back, which had been achy, weak, and heavy-feeling for a few days.

Note: this fizzyBOOM was demolished in transit; hopefully a better packing/cushioning solution is being developed. This was basically a bag of powder. The one decent-sized chunk did fizz spectacularly when it hit the water, but most of it, being pretty much just powder, dissolved on contact.

The scent is lovely. It started out faintly citrusy, which made me worry, but it settled down to something mild and non-invasive. My cat loved the smell - he perched on the side of the tub sniffing at the water, which he's never done before!

The color is a very light yellow. I had no bubbles; don't know if it's supposed to bubble. No ring in the tub, yay!

And the answer to the big question? Yes, it helped with the pain. I immersed myself up to my chin and just floated and relaxed as best I could, telling myself that I didn't have to go crazy over my upcoming busy weekend, that everything was fine; telling myself that the muscles were letting go and relaxing, that I would get out of the tub and have a nice rest. (This has a major soporific effect, too.)

And I did. I still have some heaviness and the same amount of weakness, but I'm not *achy* - and the headache I'd had is gone.

I'll definitely buy this again, but hope it arrives intact next time - I want the full fizzyBOOM experience! :P

And now I shall take a nap.

I've been pushing myself pretty hard in my martial arts classes, and added boxing to the mix to improve my sparring. Good for my technique, rough on my muscles! After Wednesday's class, I was so stiff that I could barely walk. My loving and brilliant fella drew me an Ugh bath, lit some candles for me, and left me to my own devices for a blissful half hour.

I asked him to only use half the bomb at first, and add the other half if it looked too watery... half was more than enough to fill the tub with silky, fizzy, muscle-melting magic. The scent wasn't too strong, just a pleasant, slightly medicinal background fragrance.

I slid into the water and my legs said, "ahhhhh." I felt the tension and achiness in my body leave; the Dead Sea salts escorted them to the door and they were politely but firmly asked to leave and never come back.

Any stiffness and soreness I had felt was replaced with warmth and relaxation. I luxuriated in the tub until I was approaching prunedom, then reluctantly climbed out. My legs worked again, my neck wasn't stiff, and my skin felt soft and moisturized.

Anyone who suffers from body aches should invest in a closetful of Ugh fizzyBOOMs. They are, quite simply, da BOMB.

I actually couldn't smell anything - though my sister could, so I suspect that like TKO, Ugh is just in an olfactory blind spot. None the less, after a hard day of painting preparation (stripping wallpaper, fixing holes, blahblahblah), my back was aching so I gave it a go.

The water was the same silky, moisturizing water that I've come to expect from fizzyBooms, and I actually was so relaxed that I fell asleep. By the time I woke up (way post prunedom) and went to bed, I can't say that there was any muscle aches.

I'm definitely going to be buying more of these in the future! :P

Oh man, I thought I reviewed this puppy already, but I guess not!

UGH might be my favorite of the 4 fizzyBOOMs I tried. I love it. It really does the trick, makes the water feel soft and luxurious, and smells really great, particularly in the bomb form (once dissolved, I don't smell it as much, it's just a nice light scent). It's a cleansing fragrance, sort of invigorating yet relaxing.

I'm having the best baths of my life with these bombs, and I definitely need more of this one.

Ugh was another disappointment for me. The water had more of a slippery, silky feel to it thanks to the sea salts, but my skin actually felt really dry when I got out of the water. The water was a yellowy color with this one, and I know it’s a superficial thing but the dirty water color does turn me off. As for the fragrance, it was once again pretty nonexistent. It smelled like medicinal lemon cough drops in the baggie and had no fragrance once it dissolved. Not moisturizing in the least and pretty ineffective for real issues. Maybe the lab should just stick with perfume oils....

Fizzy BOOMs aren't working for me. I'm slowly making my way through my box of them and haven't been wowed yet. I didn't notice Ugh helping with any of my muscle aches after my work out. It had a faint fizzy lemon smell that reminded me of lemon soda (Sierra Mist) while it was dissolving, but it had no fragrance at all after about a minute of being in the water. No scent. No moisturizing properties that I noticed. Just... nothing. :P
