doomsday_disco Report post Posted September 3 Lusty Gallant Dragons are notorious romantics, deeply theatrical, thrill-seeking troublemakers that can be found anywhere where mischief can be made. Their hoards overflow with theater tickets, love tokens, stolen ribbons, jeweled masks, and gambling implements, and their vivid scales perfume the air with rhubarb jam, tangerine, pink pepper, pink cherry, carnation, neroli, and cherry sugar. wilhelmscream Report post Posted September 7 In the bottle: PINK! Mostly getting rhubarb and cherry, a bit of tangy tangerine. On the skin: Jem is truly outrageous! Truly, truly, truly outrageous! (Sorry, I've been doing a rewatch over the long Labor Day weekend) So boldly fruity and fun, almost syrupy. Tart from the rhurbarb, tangerine and cherry, with a bit of kick from the carnation and pink pepper. But not too tart and not too kicky, because that sugar ties everything together. (Outrageous!) Leopard403 Report post Posted September 22 The scent itself leans fruity, but it’s not as bombastic as I expected looking at the scent notes. It’s as if this dragon purrs rather than roars, or perhaps just makes a disinterested “mrrrrpp” when patted on the head. She stays close to the skin; this isn’t a large dragon. In fact, I think she has the size and the frolicking nature of a baby goat. Because of that, she’s a crash course in weird, delightful energy. Smells light and girly in the bottle. It’s strange when applied to my skin, though. There are a lot of different notes here, and something about the blend seems to confuse my brain. The olfactory experience is somehow… I don’t know… discordant. It’s like by brain glitches when taking a deep huff. I have never reacted this way to a perfume and it feels really wild. I need to keep exploring this, with the hope I can expand this review which is probably the least helpful ever.
LavenderCoffee Report post Posted September 29 beautifully, burstingly fruity on application. I had to try this for the rhubarb, but I was eyeballing all the rest of it with trepidation. it's so pretty though and I'm kindof obsessed! the pink cherry does feel distinct from the standard bpal cherry, and the tangerine rounds it out for a perfect (for me) balance of tart and sweet (60/40). the florals come out as it dries, and they also prove to be well balanced. the fruit settles into a tropical-toned jam with the flower petals suspended in it. wodnesse Report post Posted September 30 (testing after a couple day of rest) Wet you can really smell the neroli most of all, but once I put it on it recedes behind this incredible tart and fibrous rhubarb note, the tangerine/pink cherry round out the fruity heart of the scent, the pink pepper tickles the nose on top, and the carnation is subdued but present. It has an overall sweet and fruity profile, but the cherry sugar note is not overwhelming in any way. Because this doesn't have any kind of puff pastry or dough note, this straddles the intersection between "Fruity", "Floral" and "Gourmand", I'm definitely happy I grabbed it for that complex central rhubarb note.
