BPAL Madness!

Recommended Posts

The least dignified name in draconic taxonomy belongs to one of its most accomplished ambush hunters. They vanish into marsh grasses, duck ponds, abandoned monastery gardens, and wetland reeds. They cultivate rare medicinal plants and collect willow whistles, abandoned waterfowl nests, and river stones. Contrary to their unfortunate name, they are fastidious creatures, endlessly grooming their matte moss-green scales that are scented with pale lichen, damp soil, fig sap, crushed fern, patchouli root, oakmoss, sweet tabac, and vetiver.

What a fun name to launch at unsuspecting folks curious about your perfume!

In the bottle: Green and earthy. Face-planted in ferns and dirt!

On the skin: Despite it being very green and earthy, it also smells soft and clean. It's that oakmoss and vetiver brightening everything up considerably, and the sweet tabac and patchouli cut the bite of the crisp greenery.

Oh this is absolutely lush. It smells like rolling around in a bed of moss while dappled sunlight freckles your face. It's green and fresh and that sweet tabac gives it a little gentleness.

I love this! It smells like a damp, shaded woodland glade full of greenery. The fig sap gives it a smooth, underlying sweetness. It smells earthy and fresh at the same time.

Edit: this is so addictive and comforting to me; an unexpected holy grail green scent. 💚

As a big fan of the Lab's earth and dirt notes, Goose Turd was top of my wishlist for must-get bottles from this year's Dragon Con.

In the bottle and upon initial application I get lush greenery and fresh tilled earth. There are aspects of this scent that put me to mind of Laura, but without the unsettling chemical bits.

It takes a while to fully settle in, but once it's warmed and bloomed, there's a beautiful laying-in-the-forest vibe that is just lovely. It's warm, and there's a bit of spice that I imagine is some combination of the patchouli and vetiver lending a foundation to ground it all. But the earth and moss notes are really the stars for me.

Glad I blind bottled a backup- I have a feeling this is going to age beautifully. 💚💚💚
