wodnesse Report post Posted September 28 My bottle just arrived, so I'm goblin testing this ASAP since it was truly the blindest-of-buys for me (only one facebook impression at the time I bought it) It's honestly super classy and delicious, it's less gourmand than you'd expect; the vanilla bean is sweet and dark and the blackberry is also low and dark and juicy. The vanilla almost has an indolic floral quality; much more like the dark oil pressed fresh from the vanilla bean than the brighter vanilla variants. I can definitely imagine wearing this alone and pairing it with a fougere/cologne like "The Decadents". The closest comparison I have for it is the blackberry cream cheese sufganiyot which is MUCH foodier and has a thick, fatty cream cheese note. This duet has a much more simple scent profile, much less gourmand. The blackberry note really comes in on the end of the sniff as just a rounded dark juicy splat and sticks close to my skin, while the vanilla has much more throw. Pris Report post Posted October 3 Love this one! Juicy, tangy, blackberry with a slightly dark background note over a nicely rounded sweet vanilla.
