A wandering innamorato whose heart is as quick to break as it is to swear eternal devotion; all graceful gestures, honeyed words, and impossible romances played beneath painted skies. A bouquet dropped upon the stage before the final curtain.

 

White carnations, orris butter, white rose, heliotrope, sugared almond blossom, bourbon vanilla silk, Venetian musk, pale sandalwood, beeswax, and a flourish of bergamot.

Fresh from the mailbox, it makes me think of From Whose Eyes As They Glance Flowed Love. 

The floral elements are gathered up and grounded gently by the orris butter and sandalwood. As it dies down, the beeswax emerges and gives it a mellow, richer sweetness than the florals on their own. It makes me think of golden hour light on gauzy, pale curtains, with the golden elements strengthening as the scent wears on I smell freshly bathed, but not at all soapy. I love it. It does have a bit of overlap with From Whose Eyes, and I adore them both.

Thank you! Really good to know the similarities. I just got Rose Moon: White Rose Petals and Cream and it also have some FWE similarities

Wet on the skin, I can detect some carnation amid all the florals. Rose is strongest. On drydown, all I got from this is white rose!

In the bottle: Smooth, buttery florals and sweet almond. I'm almost getting like an almond croissant from it?

 

On the skin: This... smells... like... a Sofia Coppola movie? Not to take away from the Lestat of it all, but for me... Faded polaroids of blonde sisters in white nightgowns, linking arms around the dying elm tree in their front yard, or laying in a pile together listening to Carole King's Tapestry. 

 

It's a pale, creamy sort of wave. I think what I'm amping the most is vanilla silk, sandalwood and musk, so there's a very sweet softness to everything. The florals are there, but they're so muted, diffused.

 

After about half an hour, I mean... it's just the dreamiest, creamiest vanilla sandalwood musk. Incredible. Instant favorite.
