A sweet reward for a worthy deed: caramelized sugar and sweet cream. This smells like a caramel (the sweet). It's sticky, sugary, and caramel. For those of you that enjoy caramel-based sweets, give this a whirl. It's everything you have ever hoped for.

A general-purpose luck invoking blend, great for everyday boosts in good fortune. The components include bourbon vanilla absolute, vanilla oleoresin, Ceylon cinnamon, almond oil, and pulverized pyrite. (Brian took care of the pulverizing.) This smells AMAZING. Like a sexy cinnamon roll. I immediately want donuts when I use it. Like 10 boxes full. How does it work? Really well. I had a candle dressed in it, then after just handling it, unlit, walked outside and my neighbor asked me to dry and fold his laundry for $20. The same day Nate got a ton of good advice as far as money went. It helped a looooot. I love the scent, and I use it on days when we need a boost or everything seems to be going wrong. Or for other people... I find it helps them too. Also the pyrite is super pretty! I'm not sensitive skin wise so I rubbed it on my skin and his without issue.

A fiery, aggressive protection blend. Wild-crafted frankincense essential oil, myrrh C02 extract (supercritical fluid extraction w carbon dioxide), ginger root essential oil and dried root, gingergrass essential oil, elder flowers, bay leaves from the TAL garden, Dracaena cinnabari, and blessed kosher salt. To me, this Protection is a mix of fire and stone. If the original Protection is like a stone armor, this is the upgraded version with flamey rocket launchers. The key word being aggressively protective. I have found this past week particularly taxing due to being a naturalized citizen (immigrant from South America), and the onslaught of news around the family separation at the border. It's been exhausting from an emotional front. And yet, we have to get up every day and go to work. And while I'm looking at spreadsheets, it's hard to keep going. This morning I dabbed myself on Protection v45. I walked out of the house, and there was a baby bunny in our yard. He/She hopped across the fence, and continued munching on breakfast. I took it as a sign. That yes, there is some truly shitty things going on, but on the other hand, life is still going on. Going strong. And it's not all bad. Hell, a bunny came by and said hello. And that's why we keep on trucking. It's fucking hard, but we're here to do hard work. Dunno about the smell, but I'll update this when I have a better idea. ETA: Btw, using Protection v45 is no guarantee that a bunny will come by and remind you that life is OK. That was my experience, YMMV.

A maddeningly festive blend of warm, buttery rum, cocoa, coconut, vanilla and a jolt of peppermint. It’s a sweet, decadent, slightly silly scent, reminicent of rum-laced holiday cookies. This Clytie knew, and knew she was undone,Whose soul was fix'd, and doated on the Sun. She rag'd to think on her neglected charms, And Phoebus, panting in another's arms. With envious madness fir'd, she flies in haste, And tells the king, his daughter was unchaste. The king, incens'd to hear his honour stain'd, No more the father nor the man retain'd. In vain she stretch'd her arms, and turn'd her eyes To her lov'd God, th' enlightner of the skies. In vain she own'd it was a crime, yet still It was a crime not acted by her will. The brutal sire stood deaf to ev'ry pray'r, And deep in Earth entomb'd alive the fair. What Phoebus could do, was by Phoebus done: Full on her grave with pointed beams he shone: To pointed beams the gaping Earth gave way; Had the nymph eyes, her eyes had seen the day, But lifeless now, yet lovely still, she lay. Not more the God wept, when the world was fir'd, And in the wreck his blooming boy expir'd. The vital flame he strives to light again, And warm the frozen blood in ev'ry vein: But since resistless Fates deny'd that pow'r, On the cold nymph he rain'd a nectar show'r. Ah! undeserving thus (he said) to die, Yet still in odours thou shalt reach the sky. The body soon dissolv'd, and all around Perfum'd with heav'nly fragrancies the ground, A sacrifice for Gods up-rose from thence, A sweet, delightful tree of frankincense. Tho' guilty Clytie thus the sun betray'd, By too much passion she was guilty made. Excess of love begot excess of grief, Grief fondly bad her hence to hope relief. But angry Phoebus hears, unmov'd, her sighs, And scornful from her loath'd embraces flies. All day, all night, in trackless wilds, alone She pin'd, and taught the list'ning rocks her moan. On the bare earth she lies, her bosom bare, Loose her attire, dishevel'd is her hair. Nine times the morn unbarr'd the gates of light, As oft were spread th' alternate shades of night, So long no sustenance the mourner knew, Unless she drunk her tears, or suck'd the dew. She turn'd about, but rose not from the ground, Turn'd to the Sun, still as he roul'd his round: On his bright face hung her desiring eyes, 'Till fix'd to Earth, she strove in vain to rise. Her looks their paleness in a flow'r retain'd, But here, and there, some purple streaks they gain'd. Still the lov'd object the fond leafs pursue, Still move their root, the moving Sun to view, And in the Heliotrope the nymph is true. Excess of love begetting excess of grief: heliotrope, frankincense, muguet, osmanthus, and neroli. This post is merely a placeholder for future reviews. Soothes your nerves, brings calm to the household, infuses your space with a grounded tranquility. French lavender, jasmine grandiflorum, myrrh essential oil and oleoresin, rose petals and rose otto essential oil, jasmine blossoms, and frankincense tears. This smells so beautiful! It's a rich, heady floral-resin smell, so relaxing it's almost sleep-inducing, and I notice some notes in common with TAL Nocturne, but this is softer and more grounded .... a reminder to stop, smell the super-gorgeous roses, and share that softness and compassion.

Dark, spicy, animalic: Nagdi frankincense, bois de cade, beeswax, Somalian myrrh, and Laotian oudh. I get mainly frankincense and oudh with a whiff of beeswax. It's dark, resinous, and just smells like expensive salon products.
-
[No additional description provided.] I get mainly tinsel and amber. Honestly, it was slightly masculine on wet, and then the amber comes peeping through.

Lumps of pumpkin fudge, marshmallow glop, cookie crumbs, caramel smears, and bits of sticky fuzz. Brown sugar, cookies, pumpkin an and a whiff of candy. This smells like sugary pumpkin cookies. I sort of want to eat my hair.

A solemn, pale child standing amongst snow-laden tombs as wet flakes descend from a leaden sky. I have not tried the atmosphere spray. In the decant: I can smell dirt, moss, champagne, and stone. Wet: The dirt and moss are the first notes to make an appearance on my skin, and then I get some stone, a bit of sweetness, and the effervescent champagne Minh Scent mentioned in her review in the Etsy thread. The snow is cool, but it isnt the sweet Snow White snow note, nor is it really minty or pine-y. I also think there might be a gentle, pale floral note residing in the background. Dry: A bright, slushy, effervescent snow note dominates with a bit of floral sweetness, moss, and stone behind it. I cant help but thinking of the Labs champagne note whenever I sniff this. I thought that the dirt had disappeared, but it ended up returning after a few hours, although the moss (which is much stronger than before) and snow are the main players on me. Verdict: I really enjoyed the wet phase because I am a fan of the Labs soil note. I wish that that note had remained as strong as it was initially and that the (Spanish?) moss were less prominent on me. Still, this is a very unique, atmospheric snow scent that isnt like any of the others I have in my collection. Im keeping my bottle.

Oak bark, pine pitch, and blood red mistletoe berries. So a ton of pine, hints of wood and red berries (non sweet just sort of bright curranty goodness). It smells like the woods in Christmas. Which I am honestly craving coolness in this 90F but feels like 102F swamp of a capitol. Insert all appropriate swamp, Hunger Games Capitol, climate change jokes here. I'm ready for some nuclear winter.

A legendary Assyrian queen, often identified with Sammu-Ramat, the wife of Shamshi-Adad V, she was believed to be the daughter of the goddess Atargatis. Her youth was filled with mythic adventure, and her otherworldly beauty and voluptuous sexuality ensured her two advantageous marriages. When she took the reins of power of Empress of Assyria, she expanded her kingdom by conquering much of Mesopotamia and Asia. She beautified and revitalized Babylon, and implemented improvements in Nineveh that helped to moderate the flow of the Tigris. She was renowned for her military and political prowess, as well as her ferocious and merciless sexual appetite. Red musk, pomegranate, orange blossom, and melon. Much like the HG, this reminds me of wine. I think sangria is an apt description. I don't feel like the red musk is overwhelming, and the melon quietly hangs out in the back. This really carries, too. I sprayed it a few rooms away, and I can smell it slowly waft in.

Amber, fig, vanilla flower, oak, patchouli, vetiver, dragon’s blood resin, leather, and neroli. Unfortunately, I don't like any one of these notes enough to enjoy this, nor can I pinpoint them well enough to say which stands out. This ends up smelling like generic old-lady perfume. This kinda reminds me of my grandmother. Maybe Chantilly Lace? Looking at the notes for it, they share some similarities. It's sweet and nice, kinda powdery. Nothing too heady or overpowering.

[No additional description provided.] When I saw this on Etsy, I pointed it out to my husband. He doesn't care to wear scents, but he likes Atmos Sprays and the description had several favorite notes of his. When the bottle arrived and we gave it a test spray, we both exclaimed, "It smells just like Christmas!" Just a touch of cinnamon. The sugar cookie dominates, with a good background of egg nog to give it depth. Good throw and durability. It was so good we ordered another bottle!

Amber, fig, vanilla flower, oak, patchouli, vetiver, dragons blood resin, leather, and neroli. I haven't smelled the perfume version of this, but the hairgloss has rapidly become one of my favorites! This is a very sophisticated blend-reminiscent of Nasty Woman from last year in that it has a patchouli/fig base-yet, entirely it's own thing. The fig/patchouli fade and blend with the woodiness of the oak and the sweetness of the dragon's blood, amber, and neroli, balanced by the vetiver and grounded by the leather. It doesn't have a huge throw when applied on wet hair, but an extra spritz when it's dried makes it more long-lasting. This is one that lasts through the day and renews itself when whetted in the next shower even after a shampoo.
