Dark Chocolate, Black Carnation, Myrrh, White Sage, and Plum Atmosphere Spray

[No additional description given.] I get lots of cocoa powder and dark, sweet, glossy plum with hints of spicy, sort of black peppery carnation and dry sage. I don't love the herbal, dry sage part. I sprayed this on to some throw pillows and it quickly settled into a soft cocoa and dried herbs scent. Kept making me think of clary sage, with a bright, golden quality to the dry, herbal component. I wish the plum were stronger. -
Belgian Chocolate, Ambrette Seed, and Rum Absolute Atmosphere Spray

[No additional description given.] I'm really shocked that this doesn't have any other reviews, because it's amazing to me, like my favorite atmosphere spray ever kind of amazing. It has even edged out The Agricultural Building, which I previously thought was the ultimate in chocolatey goodness. This makes The Agricultural Building smell like a cheap packet of hot cocoa mix, though (which is still great to me, as I love chocolate, lol). This is the sexiest chocolate-marshmallow-musk-thing ever. It smells like melting milk chocolate, melting marshmallow cream, and sex with dark, rich, vanilla-booziness. The rum adds a dark, rich, grownup warmth to the blend and the ambrette makes it like some sort of sensual marshmallow cream musk with melting chocolate. It's so smooth and amazingly good, and sweet without being cloying, because it has such a smooth, creamy feel to it. It's gourmand, but adult and dark around the edges. I wish that I could get this in perfume, hair gloss and bath oil form as well. I want to bathe in it. -
[No additional description provided.] This one is definitely a morpher! On wet, it's mainly dark chocolate and red fruits. As it dries, the red pepper flakes come out and add a spiciness to the blend. It dries down to a pimento-topped red fruit blend. Spicy. In some ways, this reminds me to dragon's blood. I could see the Queen of Mereen being into this. Medium throw and wear length.

Crushed red currants and a flurry of snowflakes. Fruity red currants and slushy icy snow. Again, the comparison to Ice Queen abounds. If you wanted Ice Queen as a hair gloss, give this a whirl.

White incense and black currant with mandarin, verbena, and green tea. Gah! I've never been the first to review a scent but hopefully I do it justice. I'm almost always a fan of the Post's white or pale incense notes so of course I had to try this. I'm a bit picky with tea notes and I'm not entirely sure what black currant is I don't think, but I'm *so* glad I picked some of this up. To me, this is mostly mandarin/verbena with white incense. There's a bit of green tea in the background if you look for it, but it's not loud and proud. It could be balancing out the citrusiness which I appreciate. This is a very spring 'til summer scent which will be used a lot at my house! Very bright, cheery, and all around just kind of light. Maybe someone else would be able to pick out the black currant, but since I have no experience with it I can't.

Amber and balsam peru with patchouli, blood orange, and rose geranium. This was the luper that I was most excited for this year, because I adore geranium and patchouli. My only hesitation was with the blood orange, because citrus can go too sour on me, and I wanted this to be an herbal-spicy-rich-earthy-amber sort of fragrance. I thought that the other, heavier notes would overpower the citrus, but that is not the case. In the bottle, I get creamy orange and nothing else. On my skin, a big blast of sour, tart orange. 15 minutes later, still mostly orange, but I think I can pick out a sweet, smooth, chocolatey patchouli and dry, sandalwood-like wood notes. Sadly, I can't really pick out the rose geranium at all. I get none of its green spiciness. I don't get any green balsam notes either. A half hour in, this is a barely there skin scent that's mostly baby powdery amber and a smear of sour orange. My biggest hope of the Lupers this year is my biggest disappointment

Honeyed patchouli and apple musk with a sliver of white fig. Out of the 14 Lupercalia scents I've tried from this year's Lupercalia launch, La Tentation is my absolute favorite! I am shocked that there are no other reviews yet for this amazing scent! The apple musk note is so beautiful. Wonderful, juicy, realistic apple! The honeyed patchouli compliments the apple perfectly. The fig rests in the background and gives the scent a sultry vibe. In the bottle: It smells like a fresh Pink Lady apple! On the skin, wet: Crisp pink apple and fig. It smells like perfectly ripe fruit in the prime of their season. On the skin, dry: The honeyed patchouli emerges and deepens the scent. The note patchouli in this reminds me of a mix of Badgers (which also has honeyed patchouli vibe) and Silky Bat (which has a sweet, light patchouli). The patchouli note makes this apple scent so unique and gorgeous. The fresh pink apple note becomes a playful apple musk as it sits longer on the skin. The fig gives the scent a sexy edge and makes it irresistible to smell. It is very romantic and reminds me of warm Spring evenings. If I were to describe this scent as a color, it would be a vibrant pink sunset! The throw is medium on the skin. I swear, the longer it sits on the skin the more it morphs into a more complex and luxurious apple scent. The honeyed patchouli and fig paired with apple musk is heaven in a bottle. I think La Tentation made it into my top all time favorite scents!

Fir needle and white tea with crushed fresh ginger, white amber, apricot, and oakmoss. Interlude After Sake is a beautiful blend, mellow and light. The white tea and ginger dominate the opening; the fir needles I only smell the bottle and when it's very, very wet; sort of a whiff of balsam pillow over what is otherwise a sweet/clean leaning perfume. The apricot and amber lend the sweetness, the ginger and tea prevent it from hitting foodie territory. There may even be oakmoss in there contributing something nice, but I have no idea what oakmoss smells like on its own. This is a low-throw perfume oil on me. It reminds me a bit of Kumiho, which I had an imp of years ago and loved, but could not wear because it lasted 0.5 seconds on me before disappearing. Interlude has medium staying power; lasting about 6 hours before fading to a lovely apricot-amber glow. Lovely.

Tonka absolute, ylang ylang, benzoin, and smoked vanilla musk. This is an extremely richly sweet scent. I was hoping for something a little more mild, but this is full-on, BPAL-strength smoke-heavy vanilla-musk and ylang ylang. It's sexy and sultry and bordering on cloying. Subtlety isn't the specialty here. It's kind of what I imagine Ted and Beth's bedroom to smell like, actually... If it had a bit more dark incense or something. If you like "classic" BPAL heavy-sweet vanilla, don't let this pass you by. If you want anything lighter, this is not for you.

Green tea, oakmoss, red sandalwood, bamboo reeds, myrrh, and chrysanthemum blossoms. This is a great gloss--I'm thinking it'll become a favorite for me. There's a fruity quality to it, which I think must be the sandalwood and bamboo mixing. They're almost juicy, which is not something I think I've ever said about sandalwood before. The chrysanthemum and tea (and maybe the bamboo, again) keep the whole thing fresh and light. The notes in this may sound heavy but this is definitely a soft, springy scent. It also lasts an impressively long time; I still smelled it clearly at least 8 hours after spraying.

[No additional description given.] Wow, I've never been first to review before, but this one definitely deserves some love! It smells exactly like the description, a perfect blend of dark chocolate and sweet orange, slightly heavier on the chocolate. It is so rich and delicious-smelling, it reminds me of those chocolate oranges I always drool over at Christmas time. Just like the other Post bath oils I've tried (I usually use them as lotions), this is super-softening and soaks in to the skin quickly, leaving no greasy residue. I just slathered this all over me after my shower and am happily swathed in a cloud of moisturizing yumminess, craving sweets. Chocolate lovers, grab some of this!

Honeyed vanilla and jasmine petals dirtied by labdanum, patchouli, and vetiver. Powdery sweet, very faint jasmine wearing off. So girly and gently pretty and soft. The labdanum, i believe, is adding a slight booziness to it. It doesn't scream a powdery scent, sometimes you want a scent like this though. Like a soft honey version of BPAL Euphrosyne (my moms favorite). Last at least a whole school day for me. This was also a winner for me!

Hay absolute, chrysanthemum incense, labdanum, tobacco leaf, and wild plum. First impression "Ooh! This smells fancy". Incensed plum with floral undertone. Good throw and wear length. I washed my hair and still got a whiff the next day. I'm not really an incense person but I am a hay fiend and looking for more plum.

King mandarin and golden amber, leather and beeswax, orange blossom, and almond rum. This is my favorite Luper atmo. Orange and almond are first which reminds me of this gluten-free cake I make with almond flour and orange zest. Mmmmmm. Amber and beeswax drift in shortly after to make this less foody and more delicate. I don't smell leather but I am unfamiliar with it in perfume so it may be a soft base supporting everything. A very uplifting and calming scent.

Green tea and honey with orange peel, hay absolute, bergamot, and cypress. Wet/fresh on: green tea and bitter orange peel/bergamot, quite sharp no honey yet, no hay, no cyprus. A fresh scent, very alive. 20-30 mins later, the honey has blossomed, and it is neither a light airy honey nor a thick syrupy one but a golden medium-bodied one (my favorite). The bitterness/sharpness has softened considerably and something else is emerging... something soft, subtle, and woodsy underneath. After about 2.5-3 hours the tea has mellowed to faintness and its mostly a honey-woods scent. To be fair, I tried this on the back of my hand and my hands have been hella dry lately. I need to try this again on my wrist or crook of my arm and see if the tea sticks around longer on properly moisturized skin. I like all the stages of this so far but Im in the market for a nice tea scent so ideally Id like to smell the tea for longer.

Mimosa, blue musk, cucumber, blackcurrant bud, and sweet almond blossom. I had thought: This one is weird, and I don't know how these notes will work together, but there aren't many non-chocolate bath oils for the Lupers, so let's try it. Maybe it will make sense when I smell it. In the bottle, it just smells bad. Disjointed, nothing going together. It took a while for me to try it on. On my skin, it's a wet-green cucumber with lightly warm-toned flowers and some black currant. Yup, it's weird. The notes feel pretty random to me. Once it dries it settles down into... I guess sort of a watery-green spa skin scent. There's a little floral left but the currants don't hang, which is for the best because it reduces the noise. It's OK at this phase. I'll keep this since I like the bath oils, but it's not what I'd hoped for.

White tobacco and apple, white musk and angelica, immortelle and terebinth, juniper and violet leaf. Ok I hate to be the first one to review this but I guess something is better than nothing... I put a little of this on without refreshing my memory of the notes and I went for a walk and I kept thinking "sweetened Christmas trees?" "sophisticated pine soap?" "this would be nice on a guy...". I couldn't figure out what I was smelling but it smelled kind of clean and herbal and pine forest-y. I guess I'm getting a lot of juniper and terebinth, and now that I see there is apple in it I can pick that up a bit too, along with a bit of clean white musk... not sure about the rest. It's nice. It has a winter-y feel to me.

Soft mosses, lotus petals, bamboo wood, ylang ylang, and vanilla sandalwood. Wow, this is a very gentle scent. Everything about it evokes softness, it's super pretty. The notes are very well blended but I think the soft mosses are at the forefront. The lotus and ylang ylang give it a sweet edge while the vanilla sandalwood gives it a smooth background, the bamboo wood lends a freshness. Overall, this is soft, fresh and clean. Nice for spring!

Absinthe, white clove, and patchouli. Wish I had something more exciting than the first review! Wet, this is bright and juicy absinthe- it actually smells more to me like lemon/lime candy than licorice. It's pretty and refreshing. As it dries down a little, I get more of the anise. Sadly though, on drydown this fades quickly into a very soft skin scent. I think I'm getting some of the patch, but it's really hard to tell with it being so faint. This is a decant I received yesterday though, so I will wait a few days, try again, and update this review.

Snow-dusted cherry blossoms and white honey. This is mostly the lab's minty snow note. Enough that I decided to wear Winter Landscape with it, which is also mostly the lab's minty snow note. It's lightly sweetened with a pale honey -- definitely a white honey, rather than something like O's main note. I get a little sweet floral, but it's barely there for me, and I wouldn't have guessed which type of flower it is.

White lavender and ambrette seed, grey patchouli, rum absolute, and vetiver. In the Bottle: Rum and lavender with a faint ambrette whiff On the Skin: Rum and lavender. Almost cakey sweet. Ambrette always reads as grey to me so with the grey patchouli and white lavender this is definitely a muted (but strong) scent only warmed by the rum. The play of the rum and lavender together almost gives an anise vibe. On the Drydown: This has massive throw. It's not a happy scent but rahter broody and melancholy. The lavender is strong! and at times almost takes over but the rum always reins it back in. Eventually the vetiver creeps in and turns an already grey scent ashen. Masterful and lovely. A perfect winters day scent.

Damp wisteria petals, lotus blossoms, tuberose, and Queen of the Night. I'm a lousy judge of dedicated florals. It's been my least-connecting and most neglected category, but for this spring I've been craving more flowers, and I've been liking the Butterfly Garden atmo. I smell mainly wisteria here, with a playful but short-lived touch of lotus. The rest of my impression is just of other flowers in the background, with a note in the mix that reminds me of creamy gardenia, but not quite. Not sure if that's the tuberose, Queen of the Night, or something else. I'm happy with this: wisteria is one of the good flowers for me. It always smells light blue-purple to me, with a dreamy airiness that keeps it away from cloying, and that's happening here. I wish I got a little more lotus, because it's another one I love, but this is a good spring blend.

Maple leaves, ti leaf, pine needles, cedar, and soft mosses. Red maple! This skin test takes me right back to October Dusk bath oil, but without the sweet honey. There is still a sweetness in this, like a maple-syrup sweetness, but it's quieter. Other trees are just perceptible through the maples, and there's a hint of smoke in this forest air, but a sort of maple wood-syrup-russet leaf smell dominates. While I can pick out subdued mosses, like mosses in the shadows of trees, this mostly feels like warm red woody-sweet leaves. This really puts autumn in my mind. It's beautiful, so I might wear this one day, and then cellar it until fall!

Golden honey, white carnation, honey amber, ginger blossom, and white tea. Vagina Treasure on my skin is the wanton love child of Hair Loosened and Soiled in Mid Orgies HG and a slightly more clovey Morocco -- and better than either. Really. It smells to me like those two got together and made a greater sum. Golden honey-dominant, but with a nearly equal part of spicy carnation when fresh on. The spicy carnation settles quite a bit once this dries; at first it calls a lot of attention to itself. This has a lot of golden, sweet fullness, which is mostly honey, but I think amber is adding to it. I don't get standout notes of tea or ginger at any point, but I have a pleasant sense of Other Nice Things Happening in the Background. Lush, sexy brew.

Chestnut and mahogany with black coconut, vanilla, and a drop of tobacco absolute. Oo, woody black coconut and vanilla! The image accompanying this blend for me is a wooden beach house I stayed in with some friends in Costa Rica, but with a stray wisp of moist tobacco smoke added in. The black coconut and vanilla blend well together, as do the nutty woods, with a pinch of lush tobacco alongside. Quite like this one.
