Tahitian vanilla and strawberry with tonka bean absolute, Italian bergamot, ylang ylang, and Haitian vetiver. In the bottle: Candied strawberries all the way. Wet on skin: Strawberries and more strawberries, with a bit of a citrus underpinning. Drydown: Aw, this disappeared on me! It is extremely close to the skin, so if you prefer not to let everyone in a 5 mile radius know what you're wearing this might be good for you (I tend to like obnoxiously in-your-face throw). I'm getting very light strawberry and vanilla, with the vetiver keeping it from being overly sweet. Kind of reminds me of a much lighter version of Beaver Moon 2012, but that always seemed more like strawberry cheesecake than apple cheesecake on me. I picked this up with the hope that it'd be a good scent for hot days when I don't want anything too overbearing, so I think this will probably work for that usage. I'm hoping it might gain a bit of oomph with some aging, though. And, to be fair, I tested this straight out of the mail box.

Green tea, juniper leaf, and honeyed green apple. Note: I'm reviewing this as a moisturizer and not as a product that I tested in the bath. In the bottle: The honeyed green apple is the first note to jump out at me. The green tea is quite prominent as well, and so is the juniper leaf, which has a bit of a sharp quality to it. The honeyed green apple note is so realistic, and I hope it will be the main player on my skin, since I'm out of Honeyed Apple bath oil. On my skin: The juniper leaf is the dominant note on my skin, and it is rather sharp and, well, leafy. The honeyed green apple note is present, but not as sweet as it was in the bottle, and the combination of the green tea with the juniper leaf just makes this smell like a clean, green scent. The green apple is stronger on my arm than it is on my legs, and I can smell it more than the juniper leaf after it has been dry for several hours, but by this point, the scent is rather faint. Verdict: This doesn't really fill the void of Honeyed Apple bath oil, as it is primarily a clean scent as opposed to an apple scent. I will be holding onto my bottle to use during the warmer months and to pair with scents that contain one or more of these notes, but I don't need more of it.

Chinese peony aflutter with gilded vanilla, sweet honey, peach, and spiced carnation. I've been super sick, so I should probably formally review this when my nose is working properly, but this scent is gorrrrgeous and doesn't have any reviews yet, so here goes! Y'all, this bath oil is amazing. It smells like stewed peaches with a little whipped cream stirred in. There's not a ton of whipped cream (this is probably the gilded vanilla note), but it's definitely there. The honeyed peaches, however, are the star of the show. I surprisingly don't smell any carnation, which is usually such a strong scent, and the peony seems to be freshening things up a bit so that the overall scent is not too foody. But if you like the Honeyed Peaches and Sugared Peaches bath oils, then pick this one up! Fluttered Peonies is like a more delicate, refined (I feel ridiculous typing that, but it's true!), slightly less foody version of those.

White peony and Florentine iris butter gilded by white ambrette, rice powder, grey amber, pale vegetal musk, and white chocolate. This perfume is very much fresh, melty chocolate as a top note from the bottle. It's definitely not a very dark chocolate, but I'm getting the milk/white or cocoa butter vibe from the initial blast. This reminds me very much of the No One Heard Her But the Sparrows atmosphere spray and this shouldn't be a surprise as it contains similar notes of white chocolate, iris, and grey amber! I'm actually not getting too much peony, which is sad. This reads to me, as a slightly dusty, foody chocolate-floral blend, very much like the atmosphere spray. This is wonderful, as it's a very nice spray, and now I can smell like it!

This blend is every bit as amazing as I'd hoped! Wet on my skin, I get pure melty milk chocolate -- the good stuff, like you'd find in Switzerland or France. The gunpowder emerges quickly, an exclamation point for the nose, and the myrrh harmonizes gently from the background. Over time, the chocolate and gunpowder sort of settle into the myrrh's warm embrace, but all three remain evident and play brilliantly together. Well done!

Marshmallow root, cream vanilla, Roman chamomile, and cocoa butter. Oh, my. Recollection is so lovely. One of the TP's gentler-smelling bath oils, and I mean that in the best way possible. It's a bit un-quantifiable. Not like, say, Peacock Queen, where you "smell like roses," or Pumpkin Pie Ice cream where you smell, well, exactly like pumpkin pie ice cream. No. Recollection is more of a soft skin scent, where the compliment is simply "Oh. Oh, you smell good" and you can purr a bit with the knowledge that you most certainly do. I used Recollection in the bath, applied to my wet skin. In the bottle and during initial application, the fuzzy marshmallow root was front and center, a fraternal twin to the Lab scent Stekkjarstaur. Love. As the oil warms on the skin, it takes on the creaminess of Boo, luckily without the salty under-tang I sometimes got from Boo itself. Then in the bath, a soft tea scent hangs close to the skin. Now that I am dry and warm, I notice the cocoa butter most, though the hints of all the other notes linger, too. I'm really in love. Recollection is delightful as a standalone scent, but it would easily work under perfume oils or hair gloss scents without overwhelming anything. Basically, it's the way I wish I smelled naturally, all the time.

Unfailing golden arrows dipped in lust: shimmering amber and copal with red musk, red patchouli, beeswax, hay sugar, and a drop of Turkish rose. I used this in the shower today! As usual, Villainess delivers an amazing sugar scrub, but this was my first time using one scented by the Post. I have an imp of Lust, and while I do like it, it dries down to pretty much patchouli single note on me. I did find Lust scrub to be heavy on the patchouli as well, but the red musk comes through nicely also, making this really sexy. The amber sweetens it up, but for the most part I could not detect the other notes, this is all about the patch and red musk. I really like it and am kind of wishing I had ordered two.... really hoping the Post will continue to collaborate with Villainess, it`s kind of a dream come true for me to have my favourite scrubs scented with BPAL (my favourite scents!). For those who have never used a Smooch before, I think they are one of the most amazing sugar scrubs I have ever tried. Perfectly scrubby without scratching my skin, full of moisture without being greasy or clogging pores. They have literally saved my skin, and I am never without 3 or 4 different ones in my shower. ETA: It turns out the listed notes are different from that of BPAL's Lust perfume. I didn't notice because I only ever got the patchouli and hints of red musk out of Lust, and since the scrub is all red musk and patchouli on me, I just assumed they were the exact same scent, but they are not. They do share the red musk and patchouli in common, but the rest of the notes are different.

White rose, orris absolute, warm tonka, bergamot, bourbon vanilla, and patchouli. First time to be the first to review a scent, apologies to the mods if I do this wrong In the bottle: a fruity wine-like smell, I'm guessing it to be the mix of the Rose, Orris and bergamot. Unexpected Wet on skin: same thing, rather fruity in a wine-like way or almost inky. Strange but I really like it! Drying: Starts to smell a bit floral soapy, not the biggest fan of this faze but it still smells nice. probably the Bergamot has faded and I'm left with Rose and Orris making it soapy, Haven't gotten the Vanilla or Patch yet, unless it's a fruity patchouli (which would really explain the opening). Dry: The soapiness is gone and I'm left with a pleasant clean (as in fresh air) floral, white rose with a slightly powdery orris and something (must be vanilla) lending some sweetness.

Red musk and almond husk with sweet fig, Bulgarian rose absolute, blood orange rind, and green cognac. Oh, this is lovely, and it reminds me of another BPAL blend but I can't put my finger on it. If I think of it, I'll come back and edit. I happen to looooove red musk, and it loves me, but if you are afraid of it then Daruma Doll is one you may want to try. The red musk is subdued and blends quite beautifully with the fig (normally a note I dislike), almond husk, and Bulgarian rose (one of my favorite roses.) The blood orange rind is just a whisper, lifting things up a little bit, and right now I'm not getting the cognac but this bottle is only a day out of the mailbox and I expect it to show up with a bit of settling. I love this blend and will almost certainly put it into regular rotation.

Pendulous blue wisteria, white peonies, ho wood, magnolia petals, plum juice, and red benzoin. This is a very strong, very 'present' floral with perhaps an undertone of benzoin. I don't smell the plum juice at all. There's a slightly spicy quality here as well as something that almost tips into sour territory, but not quite. Floral aficionados will probably enjoy this very much, as wisteria and peony are very distinctive. I prefer my florals with some musk or a resin that has a bit more presence than the benzoin has here. I will say that the drydown is very pretty, when my beloved magnolia makes more of an appearance. I will reach for this when in the mood for a distinctive non-rose floral, perhaps.

It's best to not think of this as a chocolate scent. It's dark, almost earthy, with a rich sweet core. To me it comes across as patchouli sweetened with honey, given depth by the chestnut, and a deep, dark cocoa swirling in and out. Perfect for resin lovers who are scared of anything too foody.

Leather and black tea with champa blossom, incense, ambrette seed, and black truffle accord. Blind tested on my left wrist. In Vitro Rich and resinous, and somehow reminiscent of Destructive Vagina of the Fox Spirit despite lacking the cola/incense note. Wet Still resinous, but joined by a floral note that came to predominate over the next six minutes. Drying Aw, crud. Plastic, although thankfully faint. After a half hour I was getting some sweetness again, but it's now an hour and fifteen minutes after application and what remains is unremarkable sweetness with a hint of plastic. I refuse to be discouraged because my other Shungas aren't at their best on my skin (nothing is!) and I have yet to test this on clothing or hair.

Lily of the Valley, star jasmine, benzoin, vanilla, plumeria, bergamot, Terebinth pine, juniper berry, and tea rose. I picked this up because I love all the florals + benzoin & vanilla. In the bottle, I smell bits of plumeria, bergamot, and something slightly foresty. On my skin, it is more foresty than floral, but after awhile it all settles (thank god!) into a well blended & smooth close to the skin floral scent. It reminds me of a wedding bouquet (and all the floral arrangements) + an outdoorsy wedding if that makes any sense. It echoes the poem perfectly! :clap:

Toe-shoe pink with an iridescent lilac sheen. Pretty and delicate! Totally appropriate for work or any other occasion. On the nail, this reads as a translucent, milky light pink. I was a bit disappointed that the beautiful blue/purple shimmer did not seem to translate onto the nail.

An enflamed fuchsia glitterbomb! Origin: Straight from the Post Initial Thoughts: I just grabbed all the Lupers. The prospect of a bright pink version of Pumpkin Spice Everything or Nuclear Winter was a no-brainer. In the Bottle: PINK! And GLITTER! One coat: Oh, that's rather pathetic. I had forgotten how the glitterbombs needed the layers. Two coats: Starting to get the sparkly going. This seems to be a bit smoother on the surface than the other glitterbomb Claw Polishes. Three coats: There we go. Pink and popping! Verdict: Sold and almost certainly sold again. I'm gonna need a backup bottle.

Labial pink with fine iridescent glitter. What a beautiful shade of pink! it's a nearly perfect bubblegum pink, and the teeny tiny holographic glitter is just right! The glitter is prevalent throughout but not overpowering, easily wearable anywhere!

Vulva-pink crème. A pretty, slightly neon, pink! This shade was a good bit brighter than in the bottle. It's happy and vibrant. I don't love pink, and don't have many pink polishes, so I feel like this fills a void in my polish collection.

A shocking hot pink glitter with opalescent purply glitter bits! Origin: Straight from the Post Initial Thoughts: I just grabbed all the Lupers. Hot pink glitter seemed fun. In the Bottle: Bright magenta-pink shot through with sparkle. One coat: Translucent pink with glitter scattered through it. Two coats: A little more pink and a little more glitter. Smooth enough not to need a top coat. Three Coats: Adds some oomph to the base color and more glitter sparkle. But I'm not getting quite as much of the purple as I hoped. Verdict: Maybe. Between Womb Furie and Bright Red Dildo I have plenty of glitter to go around. This is more like Eldritch Drunken Constellations with the polish base hanging onto a see-through impression. However, I admit I kept Eldritch Drunken Constellations in the end, so this one might have its forever home after all. ETA: One more note to add - this one may be prone to chipping/peeling. If there are base coats out there that help prevent peeling, this one could probably use the help. After I did my initial swatch, about a third of it came off in one strip (no base coat used). This morning I tried a base coat and a top coat with it and during dinner I noticed that I already had some serious chippage and one nail had lost a chunk of coverage. So, if you have any trusted products that help prevent such wear & tear, Sugarcane Me might need it.

An ejaculation of red glitter. Origin: Straight from the Post Initial Thoughts: I just grabbed all the Lupers. I may have wished for a red or pink version of Pumpkin Spice Everything and this was always going to go in my cart. In the Bottle: Devil-red shiny glitter. One coat: I'd forgotten how the base of a lot of the glitter polishes is pale, but this one is clear. So I got an uneven coat of red glitter. Two coats: That's a bit more like it. But still... Three coats: Now we're cooking! Sexy, sparkly, deep red glitter for everyone! Verdict: This is a bit smoother in texture than Pumpkin Spice Everything or Nuclear Winter, but I'd probably still want a top coat for super-smoothness and shine. But I love it and I will probably be getting more.
