    Mme. Moriarty, Misfortune Teller (2006)

In the bottle, this one's musky patchouli with a little powder. On my skin, omg! I am in total love!!! I keep sniffing my arm. This scent is rich and sexy and complex. It's deep from the patchouli and musk, but there's a luscious fruitier overtone. I feel exotic and sexy and mysterious. It's got great throw and a decent weartime. Later, it gets slightly powdery, but I don't mind a bit. Verdict: Orgasm in a bottle! I'm definitely picking up a bottle (or two) before Carnaval leaves town.

    The Candy Butcher 2006

In the bottle, this smells like yummy cocoa powder. On my skin, the first whiff was of creamy chocolate, and then... *cries* it smelled like nasty plastic. I was so disappointed! I was hoping my skin wouldn't do that. Later on, it mellowed to an incensey smell with chocolate/plastic notes. Poo. I was so hoping this one would work on me because I love foody smells. Verdict: Alas, I am another victim of the plastic. I can't wear this.

    La Belle Dame Sans Merci

In the bottle, this is a floral with something sharp. On my skin, SOAP! As someone else mentioned, it smells just like Ivory soap. I'm getting taken back to bathtimes at my grandparents' house when I was a kid. They only ever used Ivory, and then they only ever used Irish Spring. I missed the Ivory. Anyway, I'm liking the walk down memory lane, but this soapy smell isn't something I really want to wear as perfume. Later, the soap smell tones down significantly, slowly being overcome by a rosy rich floral. I like this smell. It's grownup without being old lady. Verdict: Not sure how much I'll wear it. I like the floral but I could do without the initial soap explosion.

    The Hesperides

In the imp, it smells so apple yummy! On my skin, it starts out pure apples - Red Delicious I'm thinking. This smells so fresh and awesome. I get a crisp, clear feeling. As the day wears on, a light woody note enters and puts the apple in the background. It's still a crisply sweet scent for me, but the wood grounds it a little more. The only problem I have is that this one has faded significantly by lunchtime after being applied right before work. Verdict: Crisp and fresh. I really enjoy this scent, even though it fades fast.

    Brisingamen

In the bottle, it was a rich watery floral (maybe the myrtle?) with a powdery undertone. A mature smell. On my skin, it went straight to perfumy powder, and it was strong. Unfortunately for me, this one has killer curveball throw. I didn't like it, but I figured I'd stick it out to see if the scent would change any. After hours and hours (I fell asleep with it on), it mellowed somewhat. The powdery component was less prominent but it was still not enough to redeem it. The rich floral note I smelled in the bottle never really came out on my skin. Verdict: Old lady perfume. I don't think I'll be trying this one again.

    Sugar Skull

Sugar Skull 2006 All I can say is "yum"! In the bottle, it smelled like maple syrup with a fainter white sugary note floating above it. On my skin it alternates quite a bit between 3 phases: Maple syrup and pancakes Brown sugar with some sort of strange (in a good way) more cologny undertone Candied fruit, sweet with that white sugar high note The weird part is that these phases really do alternate rather than settling into distinct time phases (wet, drydown, etc) and it's usually in a different phase depending on where on my body it's located. Very complex and sweet and yummy comforting.
