    WILF

This is musky root beer on me with a hint of chocolate - it reminds me of The Anti-Saloon League when I get the sweet rootbeer/foody note - and it also just falls into the general category of the red musk scents - like Snake Charmer, Smut, and Snake Oil - but much lighter of a scent. Basically, this is a musky scent that would be lovely to wear in the daytime.

    Candy Corn Coated Candy Apple

This is perfect for someone who is always on the fence about foody scents - or who doesn't typically like foody scents. Basically, when you put it on - it's just an absolute blast of tart green apple. In the wet stage, it's practically single note apple to me. I keep waiting for the bakery type feel that I usually get with foody scents - and it never comes which is good for me with the apple note (I don't like to smell like a candle or potpourri). As it dries, it's just apple with loads of sugar - the only foodiness comes in the form of just a warmth and deepening of the scent for me. This may actually be an apple scent that I can wear

Wad Of Chewed Up Strawberry Bubblegum

This is just pure bubblegum on me - I don't get strawberry at all. It's the standard "bubblegum" flavor that you can get in most brands of gum. I love bubblegum as a scent - so I had to start hunting this one down. Unfortunately, to be able to wear this - since it's very faint and fades quickly - you would need a bunch of imps (hehe) I'm going to save it for special occasions and then slather and not feel guilty!

    Bedbug

My pick-up angel is just that - an angel This is like Monster Bait: Underbed light to me - I get cardamom, cinnamon, and a creamy caramel type note -maybe a hint of ginger - it's very warm. I'm not picking up as much citrus as the other reviewers - maybe just a hint of orange here and there. It's much fainter than Underbed though and my skin just eats it up unfortunately - it's such a fun scent

    The Elephantine Colossus

Thank you to my pick up angel When it's wet, it's like whoa musk and incense on my skin - it does remind me of the slight nuttiness of Snake Oil for a few minutes in this stage. This really didn't go foodie on me - after it has settled in, I get a touch of salty popcorn and rootbeer (the musk just disappears). It's a drier rootbeer than I expected - I was hoping it would be all creamy and foodie - maybe my skin is fighting it, so I will re-test! Upon retest: I still get the root beer - it feels overall like a cola and foody blend with a layering of almost a ginger musk feel on my skin. It still doesn't scream red musk to me (except in the wet stage) - it must be the "pipeweed" that is fighting the musky part of the scent on my skin. If you go into trying the scent thinking interesting - a root beer scent with a sexy edge, you get much better results than if you go into wearing it hoping to get a scent in the "Snake Oil" family.

    Sibyl

I am so glad that I had an This is so beautiful in an almost aching way. It is definitely reminiscent of Dorian - but a delicate and more feminine version. At first, I could smell a lot of citrus - the mandarin - vanilla, and a floral that I couldn't decipher without looking at the description again (after I looked for rose - it slightly reminded me of the rose in Pink Snowballs before it blended into the other notes). Now, Sybil has gently settled into a warm vanilla tea - with just a hint of musk and with just a faint whiff of citrus here and there (almost a citrus-sugar). After a longer while, I do get just a touch of a bitter note - not unpleasant but just something to remind you that not all is sweet and nice. It is so well-blended and just utterly lovely.

    I'm already there! You're fast! (: Thanks!

    Tiki Princess

I this - seriously, I could wear this almost everyday. It's a creamy, cool, and frothy coconut blend. The cold note is very authentic - it almost reminds me of the smell of soft and fluffy snow when you first go outside in the morning after a snowfall and breathe in the air. It's a cousin of Snow White in my opinion but with more of a coconut feel versus almond - and much lighter. This is very delicate and pretty scent without being super floral; I haven't found a scent that I've liked this much in a long time. Adore!
  9. I adore Tiki Princess - and I didn't get to grab enough before it came down - are there any similar GC scents - most particular I'm looking for the snowy/icy/frothy note that's present in Tiki Princess.

    Ghoul Hooligan

Very very cinnamony! This almost made my stomach turn when I first put it on - it's that strong wet - so use sparingly. After the "in your face" cinnamon, I started to get a pastry-bakery note, and it basically started to remind me of the smells of Christmas - the cookies and baked goods but mostly gingerbread cookies right out of the oven. This just was too overwhelming for me unfortunately and just didn't work on my skin. Thankfully, there are gingerbread-type scents that I like so much better.

    Paper Kite

Thank you to Hillary for sending me a tester of this before it came down - I just adore her This is such a gentle and unoffending scent. The first thing I thought of when I applied it is that this reminds me of one of my very favorite blends - Monster Bait: Underbed - there is a spice in here that is very similar. This is a subtle foodie scent to me - fresh creamy coconut with a little of the Underbed spice (grin) I'm in love! The only bad thing is that it's going to be a slather scent. ::plots how to stock up on bottles::

    The Harp of Cnoc I'Chosgair

Golden is the word that immediately came to mind upon smelling this scent. This is a very soft and delicate scent. It's soft and a little powdery but not in a bad way - reminding me of a lighter version of scents like L'Estate and Leo 2007 (while not identical - just a similar feeling). This is very well-blended and balanced. The amber and the sandalwood are very noticeable to me and were easier to identify - the other notes don't "stand out" as much to me on their own to my nose but blend into just a wonderfully creamy, warm, and woody scent - just beautiful.

    Black Heart

This is super sweet on me! I'm having a very good "be able to actually pick up some notes with my faulty nose" day, so I quickly put this one on, because usually I can't smell this blend very well. It took me awhile to figure out what it reminded me of - but it goes "Candy Phoenix lite" on me - the plum is starting to blossom now and is rounding out this scent, but it's very sugary and fruity for a long time on my skin. I love how Black Heart is the sweeter one, then Black Lace gets a little deeper, and then Black Death is the "darkest" of the three. Very pretty, effervescent, girly, and pink!

    Mimosa scents?

Overprotective-Possessed Talking Doll has mimosa in it - but it's a bright, summery scent versus a "deeper" scent (and it's harder to find - it was one of the Inquisition scents from the Trading Post last year) - it has that bright mimosa feel to it though - and I'm sure you could find a decant or tester: A sweet and disquieting mix of mimosa and strawberry.

    Dorian v2

This is such a soft and delicate scent - it does stray pretty far from the released Dorian - which is much heavier on me. When I first applied it - it was all vanilla and lavendar - reminding me of Lilith Victoria, TKO, and Gladdener of all Hearts. Now that it has settled in, it is a soft creamy coconut tea - very pretty but very little throw unfortunately. This is one of the best coconut notes that I've ever found in a scent, and I wish it would throw like 1000 feet (hehe)

    Narkissos

I love this! I've already sought out a back-up bottle, and I hardly ever can afford to do that or am compelled to do that. I get a delicate light floral - with a hint of citrus - and then a headiness that is not overbearing - it actually reminds me of CC: Female and Haloes (only with orange instead of apricot). It's so creamy and pretty without being dated - Adore
  17. Black Temple Burlesque Troupe has amazing throw - I was waiting around while my roommate was changing my car's oil in the shop that he works in - and it was humid; I kept smelling something musky, slightly nutty, and just delicious and finally figured out that it was me (hehe) It was wafting all around me like a positively edible cloud. Others that I've noticed have a lot of throw and get the most attention because of their throw (some have already suggested these - just for what it's worth...grin): 13 (the original), Glowing Vulva, Eat Me, Now Winter Nights Enlarge, Snake Oil, and Cerberus.

    Meliai

When I first applied this wet and sniffed the bottle, I got a blast of soury fruit that I wasn't expecting. At first, I thought it was going to be a red or purple scent - but it's a morpher. It seems to have dried and relaxed into an unassuming floral and honey scent - very delicate and sophisticated with that touch of tart fruit fading into the background. It's slightly smoky - it's very pretty, but not something that I would reach for all the time.

This is amazing - I bought this bottle on a whim, and I am so glad that I did. I just wrote down a list of words, so that I would remember my review - and I think it works the best for this one: Smoky. Sensual. Musky. Spicy. Warm. Ashy. Earthy. and Nutty. A hint of something almost bittersweet (I'm guessing either the violet or berry note) peeks out here and there. This scent is very evocative of the passage upon which it is based.

    MVJHL Bake Sale v3

I don't get any bananas from this (but it could be my nose that doesn't quite smell correctly or fully) - I get a very warm foody scent - caramel, butterscotch, and pastry - almost like Underbed if you stripped away all of the cassia. I imagine this would have been very popular if it had been released - I imagine its namesake when I catch a whiff of it - just a mixture of cake and cookies on a table wrapped in colorful plastic wrap with little price stickers - and the heavenly smell that would have wafted around the entire table.

    Musk free scents?

Hi! You could try a scent locket that way your skin chemistry wouldn't alter the notes if you really like how some of the blends that you've tried smell in the bottle. Do you have any certain category of scents that you're drawn to - like fruity, floral, or foodie? I'd limited here, because I look for musk (hehe) - but, for what it's worth here is a variety of some that you may like that don't seem to go musky and some "dryer" vanilla blends: Tombstone (super dry cedary vanilla on me): A rugged, warm blend of vanilla, balsam and sassafras layered over Virginia cedar. Jailbait (just because it's a must try - I don't get even a hint of musk from it): Sticky pink bubblegum and the thick, sweet scent of orange and cherry lollipops smeared over a breath of heady womanly perfume. Absinthe: An intoxicating blend containing wormwood essence, light mints, cardamom, anise, hyssop, and the barest hint of lemon. Tempest: A crisp ozone-tinged breeze. The scent of the first gentle rain before the storm. House of Night (an unusual "green" scent that appeals to people that even don't typically reach for these types of scents): A sorrowful graveyard bouquet of somber blooms, funereal boughs, dismal green and laden with grief. Dirty: A fresh, crisp white linen scent: perfectly clean, perfectly breezy. Vice: A deep chocolate scent, with black cherry and orange blossom. Carnal: Bold, bright mandarin paired with the sweet, sensual earthiness of fig. Whip: Agony and ecstasy: black leather and damp red rose. Schrodinger's Cat: A paradoxical scent experiment! - tangerine, sugared lime, pink grapefruit, oakmoss, lavender, zdravetz, and chocolate peppermint. Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat: A sparkly, batty little scent: green tea, melon, mint, lime rind, and champagne grape with lemon balm, mullein, and toadflax. Eden: fig leaf, fig fruit, honeyed almond milk, toasted coconut and sandalwood. Obatala: milk, coconut meat, shea butter and cool, refreshing water. Pele: muguet and Hawaiian white ginger enveloped by warm, damp tropical blooms. Shango: red apples, banana, chili pepper, coconut, pineapple, pomegranate and sugar cane. The Antikythera Mechanism (this may go musky on you - but it's another "dryer" vanilla on me and worth a shot!) Teakwood, oak, black vanilla, and tobacco. There are tons, just tons, of Limited Edition scents that you may like - but if you like fruity scents (and need no musk) - I would definitely try the Tiki blends: Opuhi (another vanilla you may be able to do): Ginger blossom and vanilla orchid. (not part of the original Tiki release - but I just remembered this one!) Velvet Tiki: Gold-washed frangipani, vanilla flower, vanilla bean, coconut, hibiscus, papaya, pineapple, bouganvilla, passion fruit, and three orchids. Upa Upa: Spiced rum, coconut, pineapple, and vanilla. Screeching Parrot: Golden rum, apricot liquor, pineapple, pomegranate, ginger, brandy, grapefruit, and pink lime. Te Po: Jamaican rum, almond liquor, orange water, sugar syrup, lime peel, black cherry, vodka, and mint. Blue Fire: Papaya, blueberry, lemongrass, and gin. Rangoon Riptide: Pineapple, mandarin orange, raspberry, passion fruit, and rum. Golden Wave: Tangerine, gin, passion fruit, guava, and tonic. There are a ton more to recommend once everyone knows if you'd be open to trying metallic scents - ozone scents and such - because those are usually more dry and less musky. Good luck to you!

    Romanti.Goth

This one is such a morpher! The scent is incredibly strong when you first apply it - smoke, resins, and musk - it is a very dark scent. I kept thinking - Romanti.Goth? Huh. Hehe. As it sinks in, the plum finally comes out to play (it took about 30 minutes to an hour on me) - and the "darkness" smarts to smooth out - and it really is gorgeous - romantic in the pale skin and blood red lipstick way. The plum is so subtle and is amazingly well-blended - tart, at first - and then just rounding out to a very slight sweetness that uplifts the heavier notes. So sexy!

    Loli.Goth

Girly, feminine, and playful - totally evocative of its namesake. The most prominent notes on my skin are peach and a delicate musk note; the berry notes are here and there and just tickle my nose. This scent borders on the edge of a candy scent without going over to the candy side (come over to the dark side...we have candy...hehe). It's a very wearable scent

    Rivet.Goth

This one scared me at first - I was biting my nails, smelling only oil and metal, and listening to my roommate ask "What smells like pool water?" - and I couldn't figure out why everyone was going so crazy over it....and then it morphed It's that leather seats in a sports' car smell to me now right after they have been cleaned and rubbed with conditioner - it's a very soft, sexy, warm leather smell - with a subtle musk rounding everything out (with only a tiny whiff of a metallic note every once in awhile). Gorgeously unisex

    MB: Underbed v1

Whoa - even though I have trouble sniffing things now (hehe...err...not in that way) - this one is all in your face cinnamon! It actually felt like it burned my nose a little when I first sniffied too close to where I had tested it. As opposed to the original Underbed which is a buttery foody type of scent warmed with spices, this is less foody to me - a "dryer" and more subtle blend of vanilla and very strong spices. I do not get the coconutty vibe from this one either, so if that killed the original for you - this one may be a winner. It's still nice, but the released version wins hands-down
