    Stardust

This is for Stardust 2006.... It starts out almost metallic and sharp on my skin, like the chamicals in nail polish remover or hairspray. I didn't mind it though; it was interesting and surprising because of the deepness and softness floating in the background. After a few minutes that edge faded into something like a strong floral perfume with a lot of musk. Happily, I can detect the ylang ylang, which I adore! It is really beautiful in this. I wish I could describe this better! But....There is a really nice sparkling quality above all the deepness and heaviness of the perfume. This is a very different fragrance from those I usually like to wear but it smells fantastic on me and I am hording mine because I only bought one bottle.

    The Temptation

I received a full size of this as a gift from my mom...she picked it out herself hoping that I would like it. It's sweet w/o being cloying or foody sweet. More like the natural sweet of fruit...perhaps because of the peach in it. Wet this smells very strongly of just cut roses, and very very strongly of peach. Fresh and natural and wholesome. After drying down for a bit the rose and peach are tempered by the musk, and the starchiness of the rice flower. Or at least "starchy" is what comes to mind so I assume that it's the rice flower that I am smelling. This feels natural, fresh, youthful, and very innocent to me. This is a sure favorite, probably because that peach is so identifiable as true peach on me. It reminds me of something I'd wear on a sunny day, even though I am wearing it a lot now in the cold weather. Love it!

    Ode on Melancholy

I bought a full bottle of this unsniffed because I liked the description so much. It did not disappoint! This smells dreamy and pale and beautiful. It reminds me of thick San Francisco fogs for some reason, which is great because that's one of my favorite aspects of San Francisco. Wet it smells most strongly of lavender with just a touch of rose. Very pretty! After drying slightly I can detect more of the musk and sandlewood, which deepens this into something that is just intoxicating to me. The lavender is still there too, but it's very soft and light. This fades away on me fairly quickly (after a couple hours) so I tote around my little bottle to reapply throughout the day. I don't mind though since I like to smell it straight from the bottle as well. I love it.

    The Pool of Tears

I really love florals and liked the idea of an aquatic/floral mix. I cannot believe that this can actually smell like tears (or how I think tears smell like), but it really does. It's so watery and sheer and I love the light florals in the background. To me they smell like little white flowers or something equally light and fresh. This feels very delicate and fragile and I adore it. Plus I feel like I can wear lots of it because it's so light on me. I only have an imp so far but this will be the next full size bottle I purchase.

    Marie

This is my first post, so I thought I would review the very first fragrance I ever purchased from BPAL... This was in the first pack of imps I purchased two months ago and I bought a full size after wearing if for only a day. I have never tried a violet fragrance before, but I love roses. This is the perfect blend of both on me, with the violet being slightly stronger than the rose. So completely feminine without being stuffy or prim. I am an extremely shy person and I always feel more confident and alluring when I wear this. Even after several hours Marie still smells exactly as it does when wet on my skin. If anything it only becomes better. I am in love with this one!
