    Halôa

2006 version. I always wanted to order this but I'm not really a foody gal. Boy am I glad I got my hands on some because I haven't fallen in love with a blend in a while. It starts off as rich spices with a fruit undertone and just an instant whiff of vinegar. It dries down to rich mulled wine (where the wine note is very subtle) and Beaver Moon's cheesecake. Myrrh and I go together so well it should be illegal.

Satan And Death With Sin Intervening

This is very comforting. It's a sweet resiny scent. I smell the benzoin foremost. There is a tea-like quality to this without actually being able to smell the tea note. I also get the cola scent I also find in Antonino. I'm assuming it's a vetiver aspect since both blends have it. It's a wonderful vetiver, one that I actually love (I HATE most forms of the stuff, but this one is light and creamy). I'm sort of reminds me of a grown up citronella candle...but so much better.

    Silence

Wow this is beautiful! It reminds me strongly of Black Moon (the lotus and blue musk) but I like this even better. It's dusty yet creamy florals. The sandalwood and musk are a nice backdrop to the rich lotus and plum blossom. That extra "hmmm" note that makes this whole ting pop is the mint, which goes soooo well with the musk. I love this scent.

    Tweedledum

This starts out as a green tea and fig scent with a subtle but really inviting patchouli. It's a clean and woody patchouli, no dirty hippy here. This one has more depth that it's twin. It does have a similar citrus tang (which reminds me of Hungry Ghost Moon's sugary grapefruit) as Tweedledee but the green tea helps it stay a little grounded and dusty. Now dry, it sort of has a pencil shavings scent which for a while was all I could smell. Now I can happily smell everything again which is good! Overall, I like this one the best of the pair but they do smell really lovely together.

    Tweedledee

Initially this was really citrus and tart with a cookie backdrop. It reminded me of lemon tea cookies. It almost smells too young for me. It also has a creamy plastic quality in the drydown that reminds me of strawberry shortcake dolls. I do, however, love it when combined with its twin...such a good combo.

    Midnight Kiss

This is definitely a red musk blend in the same vein as Scherezade and Hollywood Babylon. It's sweet, but the amber and dusty cocoa/sandalwood ground it somewhat. I think I detect some dragon's blood but sometimes I get that in red musk blends for some reason. I can tell where people mention cherry but it doesn't smell like it to me. Overall, this is a really nice blend but it's not unique enough for me.

    London

This is as close to a Rose Red clone as I've found. It's lighter and less green but it's definitely a watery, sweet, livid rose. There's a slight pencil shaving undertone but it's slight. I love rose on its own and here it is lovely.

    The Isles of Demons

Initially, this is like lemon cleanser with a soapy undertone. I did not like this phase much and was set to write it off...but I was wrong! It dries down to sweet, wet florals, musk, and an ashy undertone. It does smell interesting and the lemon bite is all but absorbed into the florals. It's surprisingly creamy and fluffy despite the angry notes. After this has been on for several hours, it has dried down to what I think is champaca.

    Pirate Moon

Wow, this one is weird...and unique! It manages to smell both masculine and feminine without being gender neutral is that makes any sense . Straight on this is totally bitter lime rind but this only lasts maybe 3 seconds. I honestly don't know what I am smelling here but it is compelling. This is rich, salty, with a touch of citrus and woods that I have never smelled before. I almost get a juicy fruit gum smell in the background which is so nice! I'm seriously at a loss for words. I've been here a long time and have gotten pretty good at detecting notes, but the ones in this blend are so unique and rich. I was hesitant after my first whiff, but I'm convinced...this blend is awesome and should have something for everyone (except the foodies).

    Scorpio 2007

Interesting. The wormwood and dbr combo are giving off an anise or dr pepper vibe in the first stage. Once that settles down I smell the dbr most, followed by the wormwood and resins. The dark musk is not at all overpowering here but it is very present...it's almost fuzzy. I do smell the basil way in the back but you'd have to know to look for it. After a while this turns into a musky, dry, herby scent. As a scorpio I am excited to add this to my other original bottle. They are both different but similar in feel which is nice. It isn't mind-blowing but it is a nice, warm, comforting scent. I wanted to add that as I sniff as it fades it smells much more similar to the original.

    Virgo 2007

I didn't buy this at 1st but the thought of the scent plagued me and so I snagged one after the fact. I am drawn to veggies scents for some reason. This one reminds me a bit of this year's Cancer sans the watery bit. It's leafy green and just a touch sweet. It smells so nice. I do get the carrot seed a lot in this blend and it makes it incredibly unique. I never imagined Virgo to be completely wearable but it is. It dried down to a nice, subtle, sweetly veggie/earthy blend that is so soothing and comforting.

What do bottles and labels look like?

I don't have a pic of Beatrice but my label is of a black and white garden that looks a little creepy with "Beatrice" in pink letters in the top-left corner of the label.

    All Souls

2007 version. I had always wanted to try this since it first came out. I decided I was going to take the plunge this year should it come back. I am immediately reminded of a less refined Midnight Mass. It's resiny incense is very similar. Add on sharp currant, an almost vetiver quality, and some dry biscotti and you get All Souls. It's resiny sweet but not at all comforting. It's sharp and a little aggressive to my nose. While it smells nice, I'm not too sure about it yet.

    Hunter Moon 2007

YUM! I got the first Hunter Moon when I was still a whee newbie and thus my nose was quite unsophisticated and I hated it with a fiery passion. My recollection was it smelled like rotting leaves. I so wanted to love it for the picture its description left in my mind, but alas, I did not. I decided to try this latest incarnation in the hopes that I had become enough of a nose to fully appreciate Hunter Moon. To me this new one smells entirely different than the original but I don't really trust my memory. I do, however, get a lot of comparisons to Buck Moon's fuzzy light musk. This blend is fuzzy musk, a little sharp woods (high in the nose, I hope they age and mellow out), and just a tinge of fruity sweetness. If that's the wine it's a meady, berry, juicy wine. Overall, this is a rather subtle scent but with that tinge of sharpness. It manages to smell both feral and playful, sweet and masculine. It's wonderful and I can't wait for colder weather as I think this blend will really come into its own then. I'm glad I took a chance with this one!

    Crypt Queen

Whoa is this red in feeling! It is STRONG too. I put my normal amount on and I had to wash some off because it was giving us a headache. A first this is a sharp, biting red fruit...mostly raspberry with the pomegranate following. Then the patchouli kicks in and it is definitely a dirty variety. It and the pepper make this blend spicey and dusty. Once dry the rose and plum come out. The plum and musk are seriously what's saving this blend from turning "red candy dropped by a 2 year old into the playground dirt" and making it a little more sophisticated. It's a lot more sharp than I was expecting. I don't know if aging will help. It definitely smells nice, but maybe a lighter hand is required.

How to make a paypal order.

I suspect that you could put the US addy in the comments field of your order with a brief explanation.

    Singing Moon

Wow, putting this on was a bit mossy-herbal, even for me. But this phase only lasted about a minute. I am very much reminded of one of my first bpal loves, Ulalume. That moss and watery floral aspect is definitely there, but this is more upright, cheery, and sophisticated. I was a little worried about the aquatic and air references in the description as neither of those things work for me. I am happy to note that the scent manages to be really airy without emitting harsh ozone notes. It smells like perfume blowing in the wind. The burning fire aspect is subtle, more like a memory carried over the wind and is not harsh at all. This is green, creamy, mossy, and sweet...delightful. I wanted to mention after reading the dirt comments that it definitely has the same dirt note the Queen of Clubs has and does remind me of it in feel, sans the berry quality.

    The Emathides

I was so excited to see this waiting for me when I got home today! I initially put on just a dab and could not get over how weak the smell was considering the notes. However, I did a proper slather later on and was so pleasantly surprised. Sometimes black amber can go too harsh on my skin but somehow it doesn't this time while also maintaining its darker bite. I smell a little lavender in here but it's really purple and lush with the blue musk and orchid (which is not bubble gummy). I think the most interesting note I smell is the olive blossom. It's like bitter olive and sweet flowers all in one. I get very little rose. The cedar only lends a woody undertone and the black currant takes the roundedness of the blend over the top. I have to say, this is so well blended. No note screams louder than the rest, which is a feat on my skin since this has so many of the those attention-seeking notes. I really can't stop sniffing myself. It's creamy, woody, slightly sweet with a touch of silky blooms...but all in a subdued and subtle way.

    Vegan Oils

The lab is always so very helpful for things like this. You might just email them yourself and see what they say if nothing here helps completely. I have noticed, though, that those notes that can be problematic for people (allergies, veganism, etc.) are often explicitly stated. I have no way of backing that up though so it's always better to check! There have been discussions about this before. And I found it here

    Privilege

People who like Stardust will likely like this. I smell a lot of oakmoss and it's lending a woody, earthy, mossy feel to the blend and creates a bitter edge against the sharp florals and citrus. I smell the rose absolute as the top floral but somehow it doesn't smell rosey to me unless I define it that way when I sniff it. There's a bunch of tiare in here as well. Really, if I tried, I can smell almost each component but when sniffing as a whole, they all blend together well. It's funny, when I first put this on I thought of hairspray and cigarette butts...but in a good way, the same way Stardust is fantastic.

    Calico Jack

Whoah, this is a ton sweeter than I would have expected. I am immediately blasted with salty air and water and sweet, sweet spices. It mellows pretty quickly once the oil sinks it but it's still really salty and sweet. I can sense the musk far in the background as well as the leather (which is crazy since I amp leather usually) grounded by th waterlogged wood. This is a nice scent but a little more feminine than I imagined and a little too sweet for my liking.

    Lysander

Lysander is not all at how I imagined. It's almost caramel-y and reminds me of Red Lantern with a more mild musk. I figure I get the tonka the most followed by the benzoin and lime. The blackberry leaf and lime are giving this a bitter edge. I can't detect the wood violet but then again I don't know what it smells like, lol. Strangely foody and slightly bitter. ADDITION: I thought that I didn't give this one enough credit so I put another thick layer on, went out into the heat of the day and immediately decided it smelled like sweet lighter fluid...weird...

    Blue Moon 2007

Sniff...I don't think this works for me It smells quite a bit different than the 1st release. Blue Moon is very very faint initially on. There's not much there at first but it smells like watered down juniper and aloe. I don't get much cucumber from this. After about 10 mins I get a sour cat pee note I get from some scents. It smells just rancid on me...just as the other notes were starting to come out. Sans the bad note I think this would be nice, but sadly my chemistry doesn't like part of this blend.

    Cancer 2007

Mmm, I don't consciously know a Cancer but lettuce had me signed up regardless!! Cancer is wonderful! It's green and sweet. I smell a crisp, slightly spicy lettuce (the orris may be lending the spice but it's really mellow), mellow pear and sweet pea. This is juicy and floral and so very feminine and delicate. It's a wonderful green floral for summer.

    CCNow Questions & Problems

Yes they will get your order. It's discouraged because paypal and ccnow both take out cuts so the lab gets less of their money.
