    Eros

Out of the imp, this smells quite similar to an herbal essences shampoo. Hehe, which is really strange to me, cause I didnt notice when I first smelled it days ago, but now that I'm sniffing it, it totally smells like the classic HH shampoo. Weird. Anyhow, I am writing this long after wearing it, and unfortunately I'm not loving the dry down. I seem to amp the tea leaf and honey wine.. but in an oddly musky and astringent way. This did start as a nice bright fresh fruity scent, with some interesting crisp liquid honey sweetness and a touch of resin, but ultimately turned to yerbe mate musk. Probly not bad for some, but not great for me.

    Alice

Well, I initially tried this thinking Alice was carnation, milk, and honey, and although, those are the prominent notes, I get just enough rose to turn this into a pass for me. I still think this is a nice scent, and can see why its so popular.. just a bit too much rose for me. Now, like six hours later, there's a nice slightly sweet carnation musk left on my skin, which is really amazing, but not worth the rose-induced sneezing fit that accompanies its wet stages. Actually, I'm really surprised I'm still getting carnation, as opposed to rose. Anyhow, its nice but ultimately a no-go for me.

    CD: Alley of Games v6

Wet, I LOVE this scent! It is a very interesting combo of fine incense, sweet-grass, a tinge of water (like others said, not fully aquatic, but a wetness) and some cotton candy sandalwood. It really is amazing! As it drys down though, I seem to be amping a lot of the sweet grass, which is unfortunately my least favorite part. I do notice though, throughout the day I will get an arrant whaft of incens-y cotton candy, and then again later a sweet-grass incense, and then later still a watery incense. lol. So apparently the incense just makes the rounds on my skin. Overall it is a very interesting blend... But when I dont amp the sweet grass, its a drop dead amazing blend, that is not like anything else I have ever smelled, and smells soo good! Needless to say, I'm keeping my bottles.

    What Scent Is This?

First thing that came to mind was Diwali, but I dont believe that was a GC. It is a lab imp your talking about right, and not a decant? The only impable GC, that I can think of, that starts with D and may be even barely close would be the dodo (Red musk, lemon peel, sugar cane, cassia, white sandalwood, mango, and agarwood. ) I know that doesnt sound especially like it, but perhaps the RM+cassia+mango= a berry-ish smell + lemon = a crisp raspberry/currant smell? Then sugarcane= vanilla ? Hehe, long shot, but just in case

    Body, Remember

I LOVED this blend for the first 10 minutes. It was a delicious creamy coconut, that was very round, and not too coconut-y or beachy.. just soft and tantalizing. But then the ambergris did overwhelm the scent as it dried down. Now I'm just left with a slight powder-ish sweet muskiness. I'd imagine a lot of people would like this, and its not even terrible imo, but it just pales so much in comparison to the blend when it had more of the coconut going for it.

    Ecstatic Revelry

This is a very dark tar. Patchouli and cumin are also strong players here, with only the tiniest of drizzles of the honey and amber. Way too dark for this guy, but if you like vetiver or black patchouli, this could definitely be up your alley.

    Following Instructions

Yet again I agree with Invidiana, and would add that it leans a bit towards a gingerbread scent. It is warm and yet has a cool fresh tinge to it as well, probably from my association with hops being in cool crisp beer. Overall it is a really interesting blend that is not cloying or offensive at all. A warm, yet cool gourmand.

    Gathering Wild Mushrooms

I agree with Herb Girl. This is not Hay moon.. and not even like the hay from Brood. This smells almost completely like a mixture of mushrooms and carrot seed. I do get the hiba wood and rooty/dirty mushrooms and ginger, but the overall scent is of carrot seed. A very herbal and dirty blend with a touch of that gensing/ginger fresh heat.

    Lady in Speckled Pink Kimono

This smells of blindingly bright sweet powdered sugar sweet tarts to me. Like snorting pixie sticks. I think this is just my personal reaction to peony, and would probly be the only thing I could smell no matter what else it was blended with. Probably not very helpful, but just in case there is anyone else out there with a similar sensitivity as me, thats what I got out of it.

    Variety of Pleasing Amusements

This is a perfect blend of honey and tobacco. It is just a bit too musky for my personal tastes. I do think its the perfect amount of musky honey for what the blend is based on, but for me its a bit too much. This has a bit of a polished wood smell as well, thats not off-putting, but just isnt quite right for me.

    The Hell of Great Heat

Warm cinnamon-y red musk with an equal punch of patchouli. Oakmoss in this feels a little wonky for some reason, and I think is whats keeping this from being a bottle purchase for me. Warm dark and interesting otherwise.

    Entangled

This has a very earthy helichrysm/chamomile smell. its nice.. kindof, but a bit too earthy/pungent for me. I think it might be the ginger cream that is making me think chamomile.. but yeah, its just too warm herbal.

    Street Festival

What I'm getting with my chemistry is a mix of lavender (being most prominent) black currant, and lemon balm. It does have a decent amount of sweetness, but I agree with Invidiana, that a bit more of the vanilla/benzoin/or plum honey would have been great. This is still a very nice blend, and even though the main note I get is lavender, I do still get occasional whafts of exotic fruits. May be bottle worthy.. I still need to think on this one.

    Snowy Mountains and Kingfisher

Definitely full of ozone, and a touch of powdery amber. The honeysuckle is also very noticeable, but doesnt stand out... its very weird for me to try and explain what I get from it. This does remind me of one of the Frankenstein blends, but I cant remember which one atm. I think it was a torrent of light. I'v noticed theres a lot of similar blends following through into this update. I wonder if there was tons of ozones and snow notes left or something

    Medical Procedure

I was looking forward to this a lot because I love dragonsblood, sandalwood, and linen.. but this wound up being a bit too heavy on the tobacco flower, and mixed with the dragonsblood to turn into a rum/cologne/aftershave smell. No good for me.

    Before the Snowy Window

This blend reminds me a lot of Ondurdis. A bit of sweet fruit burried under a ton of bpal snow. After a couple minutes the cherry blossom does open up a bit, and you can finally smell a bit of fruity musk. I dont dislike this, but it did seem that even after hours in, the snow note was still more prominent than anything else. I have one decant left of this, and that will probly be all I'll need.

    Mischievous Spirit

Well, I think I'm finding a scent twin.. I seem to be agreeing with Invidiana quite a bit, and this scent is no different. I get mainly cranberry, with red musk (no vegetables to be found). I do get a slight flowery peach scent and agree that there is an effervescent or sparkling quality to the scent, I think its getting it from the bergamot though. I also do get a bit of an amber base, that is very very low key. Unfortunately no coconut to be found from my nose. But I do enjoy the scent. I think it would make a nice room spray.

Geisha in Orange Kimono Admiring a Samurai

First impression are of King Mandarin and Tangerine. A very nice combination. However, I then get a lot of green coming through. Like big oily thick green notes. I know it lists tuberose, and others are getting that, but to me it smells more like jasmine. A very pungent jasmine/neroli combo. Then the whole scent seems to turn into neroli, and then I had to wash my arm, cause I was getting a sore throat. :C The label was cool though

    Sumai No Sechie

If I were to describe this fragrance in two notes, it would be Muguet and YlangYlang. That said, you really can smell every note in here if you look for it. As Invidiana said, you def get the pink grapefruit on first application, but after a innitial application it settles down quite a bit. I would say this would be a good introductory perfume for people to get into "green" scents. Its got enough floral with the ylangylang to stand up to the muguet, and the ambergris, ginger, and fig do balance the fragrance just enough so its not too GREEN. A really nice belnd.

    Playful Wooden Mallets

I'm glad I'm not totally crazy I totally agree with Invidiana. The cinnamon totally leans towards a red musk. It's not like a "whoa this is red musk" but like *sniff* ..*sniff sniff* hmm??... *huff* ... is that red musk? ... *HUUUFF* yup, thats a drop of red musk in there. lol. This really is a nice blend. The black musk is not scary at all.. and actually the whole thing comes off very .. um, crumbly? lol, not powdery, but definitely not liquidy either. Its kind of like a black musk version of a pie dough. Its crumbly, but if you work it a bit, it will meld together into a dough. Lol, hows that for an off the wall review

    An Omen of Good Fortune

Whoa black tea! This is a very strong black tea, like, walking into a drying house while the workers are aerating the drying leaves. Its quite pungent and bitter, and after a couple good huffs (to try and find the other notes) I can feel the astringency down the back of my throat, as if I was drinking a strong cup. After a bit of a drydown I do get the anise, and a slight licorice quality, but overall this really is a true black tea scent. I'm kindof not sure if I really love this, or if I just want to really love this. I may have to buy a bottle just in case. ETA: I do have to add, at the first couple of sniffs, it does come off rather earthy, and slightly of a dark DARK patchouli. Once you put it on, it turns very noticeably to black tea. But that first second, or if you were to smell it from the cap, it has that black patch smell.

    Calligraphy Practise

From this, I definitely get the clary sage and a green sweet resinous scent. After about 5 minutes the beeswax muskiness comes forward a bit, but is not overly strong. Overall this stays a round and resinously-sweet clary sage perfume, with only the background changing from a green note to a beeswax base. This smells nice, but is still not quite a winner for me.

    Kagema

As with Narrow Opening, I was a bit worried with the rum note, cause they almost never work on me, and just remind me of old man aftershave. Unlike Narrow Opening however, this is amazingly blended so that I still smell the rum and tobacco, but it in no way resembles old man aftershave. Its still not quite a must have, just a bit too herbal and a bit too much tobacco. But it really is a nice blend, and if I didnt already have 100's of bottles, I would probly be purchasing one of Kagema. I think the teak orange and thyme add a very nice round sweetness, so although I said it was a bit too herbal and smokey, this still is nicely balanced, and probably sweet enough for most people.

    Blossoms in Springtime

Glowing Vulva Bath Oil in perfume form. I swear this is near identical. Not so much like GV perfume, but spot on the BO scent. Sweet amber, honey beeswax, lotus. Its amazing! I think they should have named it Blossoming Vulva though... then it would be perfect

    Blooming Rose

This is a nice rose for people that dont normally like rose scents. On me, this came across as very creamy, and yet still fresh. I definitely get the rice flower and slightly powdery honey, maybe both of those as much as the pink rose. I agree with Gateau, this is not soapy at all. Its very reminiscent of pink snowballs imo. Not quite as chilly, but still a sweet creamy soft rose.
