The Golden Apple Of The Sun

This was very light on me, mainly faint apples with a little floral in the background. After about fifteen minutes, it turned to laundry soap on me.... and then after an hour, it was gone. <sigh> I had such hopes! I even tried twice, just to make sure. The same exact thing, the same exact timeline. I'm glad this is off to a more loving home!

    Queen of Sheba

This starts out lovely - spiced, honeyed almonds. And then, as soon as it dries - SOAP. Very strongly scented soap. It smells familiar, though, like a soap my grandmother used, I think? But straigh up soap. I had to wash it off.

Foodie Smells lover and a Halloween question.

You have made a giood choice with Eat Me! It wasn't a huge favorite for me when it was brand new.... but I let my bottle age a bit and it is awesome! Also, check out Drink Me from the same collection. More lovey foody scents in the general catalog are Shub-Niggurath (evil gingerbread cookies is the consensus, and I agree!), How Doth the Little Crocodile smells like peppermint patties, Bliss is straight up chocolate, Halfling in the RPG line smells of oatmeal cookies, and Vice is mostly chocolate orange. And really, you are getting into bpal at the PERFECT time for foodie scents - the Halloween scents should be up in a week or so - and that is a foodie lovers paradise!!!!!!!!

BPAL Patchouli - there's nothing else like it

Goblin is wonderful patchouli! Also Mme. Moriarty from the Carnival has a great patchouli, but really in the general catalog (i.e., impable) - Goblin is my favorite! Reviews are here. ETA; my other favorite is Banshee Beat, discontinued but you can still find it on the sale pages!

Looking Glass, Looking Glass Bath Oil

This is stunning and beautiful. I get mostly rich velvety red rose, with some sandalwood and mandarin softening it. And it is just the rose, no stems or greenery that I can tell. I really don't get any other notes, only the sandalwood and mandarin - which somehow just enhance the rose instead of standing out as notes. Lovely and subtle, not an overwhelming fragrance, but potent. Very elegant and feminine. I love Looking Glass, Looking Glass, and I am so happy that I have some! It is the best rose scent I have ever tried on my skin, and I am sad that there won't be more ....... I understand why, but it still makes me sad!

    Incensy Florals

The Witch Queen from Neil Gaiman's Stardust is a lovely floral/incense blend, although I do get a lot of fruitiness from it as well: Unfortunately it's un-impable, but I do see decants for sale pretty frequently.

    Knockout Drops

In the bottle, lemon and mint with a little vanilla in the background - definitely the bourbon vanilla, I can see the "mojito with lemon" comparison. On, the mint and lemon sort of duel for dominance, they blend very well, but as I sniff I think "lemon!" "no, mint!" The vanilla is still there in the background, adding a soft sweetness, but this isn't a vanilla dominant scent - at least, not yet - this review is right out of the mailbox. I think that sometimes vanilla scents especially need a little while to "rest" before the vanilla holds its own against the other notes. So far, the vanilla reminds me of Celeste, I am getting the feeling of a lemon and mint Celeste from this. I am hoping the vanilla comes forward a little more with time, as it did with Celeste......

    Thunder and Blazes

MUD. Wet, in the bottle and on my skin, I get mud with something sweet. As it begins to dry, the leather starts peeking out, and I think the sweetness is crushed grass - it smells similar to a freshly mowed lawn type of grass. But that gritty mud is still there, and it really smells gritty and like dirt on a wet stone to me. As it dries, it gets sweeter from the leather and grass, and the mud is receding into the background. No lemon drops yet. Unless that is some of the sweetness in the background? Maybe. This is fresh out of the mailbox, though. If things change, I'll come back and edit! ETA: A couple of hours later, soft sweet leather. The stoney/mud/dirt note has vanished. And I do get a hint of lemon around the edges, just a little. Lemony leather, yay! Also, I remembered what the dirt note reminded me of - Dungeon Crawl.

    Bones Trombone

In the bottle, I get lemon meringue pie and a touch of green tartness from the hemlock.... when it first hits my skin that is exactly what I get. Then, as it dries, the green recedes and it is yummy lemon meringue pie. It is so pie-like my mouth waters.......This is the kind of pie my mom made when I was a kid, with fresh lemon juice in the homemade pie filling, very tart but sugary at the same time, and homemade meringue broiled in the oven. I also get a little marshmallow type sweetness, but I'm not finding any blueberry (yet). This is a delicious scent, right out of the mailbox! ETA: A couple of hours later, blueberry marshmallow it is! But still mixed with the lemon meringue pie. I love this.
  10. Some of my favorites: (Seconding lots of other opinions, really!) El Dia de Los Reyes: one of my favorites, spicy chocolate yum. Just warm and delicious and smells like you would want to eat it. Bliss: simply milk chocolate, as others have said, you can layer it easily. Boomslang: yum. Very chocolatey Snake Oil, gets more chocolatey the more aged it is. How Doth the Little Crocodile: Chocolate Peppermint, with a little bit of wood in the background. Vice: on me, orange blossom and chocolate. Light and very much a comfort scent for me. ETA: I can't forget Wulric the Wolfman! Chocolate Lavender, and just gorgeous.
  11. March 21 What three things are you craving right now? paper goods, anyone need? including resume paper, and formal stationery as well as casual cards. I think I'm probably good on these right now. I do like sending notecards, though - I usually include a note in my swaps thanking the person. What is a scent that you've been trying to find even a sample of for a very long time to no avail? (What bottle would you die to get your hands on - even a partial?) Hmmm.... I don't want to even try some of the so rares, I would fall in love, be scared to wear it because it would run out, and then it would be gone and I would be sad. That said. STORYVILLE. I have sniffed, and it is ah-maze-ing. Is there anything in your life that you'd like advice or a "selfhelp" book for?: (ie finances, eating healthier, meal planning) Vegetarian/vegan cooking, paganism/wicca, and knitting! March 19 If your Witch lived near you, would you be happy or creeped out to get a "coupon" for a service like cleaning help or babysitting or dogwalking or coffee out with your Witch or something like that? Would you be creeped out if a local minion personally delivered a package to your house from a far-away Witch? I think this would be fun, I would love to meet for coffee or something! I don't want anybody to see my messy house until I get it cleaned, though! Let's say I have a pair of something you collect, would you like one of them and we have matching things? I think this would be very very cool. March 18 Do you like poetry? Yes, but it's more hit or miss with me - I have poems I like rather than a whole author's work. The Desiderata is a favorite, and I keep wanting a printout of it to frame. What types of scents do you like to scent your home? Which do you totally avoid? I like foody scents for my home as well - baked goods, spicier in the winter and fruitier in the summer. Pies, cookies, things like that. I don't think there are any I completely avoid. What are your thoughts on comics? Any you like? Any you have been wanting to try? Favorite characters? I don' t really read comics. How do you feel about nail polish? What colors do you like? Sparkles? I am stocked up, and get it at wholesale. Household/kitchen goods/gadgets? I like gadgets! But I think I am pretty stocked up at the moment. I can always use measuring spoons and cups though. I saw a ceramic set of measuring cups years ago that were stored in the shape of a bee hive, with the 1 cup on the bottom and getting smaller as it went up - the bees outside the hive were the handles. I still regret not buying that. Ok geek check - what sort of geeky things do you do? Do you read comics/graphic novels? Are you obsessed with something (a TV show maybe?) Do you work in a geeky field? Do you play rpgs like Dungeons and Dragons? Would you like gifts related to any of these? Uh, Dr Who is about as geeky as I get. I miss 10. Do you have a favorite fabric? If someone were to make you a fabric item, would you prefer it be out of any fabric? e.g. velvet, satin, silk, cotton, bamboo??? Would this change if it were an article of clothing vs. a bag/pillow/blanket/somethingelse If someone were to make me an article of clothing right now, I have been looking at maxi skirts, with an elastic waist, in a heavy silk or silky fabric. Some of them look like a dress (or they are a dress, some of them!) that was bought vintage and the top cut off. My favorites have a paper bag waist and are so cute! In bright summery colors. Again, I will find links if you are interested. For scarves, etc., silky soft fabric is nice - bamboo feels lovely. I like things with a nice slip. Anything with the Worm Moon update that you're already lusting after? ENLIGHTENMENT OF THE COURTESAN JIGOKUDAYU MINAMOTO NO YORIMITSU CUTS AT THE EARTH SPIDER March 17 Would you want an invite to a site that is invite-only ex. Diaspora, Demonoid, etc. If so, what? I am not sure what those are, but if my Witch thinks I would be interested, ok. I belong to some invitation only shopping sites! Pillows? What size/designs/colors would most interest you? Shades of blue or pink for the living room, lavenders for the bedroom. Lavender scented would be lovely too - like an eye pillow! purses? bags? What style/colors? I carry a very large black purse. Tote bag sized, seriously. I am always looking for little bags (like I said in my ?aire,), like pencil bags or something. To sort things into. Also I would love a big clutch - the ones I have seen on the blogs look almost like giant zippered pencil bags in bright gorgeous colors like red and cobalt and sunny yellow - the size of big bank bags, I will find a link. If you are interested. Decorative scarves for hair and/or creative accessorizing? What colors? Oh yes! I like any colors, really. They all look good against black. Purples, sagey or minty greens, cobalt or misty blues, pinks - and grays and taupes and gray/blue/violet and all kinds of colors. Would you like anything from Starring Fragrances. They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs)? I've never tried anything from them, but I am always up for trying new companies! Especially if they have a wonderful vanilla. March 16 For those who like lipgloss, lipstick, tinted balms, etc, what colors do you wear (and warm? cool?) and do you prefer something sheer or more opaque? How do you feel about shimmer? I like sheer colors in all kinds of colors. The Burt's Bees new tinted lipbalm is nice for every day, and Lipstick Queen's Medieval is one of my favorites. I also love a bright red lipstick, and am always looking for the nice everyday color. That wouldn't have to be sheer. Are there any fancy/gourmet/special herbs or spices that you'd love to receive? ie: good quality vanilla or other extracts, vanilla beans, saffron, lavender, etc. Good quality vanilla would be lovely! I also have thoughts of making lavender sachets for my sheets and drawers (but haven't gotten around to it) What's your favorite animal? Or is there one that's particularly significant to you? I guess mostly mine - small fluffy dogs. Small fluffy bunnies. I like dogs, rabbits, owls, and horses. If you were able to get a vintage or prototype bottle from the upcoming West Coast Will Call, which one would you want? Ha ha! too late I know, but let me just chime in with everyone else to say - underpants. But really, any bottle that my witch would think I would love. I don't know if Halfling was there, but it was my favorite when I sniffed the protos at NYCC. DVDs, Blu-Ray, both, neither? DVDs - I watch them on my laptop. Sock Dreams? What kind? (anklets, footies, etc.?) Sock Dreams is awesome! I like the mid calf ones, and higher. the Over the knee ones are wonderful. They are all wonderful. I like the fun ones, bright colors, stripes, etc. . Since this is a price capped round, would you rather get one "big" thing or lots of "little" things or don't care? Whatever my witch is moved to send me will be wonderful. Probably lots of little things, but I will be thrilled either way! Do you like pirate-related things? Sure! In small doses. I think it's fun. (I would also like to try Dread Pirate Roberts soap) I love the Princess Bride! Soaps? Be specific: if there are BPAL soaps you want to try or are dying for more of, tell all here! Also, any other companies people like or love? Villainess, maybe? Or Lush? What flavors??? I love Tarty's Paintbox Soapworks. I would like to try Immaculate Confection. The Queen is Dead is one of my very favorites, but was an LE and is sold out. I would also like to try the Villainess Bourbon Vanilla, and Lush's shower gel It's Raining Men. What periods of art do you love most? Like, if someone was going to get you a tapestry or a box or some other item, what period would you want it to most resonate with? the pinks and golds of Rococo? the clean geometry of Art Deco? The romanticism of Art Nouveux? The strange lines of Cubism? Rococo, I think. I love the look in small doses. Would you like caffeinated lollipops?: http://www.lollyphil...cks-caffeinated They look interesting! Copied CD's or DVD's? Sure! I'm going to Disneyland in a couple of weeks, is there anything I can get you? I like disneyland! But I can't think of anything I would particularly want. A postcard would be wonderful. Really, anything you wanted to get would be wonderful. March 15 Booze? Yay or Nay? what kinds? I like booze! Red wine or sweet things like frangelico, kaluha, etc. Steampunk inspired items? Yay or nay? I guess - mildly steampunky? I am not into things with all the crazy amounts of gears and things, but I think some of the milder versions are really awesome. Do you like amurigami dolls? i think they are cute but would mostly end up as a doggie toy. He likes little stuffed animals and things. Pirates vs Ninjas vs Zombies - who wins? Which do you love most? Ha! I like them all. I think the ninjas would kick the pirate's asses, and then the zombies would just stagger in and wipe out the ninjas. Do you like wearing things in your hair? If so, what kind (snap clips, scrunchie, headband, etc), how big & crazy (lowkey, bigger the better), and colors. My hair is finally long enough to put up, and I am enjoying it! I wear ponytails, little buns (it's still not very long, ha ha!) I have seen some cute feather hair things on etsy - peacock headbands, I like the big flowers that are ponytail/bun holders, things like that. Dramatic but still work-able for not-so-long hair. Any colors are nice, since I wear mostly black, and add color through accessories (scarves etc) when I want to. Piercings? - ears?? - elsewhere? I have two holes in each lobe, each tragus, and one cartilage. Also my nose. I really only change the earrings in my 1st earlobe hole - the rest stay in pretty permanently. Chocolate. With stuff in it? Are you more a plain chocolate lover, a chocolate and normal items lover (normal items being nuts, fruit, caramel) or do you like weird stuff in your chocolate? (weird stuff being curry, chilis, balsamic vinegar, floraly things) I like semi sweet dark chocolate. 60% or thereabouts is good, and I like almonds, hazelnuts, caramel, and I haven't tried much weird stuff. Lavender sounds good, though. I do like milk chocolate as well, it really just depends on my mood at the time, all chocolate is good! I like the Ritter Sport chocolate with the yogurt, but can only find it here in multi-packs. (their hazelnut is really good too!) March 14 surprise! the world has given you the day off. You hear that, no chores, responsibilities, or budget you have to follow. What would you do in those 24 hours? Do you have any blogs you regularly read? I bounce around the makeup and fashion blogs. Temptalia, Le Blog de Betty, Honestly WTF, Budget Babe, psimadethis, ...love maegan, and lots of others. Do you need another bpal box? If so what would your fantasy one look like? I always need more boxes! I like boxes of all kinds! I love the milled huge boxes that someone shared from etsy, but those are way out of my price range right now. But they are so gorgeous! Do you enjoy gardening? If so, what kind of stuff do you grow? Vegetables, flowers? I want to have a pretty yard and grow my own veggies - at least in containers. Last year I did plant some flowers and had a container of cherry tomatoes and basil. Most of the flowers died, unfortunately. I have a book from a former Witch, I need to read it again more carefully! Social Networking sites: facebook under my real name, twitter: trittipoe, live journal l_trittipoe. I think that's all. favourite artists or specific paintings? There are some on my amazon wishlist, for posters. March 13 how about mix CDs? Sure! Hey, how do folks feel about little e-goodies, like links to stuff your witchee likes? (articles online, pix, fic, etc) Sounds good to me! Tim Tams? Yes or no? Chocolate Creme, Caramel, or Dark Chocolate? Tim Tams are yum! I have only had the Pepperidge Farms ones, I liked the chocolate creme the best. I keep forgetting to look for the Arnotts ones on the rare occasion I get to World Market. Is there any "classic" literature (Hemingway, Dickens, Elliot, Bronte, Hugo, Wilde, etc.) that you would like to add to your collection? I have downloaded most of them to my kindle, because most of them are free. but if there is something that you love that you would like to recommend to me in particular, I will cherish it! candles and/or aroma melts: yay or nay? Yay to both! I like spicy foody scents ("fall" scents) mostly, and fruity foody scents for summer. Lemon pie, key lime, and always, always vanilla. Get your music player, what are the first 13 songs on Random? Astrological charts and interpretation/ reports? I would love this, but have no idea what time I was born. I think in the morning, around 7 am, but it's not on my birth certificate and both of my parents are gone. So how does everyone feel about receiving ebooks? I have a kindle, so ebooks are good! March 11 Would you rather have HUGE list of things your witchee wants to try or just a highlight list? Huge list is good, more chance that I will have something on it! I am not good enough at "if she likes ___, she will like ______" March 10 Baked Goods? Yea Nay? Yay! Preferably with the recipe included if you are willing to share. If not Baked goods and you are changing eating habits..a book of recipes perhaps that will help the new eating lifestyle? I like recipe books. For baked goods and vegetarian recipes. I also like those little spiral books that local groups make as fundraisers - you know, where people contribute recipes. I love those!! If you were to make an order RIGHT NOW (Not that any of you will make any bpal orders until SW is over, because you do NOT want to mess up any plans your witch might have!) What would you order (from lab, forum, DD, TradingPost, etc) Lab: another bottle of Western Diamondback to age, since I opened my 8 month old bottle and it is WTFOMG gorgeous. Now. A bottle of Black Rider, but I do want to try Red and White and probably should before I decide Black is the one for me. A bottle of Smut 2011. So much sweeter and less boozey on me than 2010. TP: Snake Oil Bath Oil, I need moar! And I think maybe the Glowing Vulva bath oil. And another bottle of Spanked. And Kitty sounds very nice! And TAL: a bottle of Anthelion & a bottle of Joy What level of nudity are you fine with on items? Ex: none, tasteful, erotica tasteful is good - someone said "if I can call it art" I know the ?airre asked about gently used books and if you like garage sales, but would you like other kinds of gently used items that may have come from a garage sale? Gently used is awesome. I shop a lot at the local consignment/donation shops and love them! I am looking for that maxi dress mentioned above to turn into a skirt! Do you like cooking seasonings, like the kind you can get in ounce sizes? If so, things you'd love to try out? I love cinnamon, and put it in my coffee before brewing every morning. So I go through a lot! I also like garlic, lemon pepper, and sea salts. I have been really pleased with the different kinds of salts that I have found. Do you like any particular kinds of green or black teas or coffees that could also be gotten in bulk? I am pretty flexible with tea and coffee. I like most kinds! I do prefer darker roast coffee. Favorite snack foods (and can they be from bulk section as well?) Depends on my mood, sometimes sweet, sometimes salty. Cheez-it crackers are awesome, raw almonds, chocolate... I like freeze dried fruit, the crunchy kind, but I don't know if that is available in bulk. It is hard to find, sometimes. I want to try dried mulberries - I loved mulberries as a kid, and had not idea you could get them dried until I saw it in a magazine.

    Burning Vulva

Upon first application, I get loads of red ginger - it reminds me of my beloved War. But there is something powdery there..... and as this dries it morphs into all powder, all the time. Maybe there is a little bit of leather there? Amber does this to me sometimes. So sad!
  13. ltrittipoe

    Red Lace

I got my bottle so fast! And I am all the way on the other side of the country! In the bottle and when first applied, I get a lot of the cotton and tobacco that I get from Black Lace. To me. Red Lace has sort of the same background as Black Lace (I have never tried Antique Lace, so can't say if there is a comparison), but RL is definitely "redder" - pomegranate, patchouli and raspberry are all present and blending beautifully. I don't get much red musk or frankinscence, only a touch. I agree with the reviewers who said that this will age beautifully - I can totally see this as a blend that in a year, it wil be drool worthy. It is absolutely lovely now, but a ittle "perfumey" on me - not that that is a bad thing - I normally wear more foody blends, so to my nose this is a more traditional fragrance. It does morph and settle, becoming a smooth, faintly fruity, but definitely red scent. ETA: Ok, now that this has had a couple of weeks to settle, it has already aged into gorgeousness! I can pick out the individual notes with my nose against my wrist, but wafting around me, they blend so well and it is just stunning.
  14. ltrittipoe

    War

This is love, love on my skin. Fresh ginger mixed with honeysuckle, blended with spices and creaminess. I don't get the black pepper, yay! I do get the "sharp" comparisons, but to my nose that is the sharpness of freshly grated ginger, and mixes well with the creamy undertone. I can see the comparison to Pepper, all grown up - there is the same feel to War. But War is a strong uncompromising scent, definitely red, warm and sweet. Pepper is much more pink. This perfectly suits the character, to me. A gorgeous woman, that brings war, topples governements, and men lust after and are frightened of at the same time. This has become one of my top ten, really top five - and absolutely hoard-worthy.
  15. ltrittipoe

    WILF

Right out of the mailbox, and this is :love!: I do get the comparisons to SnakeOil/Charmer, definitely. A little chocolate peppermint, a little juniper berry (but only a little), and a wallop of patchouli over a Snake Oil base is what I am getting. On, it is very similar to my year old Snake Oil..... instant aging! It has that resiny/musky creaminess, but with a faint freshness too. I can't wait to see how this ages, if it is this good right away. I will edit this if anything changes after it settles a bit..... but right now, I can see many, many backups in my next order.....
  16. ltrittipoe

    Sugar Plum Fairy

When first applied, this is all OMG WATERMELON JOLLY RANCHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which is great if you like watermelon jolly ranchers, and while I like them as candy, the scent was a little much. But as it starts to dry the "watermelon" fades and morphs into a lovely juicy plummy scent, and I am getting undertones of vanilla and apricot, but no cacao yet. There is a faint earthiness that I assume is the amber musk. This is a very pretty scent, light and sweet without being too foody. The plum gives it a foody, candy brightness, but the other notes ground it and keeping it from being a completely foody scent. The tiare gives it a floral feel, without making it a floral scent. Just a lovely combination of the notes. This is really lovely, not a lot of throw but it seems to have lasting power.
  17. ltrittipoe

    Searching for the Perfect Vanilla?

Boo is the most vanilla of the vanillas on my skin. I use it a lot to layer when something needs a little more vanilla. I get more vanilla-y sweetness from Boo 2009 than 2010, but I don't know if that is due to aging or formulation. Banshee Beat is gorgeous. I love the combination, and I was also wary of patchouli until Banshee Beat. (There were bad scent memories there.... ) Tombstone is a sasparilla-y vanilla on me, like a root beer float. With leather. TKO has wonderful vanilla in it. If you like lavender as well, it's wonderful. Midway smells like cream soda on me, I get a lot of vanilla from that.
  18. ltrittipoe

    The Arabian Dance

This is just gorgeous. The leather is very much at the front of this, but it is more of a soft, suede scent - that deep rich buttery smell from really good, really thin suede? This is that. There is a hint of coffee and hazelnut, and the tobacco is there in the background as well, and the spiciness. This isn't "sweet' in any way, but rather rich and deep. Oh, and for the record, not only do I not amp leather, but I have a hard time picking it out in blends. And when I can pick out out, if the blend is fresh it usually is "sharp" on me. This is not. As it dries, I am getting more of the tobacco, not a burnt tobacco smell, but just the tobacco plant smell mixed with the suede-y leather. I think as this ages, it will become evne more beautiful. I also think this will layer really well with Snake Oil. ETA: As I was looking for a leather comparison, I realized... this is the leather from Bow and Crown of Conquest. In fact, on me, this blend is a non-lavender Bow and Crown of Conquest. No other notes in common, but there you have it.
  19. ltrittipoe

    The Midnight Carnival

In the imp: very well blended mixture of all the notes, hard to pick out any one. On, wet: Inscensy! Lavender-y inscence. I think it's the myrrh that gives it that feel, of smoky evenings outdoors. I get a bit of woodiness, from the teak and agarwood, I think. The lavender isn't overwhelming, but definitely present, mostly giving a "feel" to it instead of an actual lavender scent. This is really lovely. And I agree that it will age beautifully, deepening and smoothing. It reminds me a bit of Black Death only with lavender. I think this one is bottle-worthy.
  20. ltrittipoe

    Arachne of Lydia

In the imp: pure clove! I understand the "dusty" part of it, too. On, wet: still mainly clove, but a little fruitiness in the background. Mostly the blackcurrant is just warming up the clove, but it still smells old and dusty to me. But as it dries, it is sweetening just a bit, smoothing out and becoming fruitier. Drying; Something about clove and spiders.... the clove note reminds me a lot of The Smiling Spider from the Salons. Sniffing close to my wrist, I get a huge hit of dusty clove, no blackcurrant at all. But wafting around me as I am typing this, I am getting lovely blackcurrant with an undertone of clove. I apparently amp clove. Most of the fruitness is gone, leaving dusty clove that reminds me of something from my childhood, I think a cologne my grandmother wore.... I wish I got more blackcurrant from this. But if you love the lab's clove note, then this one is for you!

    Midway

This is for the Res. version, got it in a swap today and am SO EXCITED When I first put it on, it smells so familiar. It took me about an hour to place it - CREAM SODA!! The exact vanilla fizz scent of the sweet cream soda I drank as a kid (that kind was Nehi, but I think it pretty much all smells/tastes the same). Now that I've had it on for a couple hours, if I huff my wrist close, I do get a funnel cake/donut/salty popcorn blend under the cream soda. This is absolute, pure love.

    Sw Halloweenie 2010 Round!

Some of these require lots of thought. I am going through and answering the ones that I can answer fairly easily, and will think on the ones that require that. *think think* 9/19/10 Do you read/like fantasy? What kind of books or authors do you love? Which one would you like to read? Would you like gifts related to it? I don't read much fantasy, really. I did think of a book I wanted to read and haven't though - The Last Unicorn. Soaps : do you like them? What brands? What scents? Anything you're dying to try? Love Paintbox Soapworks and Villainess. And then, Arcana and Haus of Gloi. I want to try solstice scents, but haven't. All the scents are on the "help for my SW" page in my sig. 9/18/10 Who likes hair toys, and if so what kind? Does any art we may send need to be child safe, either in the actually safe sense or the non X rated sense? In the knitted/crocheted things area, would you want wrist warmers, 1/2 gloves, a neck warmer(the kind that pretty much just goes around your neck and maybe fastens instead of being long and loose like a scarf), slippers, or hats? How do you feel about altered/recycled/upcycled items of clothing or accessories? Is there anything you want from the Violette Market update? What is your favourite habitat and climate to live in? How about to visit? (ie. forest, canyons, mountains, by the beach; temperate, tropical...) What do you wish you could make/craft if you had the know-how and supplies? Specifically, which particular items? Is there anything you would like from Conjure Oils general catalogue or the new updates that isn't already on your wishlist? Am I alone in this, or is there a Book Fair/Comic Con scent you're dying to get your paws on, too? Anyone need address/phone type books? 9/17/10 Are there any particular movies, tv shows or cd’s that you’ve been meaning to buy for years but just never got round to getting? Would you mind a gently used dvd/cd if your witch had it or could get it?? Is there anything from the Possets' Hallowe'en update you're lusting after? Would you like a custom/altered toy either from a seller or from your witch (like My Little Pony, or a Barbie or any particular toy that can be changed?) Do you like the candy apple, candy corn or pumpkin spice kisses? Anne Taintor, anyone? Which web comics do you enjoy? 9/16/10 If I were to knit a scarf, would you prefer a skinny one, or a wide one? A short one, that when wrapped once around your neck will just tuck under your jacket, or a long one, at least to your waist? Don't like scarves? Would a rectangular shawl or triangular shawl be more to your taste? How do you feel about recipes? What kind of a cook/baker are you? Are you happiest calling for delivery or microwaving a lean cuisine, Or will Food Network be asking you to host their new program? If I send you something home made would you like the reciepe for it? Yes, please! If you are someone who doesn't want baked goods sent, would you like a collection of some of my favorite recipes? I will happily accept baked goods, and would love the recipes too! How about home made mixes or kits? Kind of like the cookie in a jar thing, where you would need to add the perishable ingredients? That sounds really cool. I love those cookie in a jar things. if you are a tea lover, what are your flavor preferences? Green? Black? Herbal (I know, technically those are NOT teas, but tisanes)? Flavored blacks/greens? I like green tea, just plain or jasmine. I like plain black tea, earl grey, and some others...., and herbal, I like peppermint and fruit. 9/15/10 How do you feek about silly, funny knick-knack, dollar store stuff, stickers, magnets etc? Is there a specific book you've been wanting to get but haven't found the time or the opportunity to? Do you read mangas/watch animes? Which ones? Do you have a particular favourite? Would you like to receive managas or anything related to them? No, sorry. Are you open to receiving things that are not on your wishlist, maybe something your Witch thinks you might like? Anything my witch thinks I would like, I will be grateful and appreciative! If you have something on a wishlist that we could craft INSTEAD of buying, though it might not end up identical to the wishlist thing, would it be okay to craft it instead? Obviously we don't want to copy anyone else's design, but if we can replicate the flavour or intent that you like without stepping on toes? I think that would be awesome. OK, I know that lots of folks love socks. Do you have a preference of length? Materials? Patterns? I like socks. All kinds. I wear either plain black or fun crazy patterned ones all winter, to work. I like anything "fancy". I like over the knee socks this year, but since I have fat calves to go with fat everything else, they are hard to find. I would like to find fun ones long enough to poke out of my boots. How do people feel about word magnets? I think they are really neat, but my fridge is plastered with photos and lists and.. and.. I would like just magnets, though. I am always losing them. Think Geek has the super strong ones that look like push pins. I like those. If you could have any costume, or if you aren't into costumes, necklace or other accessory, from any movie character, what would it be? How do you feel about samples/decants of things other than BPAL? Soap slices, lotion/scrub/shower gel decants, single use make-up/beauty products, etc. I feel very fondly of these things. I like samples - how else can I develop new addictions! What are you guys going to be aiming for in the Inquisition? Or do you just plan on ordering individual items? Um, I kind of want it all. Also, how do people feel about shawls? I am happy for anything my witch makes or has made for me. The love that goes into hand made articles is the best part - and I do love shawls, big swingy ones that I can wrap up in! (See Shawl o'doom in the SW thread - GORGEOUS!! I will make that one day.) Is there a TV, movie or literary character that you are a lot alike, or would like to be alike? Is there anything you need for your kitchen, ie measuring cups, spoons, grater, ect? I like gadgety things, but don't NEED anything. But with things like that, how do I know I need it until I see it? Music, DO you prefer Live or Studio? Edited or explicit? I like seeing live music, live, but prefer studio recordings. And I dislike edited music, usually. Sometimes it is just funny. If you are an animal lover, is there a specific type/breed that you love most? I do love all animals. I have a soft spot for little muttsie dogs, and anything fluffy. Also horses. Also flowers and plants- If you like flowers/plants, do you have a favorite(s)? I think I would say peonies are my current favorite. They are just so lush and overblown and enthusiastic looking. I also love daffodils and hyacinths. Do you have a favorite quotation? Song lyric? Book passage? What is a bpal scent that you've been dying to try for awhile but just can't find? (A scent where even a tester would do) There are lots that I would like to try because I haven't been into BPAL for very long, but, in the case of the impossible to find/test/try, what if I love it? What if it is my HG and I can never every get my hands on it again and everything else is second best? That would be sadder than never knowing for certain how awesome it is. (Although I am EXTREMELY grateful for the rares I have tried, and if they are just testers, I keep them to sniff every now and then. I love you, Storyville.) Let's say, hypothetically speaking, that you have some children/spawn (1 or more), and, hypothetically speaking, your witch would like to spoil them a little but knows nothing of kids these days. What do they like or dislike? Also is there anything a (sane) adult might think they would like that you don't think is appropriate for whatever reason? (I'm thinking of things like temp tattoos, make up, things that make noise, or anything else that might be bad for non-obvious reasons.) I have no kids of my own. Only puppeh, kitteh, bunneh. I like amusing videos a lot, as well as discovering musicians I am not familiar with, makeup/hair how to videos (I mean all of the videos just email me youtube links). Funny animals are funny. Makeup/hair how tos help with work. (hair - updos, special occasion, something unique instead of just styling) What would your last meal be if it could be anything in the world (sky is the limit, drinks too, the whole shebang) NaNoWriMo? thewha? Jams, apple butter, lemon curd - sweet stuff! If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Partial bottles would be AWESOME. Would you like something you have to make yourself? I am learning to knit, and would like a kit or something like a kit for that. It would have to be a pattern, needles, and yarn - not necessarily a "kit" but something you put together, even. I am a beginners beginner, and need clear instructions & "this yarn is to make this item." Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Would you want me to make it? Or would you rather it be purchased for you? As I said about scarves, I would love made by you items. That would be wonderful! Who is your favorite soap etailer? Do you have a preference? Seriously, whatever my witch sends me is fabulous. Whatever you decide, however you decide to send it. What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet? I have scentbase (thanks cam!) but it is out of date. I am worse with updating that than I am with these questions. Do you like maple sugar candy? LOVE IT. Maybe more than chocolate. What is your position on the chocolate & bacon flavor combination? Blech. If you are a tea-drinker do you need a tea-cozie for your pot? I don't have a tea pot, I am a tea heathen. I make and keep LOTS of lists, and have found that a notebook that fits in my purse keeps me slightly more organized. Emphasis on slightly. Desiccated Frostberry Pie Filling

  24. ltrittipoe

    Ghoul Hooligan

YUM! Chocolate & spices! I don't get any lager either, except maybe to make the chocolate a "deeper" scent. I get a lot of spice, definitely ginger and cinnamon. This is delicious!
