  1. I got a nice reaction from the hubby with Sudha Segara... and will probably be needing a big bottle of it in the next order... apparently I smell like everyones grandmother weating Vixen... which is decidedly NOT the reaction I was hoping for... I think i must have weird chemistry or something...
After seeing so many suggestions for Vixen I would like to say that I had the exact same reaction with Vixen as you... we must have similar chemistry. I am glad to see I am not the only one!!! I will definitely look into Sudha Segara. My sexiest are: Snake Oil, Come To Me - Got great responses from both. also: All Night Long.
Hmmmm. I need a suggestion for a first date. I want to smell fresh and clean and intriguing and a wee bit sexy, but not compete with the sushi . . .
Don't know if this is what your going for but if you want to smell clean and sexy, I would suggest Come To Me. It seems to get mixed responses on the bpal boards but it is fantastic for me. Just use the tiniest amount. It is so interesting because it is borderline sticky, bitter and tangy, but is so clean soap, lilly of the valley and almost pine smelling (on me atleast) and gets great responses I have found. I think it's amazing when used sparingly.

  2. It was part of the Carnaval Noir LE series, but it was resurrected last year as part of the lab anniversary resurrection LE's. Here are the reviews.I'll report this thread to the mods and they can merge it with the *what is this scent* thread or something.
Thanks for the response! Sorry I don't post very often and didn't know where to put this commentary. I will make sure to put it in the right spot next time!
It is indeed a llimited edition. I am trying to find the review thread for you but in the meantime:Sensual, sibilant, sexual and hypnotic: Arabian musk and exotic spices slinking through Egyptian amber, enticing vanilla, and a serpentine blend of black plum, labdanum, ambrette, benzoin and black coconut.Snake Charmer Review Thread
Thanks so much, that is really helpful and I appreciate you taking the time to look it up for me :)

  3. I got Snake Charmer a while back in a swap and I'm guessing it must have been limited edition because I cannot find it anywhere on the lab website.

I happen to really enjoy this scent and I am thinking it is very similar to Snake Oil but has a peachy tone to it (in my opinion).

If anyone know what it is, what scents make it up and any other related details I would appreciate it... just out of pure curiosity! I like to know what goes well on me so I can keep track for future testing.

    Thanks!!!

  4. Lemon Pledge. I wore it for 25 minutes and it I just reeked like house cleaner. :ack:

It was bitter and astringent in the bottle and on my skin. I had to wash it off and cover my wrists in snake oil!

Maybe I should apply less and find another scent to blend it with.

  5. In Bottle:

    Banana Candy and Orchid

    First Dab:

Still smells like banana candy, warming into flowering leis. Very tart and sweet and tropical. I'm not sure what some of those ingredients smell like, such as the moon flower that it contains, but very floral.

It also has the pungent resin base of most perfumes, a little astringent.

Definitely a Spring and Early Summer scent... or just a Hawaiian scent, would go well will all warm and tropical climates, especially in the Morning.

Getting sorta a Channel #5 after scent.

    1.5 Hour Later:

The Lokelani, a type of rose, is definitely coming out now and is giving the scent a very soapy smell on my skin. Rose comes out very strong on me and very soapy.

    Finally:

It reminds me of a scent a 13 year old girl might wear. Almost a floral white musk, powdery on me!!! No! I really hoped I could wear that one, I still think it would be acceptable to to wear it in the tropics, it just stands out too much in midwinter in Montana. The smell would be compatible with Hawaii definitely.

  6. Sophia: My Namesake

    In Bottle:

I was surprised that the scent wave of ingredients gave off an impression of licorice, wintergreen, musk’s and spice inside the bottle.

    First Dab:

Sweet and tart to start like candy hearts.

Then deepens into a heavy rose/white musk richness, which is generally a powdery scent, but in this case is luxuriant.

There is some lavender blended with the rose.

Not getting too much of the spice.

Child Sweet and Evolving into a Mature Feminine.

    1.5 hour later:

Powder Rose and Musk: Baby Powder

    Same Later ON...

Just like Baby Powder on my skin. Not for me unfortunately!
