    Golden Wave

This is quite lovely!! To me, this smells very much like Swank, but instead of the pomegranate note, there is a lovely tangerine note. This is very sweet and fruity without being overly boozy. It has a certain crispness to it, the same way Swank does. The sweetness of the passion fruit balances out the tartness of the alcohol note and the tangerine. I like this very much, I wish it had a bit more throw, but quite lovely enough to re - apply.

    Screeching Parrot

Wow, this is a SHARP boozy one, very heavy on the alcohol note; at least when it's first applied. It reminds me very much of a strong fuzzy navel, when you are lucky enough to get one that is mixed strongly. There is a very bright citrus feel to this; and I mainly smell apricot and grapefruit. On the dry down, the booze note does relax a bit, and the apricot takes center stage. This one is just a little TOO boozy for me. I'd be afraid if I wore this to work, everyone would think I'd been hitting the bottle in the morning!! Nice idea, but doesn't quite work for me.

    Tiki King

This is sexy, strong, and masculine. On me, it smells mostly of lemon and musk. There is a certain sweetness to the undertones that suggests hints of coconut. I like this for a guy, but on me there is a subtle "darkness" to Tiki King that isn't quite vibing with my chemistry. I'm assuming that's the bark note playing tricks on me. The darkness hits me nose sort of the same way vetiver does; deep, earthen and slightly icky on me. That being said, this would be exquisite on a guy, and I would love to have a Tiki King that would wear this. This is a strong blend, long lasting and much throw.

    Tiki Queen

Love at first sniff!! Oh this is sooo gorgeous, I am so glad I ordered a bottle, absolutely fabulous! This is an exquisite floral blend, but unlike any floral I've ever smelled. I'm not sure what the monoi is supposed to smell like, so maybe that is what's making this blend so great on me. But, I'm thinking the red hibiscus is the top note on me, and it' scrumptious and ultra feminine. There is an amazing sweet mish mosh of undetones; a little vanilla, coconut and ylang ylang make this blend multi layered and complex. It's not foody at all, and I expected it to be, but I'm not disappointed. The floral note is so enticing it actually makes my mouth water anyway. I don't think I've ever smelled a floral note I like more than this. Practically indescribable in it's beauty. Very long lasting and strong for a floral blend; it lasts on my skin for hours. THIS ROCKS!!

    The Presence of Love

I was hoping for a grapefruity, amber blend, which is why I ordered this, but no such luck. Presence of Love is straight up white musk and jasmine on my skin. The jasmine note is very strong, to the point of being almost overpowering. This is lovely, very soft, innocent and clean with a "crystalline" feel to it. While it's not typically what I like to smell like, I don't deny the complex loveliness of this blend. On the right person, I'm sure this is knock down gorgeous.

    Anactoria

On me, this is mostly musk, amber, and a touch of the white honey note. I ordered this because I love the lab's white honey note, and I was hoping it would take the front seat in this blend, but no such luck. The amber in this goes very, very powdery on me, which doesn't usually happen with my skin chemistry. I think it might be the amber in combination with the musk that's creating a powder effect. This is a very soft, gentle, feminine scent. Not a lot of throw, but it does last for a few hours. Very pretty, not quite my thing though.

The Passionate Shepherd To His Love

Lovely! Very very strong carnation blend with a smattering of greenness in the background which must be the clover. My skin has never amped up carnation quite like it does with this blend. This is very romantic, and usually I'm not a floral person, but this is very striking. It has medium throw and lasting power, but is notably stronger than many florals are on me. Very pretty, perhaps not my favorite, but very feminine and first date-ish.

    April Fool

It was love at first sniff for me!! Glorious; fruity and sweet with a hint of beautiful rose. The tangerine note is definitely on top, with the lemon close behind. It's a sweet lemon note, not sour, if that makes any sense. It reminds me a bit of an orange starburst, or a Now and Later candy. This is sooo ultra girly, fun, flirty, and yummy. My perfect summer scent, I adore this!!

    Hanami

This is so different! It does very much remind me of the spring breeze with cherry blossom petals. It's clean and floral, but with a wafting undertone that smells a bit like tea. There is a fresh, "windy" note like spring air in the mountains. The floral notes becomes a bit more prominent on the dry down, and it goes a bit soapy as well. This is insanely girly, yet sexy and innocent at the same time. Very pretty!

    Earth Rat

Delicious! Wet, red, juicy, mouth watering fruits. Yup, this is a fruitlicious, uplifting, sweet blend that is perfect for spring. It reminds me a bit of Fire Pig, except without the extreme citrus note. It also reminds me of Yemaya; there is that same melon-y goodness on the dry down. It's not terribly long lasting, but then, fruit blends never are. I love it!!

    The Spell of Amorous Love

I love this. It smells primarily like green tea and red currant on me. It's very light yet refreshing and feminine. I love the combination of berry notes with green tea; you just can't go wrong. Sooo girly that I want to bathe in gallons of this. It's not terribly long lasting, but when it smells this good, who cares?? Man, I can see why these blends are so expensive; it really shows in the quality of the scent. Gorgeous, I'm enchanted!

    Glowing Vulva at Ryogoku Bridge

Oh how wonderful this one is!! First Impressions: Smooth, yummy cream with a glorious spattering of amber and a sweet note that smells like vanilla. This is that same glorious cream note that is in The Perilous Parlor and Love's Philosophy; it's just beautiful. This blend is slightly lighter and more floral than Love's Philosophy, but is very similar. Its only down fall is that it doesn't last long; it stays very close to the skin. But that's ok, because this is one of those super sexy scents that you really just want people to smell when they are close up anyway. On the dry down, the cream note chills out a little and the lotus shows itself. Very, very pretty. LOVE it

    Christmas Rose

Enchanting!! A very unique floral, I am almost at a loss for words to describe this. It 's a gorgeous hellebore bloom, which is a strong, noble, ballsy floral. There is a certain "edge" or bite to this blend that immediately makes me think of winter. That famous lab frozen/snow note runs through the undertone. It conjours images of ice encrusted roses, frozen at the peak of perfection. Doesn't have a lot of lasting power, but lovely enough to re-apply. Very pretty, I will certainly be keeping my bottle.

    Blood Phoenix

Gorgeous!! The hubbie was sooo jealous that he couldn't have this one! It's a sweet dragon's blood with strong, fruity undertones of wine grapes. Very red, deep, bloody, and enchanting! Reminds me a little bit of Blood Countess on the dry down. Strong but soft, with a masculine beginning and a feminine ending to it. It sweetens up even more on the dry down, and becomes a powdery soft grape with a musky, red incense undertone. Very, very lovely and long lasting. I love it!

    Sugar Moon 2008

This is a very interesting scent. With the long list of components, I expected a very complex, many faceted scent. Instead, on my skin, this divides into 2 different parts. One half is a strong, deep, brown sugar note, and the rest of the ingredients combine to form an earthen, dark, dusky, slightly herbal note that makes up the other half. It's very different from anything I've ever sniffed; mad props to Beth for brewing this one up! This is a very strong scent, especially for a lunar blend and lasts forever on my wrist. Very pretty and unique!

    The Fruit of Paradise

The Fruit of Paradise, the Nectar of Death: bittersweet pomegranate. I am a huge pomegranate fan, so I knew right off the bat I would like this no matter what. Yep, straight up pomegranate! It's a rather sweet, subdued type of pomegranate; not overly bright or strong. It's actually kind of a soft scent, with not a lot of throw for a fruit blend. It's very much like a slightly sweetened, much toned down version of Swank, which is one of my all time favorites. I like Swank because of it's intensity, brightness and throw, so I think I prefer it to The Fruit of Paradise. That being said, this is still quite a lovely scent, it would be perfect for the pomegranate fan who prefers a subtle, skin - clinging sweetness.

    Love's Philosophy

Yummy, smooth, wonderful, pure decadence! This is a lovely french vanilla scent. It immediately reminds me of the vanilla note in The Perilous Parlor, which is one of my favorites. It's creamy, feminine, foody, and completely indulgent. I love this, an amazingly simple scent, yet sooo gorgeous. It has strong throw at first, and medium to long staying power. Highly recommended for fans of the Perilous Parlor and The Glowing Vulva at Ryogoku Bridge. Yum!

    Cheshire Moon

First Impressions: Warm, light orange in color, inviting, soft, fuzzy, citrusey. This is a lovely, shy scent that I find unbelievably hard to describe! There is no doubt that this has a citrus backdrop, but the top notes are baffling me. I can smell a bit of the cherry blossom and hibiscus, but there is something else there; slightly earthen, brown and comforting. It must one of the "lunar herbs" whatever they may be. Very enticing, somewhat of a comfort scent. This is hard to classify; not quite a citrus blend, but not quite a floral or herbal either. Interesting! A very nice scent, my hubbie has already staked his claim on this bottle after I review it! My only complaint is, Cheshire Moon is soft and does not have much throw.

    Ulalume

This is clean, crisp, green, aquatic and woodsy all at the same time. My first reaction was "Spring woods" but there is a certain, contradictory, spiciness to the background. The top note is lilies, with a smooth white airy quality to them. I can definitely smell a grass - like plant note, as well as an autumn - like crushed leaves note. This is a very interesting blend, I wouldn't know how to categorize it! Soft, without much throw. Lovely, but not quite my thing.

    Pisces 2008

First sniff - Whoa! Very strong and pungent, earthy and musky. This immediately disagrees with me, but I tried it on my skin anyway. After about 20 minutes on my wrist - Ok, it's chilled out a little, and actually faded pretty quickly. It is now an indistinguishable powdery scent, mostly floral with a hint of a resinous base. I think I'm smelling mainly the hemp, wisteria and sasparilla, with maybe the barest touch of the opium. It's much nicer than it was fresh out of the bottle, but still not quite my thing.

    Moon of Ice

Although the scent components are quite different, this reminds me very much of Ice Queen, which is one of my all time favorites. Yes, very much like Ice Queen with, perhaps, a bit more of an "edge." There is a bit more of a minty sharp quality to Moon of Ice, probably due to the eucalyptus. Piney, but with a fruity quality to it as well. Overall, very crisp, clean, wintery and lovely. This could be a very good replacement for Ice Queen since I'm doomed to run out of that one of these days.

    Capricorn 2007

Yup, pine, pine and more pine, a fresh green pine forest! It's a smooth, clean, subdued pine scent on me; not overly strong the way Skadi is. Usually the pine scents last all day on me, but this ones fades pretty quickly. It's quite lovely while it lasts, though. Wish I had more to contribute to this thread, but this is a pretty straight forward blend.

Diary of a Lovestruck Teenage Cannibal

Oh, how utterly divine!! I LOVE the label on this one! This smells wonderfully foody; vanilla cream with a citrusey, pear/ lemon and a kick of cinnamon. Smells good enough to eat, and it has quite a bit of throw too! I love that about the spicy ones. This lasts quite awhile on me, and that scores big points in my book. It dries down to a light ginger cream scent with a hint of fruit in the background. I love this, this will become one of my favorites.

    Chanukkiyah

I know this sounds bizarre, but this smells like celery on me!! Yes, occasionally, my skin morphs BPAL into celery. This is actually the third BPAL that has smelled like this on me. I think maybe in Chanukkiyah, it's the combination of the beeswax and the olive oil. That being said, it's not an entirely unpleasant celery scent. It's light, and rather sweet and fresh, with a soft floral background. Very interesting. Definitely not my thing, darn skin chemistry!!

El Dia De Reyes Soap (by Silk Road Trading Company)

Amazing, fabulous, rivaled only by the actual fragrance oil itself. This was my favorite fragrance from the winter LE's, I ordered 2 bottles; how could I not love this soap? Gorgeous and strong smelling, the coffee note really comes out when the soap is wet. I only wish I had ordered 3 or 4 more bars of this, an awesome smelling soap!!! :D
