I’ve been wearing this all day and it is totally reminiscent of something I had as a teenager (before I discovered the wonder of BPAL) I feel like the previous review is pretty spot on. It’s creamy and dreamy and sort of traditional but really not traditional also. I’m glad I purchased this.

Full disclosure, I never buy the 13’s. It’s usually the herbal notes that turn me off so I typically skip them. But as I too hate this timeline and I love all these notes individually, I was like fuck it I’m going to give it a whirl. YA’LL this is such a lovely, enjoyable perfume. I can definitely detect the rose sugar, the amber, the date paste (if you love Khajaraho in any year, you will like this) and the cacao and benzoin towards the end. It’s sweet but not brain numbingly sweet and gourmand but not pure gourmand. I bet this is going to age spectacularly and be highly sought after.

wowowowowwowow this is the lilac perfume of my dreams!!! Literally the perfect essence of spring/early summer in a bottle. Absolutely beautiful. It doesn’t seem to have a ton of throw but it might need a bit of time as I just received this today. If you are a lilac lover and don’t buy this, I am not sure to what say except you are missing out big time.

I totally get the Danish thing with a hint of lemon. I really love it and because it’s not super strong or heady, I can wear it to work!

I just got this today at 12:00 pm and purposely left it in my car while I was at a work so it would warm up. I know the OG Snake Oil has been oos for a while now due to component issues but this is almost just as rich. That toasted quality makes it just the tiniest bit smokey to my nose. Can I say it’s like if Snake Oil was a flavor of creme brûlée? That’s what I’m going to say. I’m just sitting in my car in the sunshine refraining from errands because I’m huffing my wrists. This would also be stunning as a hair gloss…just saying.

I have Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Buns which I absolutely love so naturally I had to snag this one also. Hnnnrgghh!!! Warm gingerbread spices with sweet sugary glaze and a ton of cinnamon. I will never ever not want to smell like a fresh baked good. I don’t need to keep reapplying this as the staying power is pretty good but I do because I want that hit 🤣

Is there any other company out there using ancient crafted dildos as concept art for fragrances? I highly doubt it. And that in itself should raise the level of creative respect for BPAL way past the point of wherever it already was in your mind. The notes in this intrigued me, as I do generally like all of these things. I think the only other perfume I have had with a metallic note has been Witchblade, where you can definitely smell warm, red glowing metal and it’s intoxicating. In the bottle this is all green cardamom and the bronze musk, it definitely conjures up the image of what it’s supposed to in your brain. Like finding it amongst mossy ruins on a cool, sunny day. I’m smelling it on my wrists now and I am getting the deep amber note with the oakmoss (I fucking love oakmoss just FYI) and the sweet warmth of the Tonka. This is so beautiful and different than anything I currently have. I can’t tell yet what the staying power is but I think it’s going to be good.

I got this as a gift with my Lab Etsy purchase and I am pleasantly surprised! It starts out as a dead ringer for Strawberry Bubble Yum and then fades in soft berry hard candy.

Fresh out of the oven gingerbread thrown into the deep fryer full of hot oil! The hot oil aspect wears off pretty quickly leaving the warm, fresh gingerbread smell to become the dominate aspect. Good staying power but low throw. I tried mine fresh from the mail so I’m excited for this to age and change over time.

Full disclosure, I bought this second hand after ogling it for so many years! I have Tiki Princess which is one of my treasures so I had a hunch that I would love Tiki Queen as well. Smelling it in the bottle, the florals are so sharp I almost regretted buying it but never judge a BPAL by first sniff! On the skin it’s a tropical flower BOMB that is heady, luscious and lingering. I feel like a 1950’s pinup queen..I think it’s too precious to use right now in the winter in Vermont so I will save it for summertime 🖤

I am mega picky about fruit notes. Usually unless it’s Raspberry or Strawberry or Cherry I abstain but I have come to realize I really love Beth’s plum note in just about everything I have ever used with it. I figured the combo of these two would be pretty magical and it is! Straight out of the box and sniffing the bottle I get the black plum direct with a bit of marshmallow but once on my skin the two blend together like a sweet, creamy fruity/fluffy dream. Neither note overpowers the other and the drydown reminds me of something from my childhood although what that is, I cannot say.

This is like a red musk and pumpkin sister to Morocco. It’s warm and rich and sultry and definitely gives a hazy waft of scent that lingers as it dries down. Red musk lovers will rejoice! I’m so glad this was able to be created and I am putting a bottle away for aging. Also the label art is flippin’ adorable!

This is like a sweeter more mellow version of B. Beat/Revenant Rythym. Bourbon vanilla has not worked well for me in the past but this is like...heavenly. I can’t wait to see how it ages if the bottle makes it that long. Maybe I need to order another bottle.

Just sniffing the bottle, this is allll Gummy Bears. When first applied it’s the extreme fruity sweetness with a bit of the vanilla and it becomes softer and creamier when dried. If you loved Dies Patribus and or Neil from Paranorman, I think you will love this too. It may need to sit for a few days to mellow but I’m glad I got this as it’s a very happy scent. I actually might save this for my kiddo when he is a year or two older

Wow...All While Dreaming Shakes Her Head is the most mature Lilith perfumes I have ever smelled. The roses and the coffin wood are what stand out to me with the patchouli just peeking through on the dry down. It’s totally a growing up touchstone. Like if your mom had a perfume that she only used for special occasions and you happened to sneak a bit of it when you wanted to feel really special. This is really beautiful and will age into something regal, I have no doubt about it, just like Lilith themself!

This is very different than I expected. It’s like, earthy and spicy and dry when wet and gets softer and creamier on the dry down. I would say it’s saffron forward fading into Tonka. I’m curious to see what it will be like after resting for a few weeks.

Ted’s interpretation. The ephemeral romance, the fleeting affair: frankincense and blackcurrant, caramelized black amber, and motia attar. So I had to look up what motia attar was and discovered that it's another name for Jasmine sambac I typically love Ted's lunar interpretations because they always have a warm, soft quality to them and this one definitely has it. The frankincense is clean, the black current is mildly fruity and sweet here with the caramelized black Amber giving it a tiny bit of a smoky, sexy quality to my nose. The motia/Jasmine comes through a little bit at the end and makes the whole blend sparkly in feeling, not in smell if you know what I mean. This is really beautiful and will probably age incredibly.

PLAYING WITH DANGEROUS TOYS When George's Grandmamma was told That George had been as good as gold, She promised in the afternoon To buy him an Immense BALLOON. And so she did; but when it came, It got into the candle flame, And being of a dangerous sort Exploded with a loud report! The lights went out! The windows broke! The room was filled with reeking smoke. And in the darkness shrieks and yells Were mingled with electric bells, And falling masonry and groans, And crunching, as of broken bones, And dreadful shrieks, when, worst of all, The house itself began to fall! It tottered, shuddering to and fro, Then crashed into the street below- Which happened to be Savile Row. When help arrived, among the dead Were Cousin Mary, Little Fred, The Footmen (both of them), the Groom, The man that cleaned the Billiard-Room, The Chaplain, and the Still-Room Maid. And I am dreadfully afraid That Monsieur Champignon, the Chef, Will now be permanently deaf- And both his aides are much the same; While George, who was in part to blame, Received, you will regret to hear, A nasty lump behind the ear. The moral is that little boys Should not be given dangerous toys. The aftermath: dirt-smeared cocoa, with a Spanish moss, coconut, tobacco absolute, charred wooden beams, and blistered resins. First?!?!? this has never happened to me before! Well I was sure that I would love this and I do! In the bottle: sharp cocoa mixed with smokey wood Wet: Patchoulish mixed with dirt. This is a dirt note like the dirt in Banana Peel in a Graveyard, heavy deep soil. Dry: Moss covered chocolate that has been smushed into the dirt. The smokeyness is faint. The throw is medium. I do not detect the coconut whatsoever. But this is great because usually my skin eats up dirt notes and I cant smell them after 10 minutes or so. I deem this as a good one to put in my scent locket and will probably be able to smell more when the rest of me is slathered with Comforting Plush Companion (see other review)

Gahhhh I swear all the best patchouli is in these Bloodmilk blends! I know I have something else like this but I cannot put my finger on what it is. I agree with LiberAmoris that there is definitely a “sea” quality to this but fortunately there is no musky ocean smell because that never works for me. I’m not describing this well but if you love Silky Bat, Feed Me and Fill Me with Pleasure and Owl Moon, you will love this too.

Cardamom isn’t listed as a note so I’m thinking it’s a combination of some of the other notes that people are thinking smells like cardamom. I get earthy and sweet but have a really hard time smelling specific notes coming through. I love almost everything listed in the description but this blend is very mild so far. I am curious to see how it strengths or changes over time. I’m definitely holding on to it. It may be a nice scent for bedtime also.

To me this is a kissing cousin to Blood Kiss and actually Sanguinem Menstruum. It’s bloody honey and red musk with just the touch of Vetiver. I just got my bottle today and couldn’t wait to let it settle. Nice throw, this will age beautifully. I am glad I snagged one of these!

I have the other Gingerbread Zombi which is the GC scent plus Gingerbread which I have been hanging onto since it was released. I love Beth’s Gingerbread note and I knew I had to get this too. I was sort of afraid of the peppermint being overly minty but no, no, no. It’s very gingerbread at first and then dries down to a mellow, softly sweet and spicy vanilla with just a hint of the peppermint. I wish this was a beverage. I’m sure it’s going to age delightfully also. I’m glad I picked this one.

Tahitian Vanilla, Mysore Sandalwood & Bergamot
Geminirubyshoes replied to zankoku_zen's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
I love this. I really fucking love this. I learned a long time ago that if a blend has Mysore Sandalwood in it, I will want it. Also Tahitian anything. This is creamy, lush, sweet vanilla Sandalwood with the Bergamot just brightening it up a bit. It’s very strong up first application but then dries down soft and close to the skin. I can still smell it as it makes a close, comfy bubble around my head...shit I am going to need so many more bottles. -
To best express this scent, take some regular smut and rub it all over yourself. Next get a bag of black jelly beans and shove a handful in your mouth. Chew, whilst reveling in the combined scents of both. That’s exactly what this is like. I expected to love this and I was right.
