    Shipping Update

Erm... my outstanding order is, as far as I can tell, the oldest here - January 16. To be fair, though, I did not let Beth know right away that it was taking a long time - and I think the lab was hit by the flu shortly after I ordered. I also mailed Beth to let her know that I would not be upset if it took longer than normal. So, given that I was late telling Beth that it was missing, and that I explicitly said I wouldn't mind waiting, I don't feel really awful that it's not here.... like everyone, I just am excited to try the imps I ordered (lots containing dragon's blood resin) and enjoy big bottles of the ones I had already tried and loved (Tamora and the Raven! Very excited ). I would like to know what the status of the order is... that's what I really want.

    Shipping Update

i feel like i keep complaining about this, but i'm still waiting on my order from feb 7th. i've e-mailed beth a couple times and she's been so great at getting back to me in a timely fashion (bless her!) but i still don't know if it's been reshipped or what have you. it was only a small order but that's $50.00 i could have put towards groceries or something in the meantime. beth will sort it out, just let me in on the status girl! Yeah, I would just like to know the scoop ... whether my e-mails are being read, all that stuff. I don't mind waiting as long as I know what's happening This may be a dumb question, but should I be e-mailing the general address (customer service) vs. Beth directly? Are Brian and Ted also able to respond to questions about shipping? I've been e-mailing Beth at "cupcake@blackphoenixalchemylab.com" with my info. thanks for any info!

Site update in progress. Good & bad news.

I agree with everyone - none of these changes are bad news, these oils are superb and kick ass over anything else on the market, IMO.

    Email, posts and such.

Thanks for letting us know Beth, hope things settle down for you soon. Maybe (as a time-saver) if you're not able to respond to each e-mail, you could post answers to FAQs or something? (((Beth)))

    Shipping Update

I think people are using the "I got my order" thread to tell Beth/others when they've gotten their packages (it's in the randomness area)

    Shipping Update

That's funny, I'm from Canada and I've been in contact with Beth about my missing order sporadically over time ... the last exchange was on March 31st. I guess this means it's time for another e-mail Gah I just hate to bug Beth

    Shipping Update

I guess my real issue is that I don't want to bug Beth unnecessarily and add to the stress of things going astray, but I also don't want to make the mistake of not saying anything, because then how will anyone at BPAL know that my package didn't make it? That's what happened with my order that's outstanding now ... I assumed that Beth et al were receiving confirmations of some sort, so I didn't report the package as missing until really late. In retrospect that was dumb of me, but agh. *sigh*

    Shipping Update

Gah! I'm worried about my reship (to Canada) ... I have one order left outstanding, and I've been excited to see Kebechet's messages that orders have been cleared .... but IME, once an order has been shipped, it takes a very short time to arrive - my last reship was postmarked March 24th, and arrived on the 29th - and my order has not arrived. I don't know what to think ... if I haven't heard, is it possible that it's gone missing again?? Has anyone else had this experience? I've never received e-mails that confirm shipping, so I don't have evidence that my order has been shipped, but on the other hand if Kebechet has posted that all orders to X date have been cleared ... shouldn't that mean it's on the way, even if I haven't received a notification? I don't want to worry unnecessarily, but I would like to be able to tell Kebechet if the order has gone AWOL again. Is anyone else in this boat?

    Recs for Longest Lasting Oils

Gah! Oberon was SO strong on me - the floral bits, anyway - even after I washed with soap. I may try it again with just a tiny drop.

    Shipping Update..

Ai Caramba! I hope that would be a given - that if a parcel shows up twice, I would pay for it via paypal. LOL I was going to say, "will return it, or pay ..." but then I realized ... gah, RETURN it? When I could pay for it and have even more imps to play with?!

The search for the perfect Violet....

I've tried the Raven - LOVE it - and Wings of Azrael. Wings of Azrael didn't agree with me as much - it has a streak of green in it, if I remember correctly, so I prefer the Raven ... it's dark and sexy. I've ordered a sample of Old Sybaris, really looking forward to trying it!
  13. I would pay for FedEx or some other type of secure shipping - maybe that could be an option when ordering? Or, an option for the US and mandatory for international? I'm in Canada, and I've received three packages from the US recently (Feb and March) with no problems, regular mail. BUT ... obviously that may just be my selective good luck, since I have not received BPAL orders from the new year. Very sad but, I know, not anything to do with the Lab! Gah. By the way ... is the "cupcake@blackphoenixalchemylab.com" address the one we should be using to get in touch with Elizabeth?

This is great - thanks very much everyone!

    Incapacitated for a day.

((((Beth )))) Hope you're feeling better soon, lady!
  16. Ravenous and Hunger were very orangey to me - I think I described Ravenous as starting off like an orange popsicle on acid Ravenous has a red patchouli drydown and Hunger has vanilla - I liked Hunger on me better, but everyone has different chemistry!

    Reshipments: to clarify...

Thanks so much for everything, madame ... you are so so soooo great

    Lilac!

*blush* thank you ... And what lovelier gift than BPAL, eh?

    Lilac!

No, I didn't, Cinder! I'm thinking of giving some lilac oils to friends as a house-warming present, I wonder if that might be a bad idea? Or good idea, depending on whether they want to be spirit-friendly

    Lilac!

Q! not sure why, but I didn't realize that your engine was capable of that ... that's awesome. cheers, lady! Ok, so I have these, plus Bat's Blood ... Bruja: Menacing, bewitching and darkly sexual. A blend of myrrh, amber and lilac. Dragon's Eye: A piercing, radiant perfume: dragon's blood resin, lily of the valley, lilac and galbanum. Veil: A quiet scent, soft, calm and enigmatic. A perfume of mystery, of whispers, and of secrets behind secrets. White sandalwood, lilac, gardenia, violet, orris, lavender and ylang ylang. Whitechapel: A gentlemen's blend, possessed of dignity, charm and refinement, but in truth masking a corrupted, hideous, soulless core. White musk, lime, lilac and citron. Spectre: A wispy, ethereal perfume with a touch of menace. Lilac, tuberose, Lily of the Valley, palmarosa, and white sandalwood. Villain: A classic Victorian men's cologne: a lavender fougere, with hints of lilac, lime, and citrus musk. Les Fleurs du Mal: The scents of the blossoms of darkness, condensed into one perfume. Features a rose base, softened with lilac and wisteria. Nocturne: An olfactory serenede. A somber, contemplative scent -- dreamy and subdued. Deepest violet touched with lilac and tuberose. Cordelia: The essence of faith, love and devotion: lilac, lemon, green tea, wisteria, osmanthus, white cedar, and Chinese musk. Viola: Gentle tea rose, lilac, Calla Lily, and Somalian Rose layered over golden Peruvian amber, Spanish moss, red sandalwood, rosewood, and myrrh, with the lightest touch of Mandarin. Lilac (single note) *********** I will also look in the Reviews section for comments on these, but if anyone has thoughts on these or others whose components might not be listed (e.g. tarot oils or voodoo blends) I'd appreciate it!
  21. Beth! Just adding my agreement to everything the wise ladies have said, especially not repacking and resending for a few more days at least - my gut feeling is that things will turn up and I would hate to see you lose time and money replacing packages. (((Beth))))

I need help with a database.

H'lo Kebechet - Not to speak for Q'spice, but I imagine this kind of thing to be second nature to her. I use Microsoft Excel to keep track of things in table format. I know it's not the most sophisitcated way, but if you're not looking to do a lot of data manipulation then it's OK. For instance, I would make headings at the top with name, date of birth, preferences - all of those things - then simply put all the info beneath (one line per person). That way, you could use the features of Excel to sort the data. For example, you could find all the Cancers in your customer base. Or, all the people who like Vanilla.
  23. Thanks so much everyone! I think I will order samples of both cheers
  24. Nero is good for me too, esp. when it's a nausea issue! Sometimes I put it on before bed to clear my mind before sleep - if I'm feeling stressy and harassed by work.

    Tamora

I have a 5 mL bottle of this oil on order. The peach hits me first, bright and sweet, then dries down to a warm honey vanilla with a little bit of woodiness. It's a light, warm fragrance on me, but not in the sense of being "lightweight." The mood is bright and warm, I'm reminded of a place I visit sometimes during the hot summer months - the long grasses dry to a golden straw, and the heat causes the sweet scent of the grasses and wood to rise. *sigh*
