Ooo, I'm first to review this. I am not too good at this so bear with me.

In the bottle: There is the strong scent of lavender and not much else.

Wet: As soon as it goes on, out comes a strong lemon scent, maybe verbena. A combination of the two on the skin, very nice smelling.

On the drydown: Still get a very heavy lemon scent, the lavender has faded a bit into the background.

Dry: Scent stayed true from wet to dry, strong on lemon with lavender in the background.

I love both these scents alot and often use lavender at bedtime. This will definitely be a scent I use for sleep and probably one I will use in the summer as well. A very nice blend.

Temple of Dreams

For use when working with the many Gods of Sleep, Dreams, and Nightmares.

Eee! My first first review. I'm so excited! Right... I was particularly interested in these blends as my dreams are often...odd. I tried this one out last night, a sharp herbal scent in the bottle, this was a lot of rosemary and basil smelling things for the first ten minutes or so. Very calming, grounding and soothing in an organic way. A lemony note slowly crept in, and blessed of all blessed things, didn't over power the blend as lemon is wont to do on me. A nice little touch of a creamy citrus with the herbal blend.

This was very calming and very grounding. I felt steady and calm drifting off last. A definite keeper.

Somnus

Named after the Roman God of Sleep. This blend helps bring on deep, restful, natural sleep.

i have trouble falling asleep so i've been looking forward to receiving this one. it's much sharper than i expected. the only note my unskilled nose can detect is lavender. i'm pretty sure it's lavender, and that would make sense. there are other herbs involved, and it's almost soapy but in a very good way. it smells clean and unfettered. the scent warms up and spreads on drydown. i want to breath deeply of it. i'll try wearing it in bed tonight, and maybe i'll do a follow up if it actually helps me sleep. i'd love to have my sheets smell like this. it's lovely.

Baku

Our Nightmarebane. Named after the Baku, benevolent Japanese spirits that eat nightmares. In Japanese tradition, nightmares are gifts from malevolent spirits; when you wake up from one, you may call, "Baku, please eat my dreams!", and if you are virtuous and merciful in spirit, the Baku will devour the evil, transforming it into a blessing of good fortune.

Initial Impression

Smells like eucalyptus. I can tell that there are other scents in there besides the eucalyptus, but the astringent scent of it is overpowering the other scents.

Wearing It

This is odd. I wonder if there might be anise in here? Besides the eucalyptus, which dies down a lot once I apply it to my skin, there's a faint floral smell (jasmine) and this vague licorice smell. It's very faint, so those who don't like licorice might not even notice.

On the whole, it's really a pretty good scent. I'm always worried with any of the more magically charged scents (voodoo, etc.) that they'll have some awful note in them that I just can't stand. But this is really nice. Like Oneiroi, it's a relaxing scent. And after a couple of minutes, it fades to a really subtle scent, so even if I didn't like it I would hardly notice wearing it.

I'm going to wear this to bed tonight and see if the Baku will eat my nightmares. I'll update later with the results.

ETA: I've been using this for the past several nights, and have been applying it both to my pillow and to the tops of my hands. (The reason for the hands is because I tend to sleep with my hands balled up in fists and tucked right beneath my mouth/nose.)

It has been working brilliantly except for the one night when I did not apply it to my hands...and the areas of the pillow that I applied it to weren't where my nose happened to be most of that night. Besides that one night, I have had pretty regular dreams that have been easy to forget upon waking. (omg, yay!)

So my guess is that this works best when it is directly near the nose. Also, I think I'm allergic to it, since it tends to make me really congested. Pity, but I'll still use it since I prefer congestion to nightmares any night of the week.

Oneiroi

Created to invoke the ancient Greek deities of dreams. On the shores of the ocean, somewhere in the West, they dwell behind their gates of horn and ivory. Soporific, dark and unfathomable: a somnambular blend of deep lavender, white sandalwood, jasmine, bergamot and mugwort.

Inital Thoughts:
If Neil Gaiman's Sandman had a scent this would be it. I smell it and it invokes the colour midnight blue and silver. Sort of like Lush's Lavender Snowflower ballistic but not. The sandalwood and mugwort really stands out in my mind. It's a scent one would like to cuddle up I think. I can't way to test it out.

After Wearing it:
Have you guys ever smelled Johnson & Johnson's Lavender Baby Powder? Oneiroi smells exactly like that. It's very elusive as well...I smell Lavender as the prominent note but there's other layers that I can't quite get...mugwort is definitely strong. This scemt is very subtle and understated orginally I didn't think it was going to last but I would turn my head and get the faintest wiff of it. Like a memory....it's a very nice scent.
