    Dragon's Milk

I recently received a sample of this in a swap, and oh my. This is a warm sweet scent, but not overly foodie to my gourmand loving nose. It provided beautiful wafts during the day until around the 3ish hour mark when it settled to a nice airy vanilla skin scent. Even now at 12 hours post application, the vanilla is still clinging lightly to my wrists. This is not one you would wear when you wanted to demand attention, but I could see keeping a bottle around for the "I want to wear something comfy today" type of moods.

    The Witch Bride

I am slightly confused, but oddly still drawn to this creation. Admittedly, I am not familiar with a number of notes here so this is out of my comfort zone and I have no idea of what it is I'm picking out. This is most definitely a sheer white color invoking scent, but yet a hint of mystery remains from such an innocent seeming scent. On initial sniff, it is most certainly floral...and a floral that I am not accustomed to. I can not decided if I actually enjoy that particular opening or not. My immediate reaction is to recoil...but after a moment, it's not that bad? The confusion! As another user has mentioned, there is a hint of celery in there. Thank goodness someone else said it or I would have thought I was crazy! I am not a celery fan, but this is just a fleeting note, thankfully, because that could have been a disaster. After 30 minutes or so, this is becoming more lovely...okay, now I can do this. This is unique...unsuspecting and almost slightly cold. This is another addition to my collection that I will be setting back for a while to test again before I decide if I truly want to rehome her.

    Bast

A desert wind alight with myrrh and golden amber, cardamom and honey, bourbon vanilla and cacao. I recently acquired this bottle in a swap, and I can say I am pleased. I was a little unsure since most scents with any type of chocolate and I don't seem to get along. When I sniffed the bottle upon arrival, of course that was the first note that hit my nose and I was immediately going "Uh oh". But, I let this girl rest for a number of days before deciding it was time to try her out. I appreciate the sweetness of this scent though it isn't my typical gourmand sweet. This is a dark and sensual, last nibble before bed, sweet... Bast might be a bit dangerous in a wonderful way. I'm going to set this bottle aside for a while to see if perhaps with time she might gather a little more bite to her, but overall I am happy to have at least tried her.

    The Antikythera Mechanism

I was gifted a bit of this to try as I am slowly being introduced to this new rabbit hole. I am unfamiliar with the majority of scents here so I can not give any comparisons I'm afraid. With that being said, I love this more than I think I should. When I initially sniffed the vial, I was afraid this was going to be more of a scent for the hubby. But, as I'm sure we all do even when we're unsure, I skin tested it anyway! In the opening, I was still leaning to perhaps a -bit- too masculine for my tastes, but as it begun to settle in and latch onto my chemistry...oh wow. This is such a warm and comforting scent once it melds, this is the sweater scent you're looking for. I can say my first impression of BPAL is a winner. I'll be back for a bottle of this beauty, especially for cooler months.
