    The Crumpet Rebellion

When it first hits my skin, it's buttery crust, similar to Knave of Hearts. After a minute or two, the buttery crust moves into the background and it's sweet berries. I think it's blackberries, but I can't pick out what other kind of fruit. Unlike Knave of Hearts, this scent doesn't turn to dirt on my skin and keeps its fruit-y tart scent.

    Rose Red

Rose Red begins beautifully. It's rose, definitely, but honestly, this scent is more green on me than roses for the first half hour or so. Beth is a genius, because it really does smell like fresh cut stems. After half an hour, this settles into a lovely, full rose scent that blends beautifully with the green of fresh cut stems. Unfortunately, after an hour, this takes on a sharp note that smells almost metallic. Damn body chemistry.

    Macbeth and the Witches

I didn't think I was going to like this scent, but I was so very wrong. I smell ozone, mugwort, leather, and something that's probably steel. This is herbal, clean, and drop dead sexy. The dry down turns it into more of an herbal leather smell, but it's still amazing. This is definitely gender neutral.

    Sunrise With Sea-Monsters

Wet: Seafoam! and freesia. Dry: It's seafoam, freesia, and pear. This is a bright yellow scent -- attention getting, the kind of scent that would put you in a good mood after you put it on.

    Kiyohime Changes From a Serpent

This is such a hard scent to review because I don't know a lot of the notes. I definitely smell plum blossom, the salty ocean spray, and the green musk. Other than that, I don't know what the other notes smell like, but this is a sweet, aquatic floral that makes me think of days spent the ocean. It's a lovely scent for the spring and summer months.

    Love and Pain

Wet: I get the vanilla and something that I assume is golden copaifera, since I know it isn't the others. It's a sweet, unusual scent. Dry: I have vanilla, tobacco, black musk, and golden copaifera, in that order. I don't smell lavender at all, and it isn't particularly herbal on me. This is a sweet, musky, sensual scent. Really gorgeous, and it'd work on men or women.

    Madonna

Wet: I get hyssop, pomegranate, iris and orchid. It's a sweet, well blended scent. Dry: Hyssop, iris, and what I'm assuming is Angel's Trumpet since it's not iris or orchid. It also takes on a soft powder note during dry down. I loved the wet stage of this - truly gorgeous. Unfortunately, the powder note on dry down means I won't be getting a bottle. Stupid body chemistry.

    Monster Bait: Underpants

This is gorgeous. Wet: It's sweet vanilla and butter rum. It's not frosting sweet, but it's definitely on the foody side, and I spent several moments really wanting to lick my wrist. Dry: This is when the sandalwood comes out and the scent goes from comforting to sexy. This smells decadent.

    Mad Meg

This is a very heavy scent. I want to say that it's masculine, but it's more gender neutral leaning toward masculine. The vetiver, balsam, and cinnamon are the strongest for me, though the vetiver is the most powerful note by far. This is a dark scent, but one that I think would work better on a man.

Spirit of the Komachi Cherry Tree

Wet: this is cherry blossom, lilac, and with a little bit of pear. Dry: the sandalwood comes out with the cherry blossom and lilac. It's sweetish, but not as sweet as it was wet. This is a gorgeous, feminine scent.

    The Smiling Spider

Clove. Wet and dry, it's clove and black musk. If you like the smell of clove cigarettes (you know, the scent/taste that you lick off your lip when you smoke one) and want to smell like them, this is definitely the scent for you.

    Rose Moon

I love Beth's roses, and I was so excited by the thought of this moon. Unfortunately, my skin amps up the rose and it's all I can smell. On me, this scent is similar to London, but it turns powdery on the dry down, unlike London which holds its wet scent.

    Blue Moon 2007

In Bottle: Sweet and lightly floral. Wet: This is gorgeous. It's sweet and aquatic. I can definitely pick out the iris, ylang-ylang, moonflower, and what I assume is wood aloe. It smells clean and sweet and despite the fact that ylang-ylang is usually eye-watering strong on me, it plays nicely here. Weirdly enough, despite the florals, it doesn't strike me as a strictly floral scent. It's definitely more of a clean scent. Dry: It's aloe, tea, moonflower, and something kind of spicy. It dries close to the skin, but it's just gorgeous. Wow. I'm definitely picking up another bottle when it rises again.

    Thirteen (13): October 2006

Wet: Chocolate, bourbon geranium, amber, and mimosa. The combination of the scents gives it a cologne smell. It's not masculine, but the smell that men's cologne has that women's perfume doesn't have? That's what it smells like. Dry: It's chocolate, fig leaf, and star fruit. It's sweet, but it definitely isn't overly sweet. It's a comforting scent.

    Black Moon

I bought Black Moon on a whim, and I'm so glad I did. The scent doesn't morph at all on my skin. It smells the same four hours later as it did the second I put it on. I can smell the orchid and musk, and something that's kind of resinous. I'm not sure exactly what gives it that deep, calming scent -- honestly, I don't know over half of the scents in this -- but it's very soothing, and I'm definitely going to use this as a bedtime oil.
