Glowing Vulva at Ryogoku Bridge 2024

In the bottle: Creamy, smooth, almost buttery, with a powdery woodsy quality. On the skin: The powderiness is more pronounced on the skin, but its still very creamy and smooth. It’s still woodsy, but now with an additional greenness to it from the lotus, which thankfully is not going bubblegum. Its very elegant and perfume-y, and reminds me a lot of a vintage ladies’ scent. I will say that I expected it to be sweeter than it is. I think this is nice but I’m not sure if its for me.

    Pomegranate Ink

In the bottle: Very fruity, but not sweet, almost like an unsweetened powdered fruit punch. There’s also something dark and earthy in there (I would guess that that is the ink). On the skin: Its much less fruit punchy, and the earthy, dark, slightly metallic ink note is much more prominent. In fact, I’d say that this is mostly ink with some fruit in the background. I can see why people really like this combination and its very unique, but I don’t think its for me. I think I like the idea of the scent more than the scent itself.

    French Tickler

In the bottle: Same pomegranate note as the one in Pomegranate Ink that I think smells like powdered fruit punch, but its somehow both sweeter and more tart smelling. It’s not candy sweet at all, but there is something there that reminds me of Sweet Tarts candy. On the skin: This is gorgeous. The pomegranate is bright and punchy, but not too sweet at all. Its juicy and delicious. I can’t smell the peppercorn specifically, but I feel like its contributing to the brightness and crispness and preventing this from being too sweet. If something like Pomegranate Ink is Persephone in the underworld, this is Persephone as she returns to the surface and life springs from the ground around her. This is going to be wonderful for spring and summer when the weather is hot.
