    Kiseru

This is powdery and the red sandalwood makes it very oriental incense smelling. I’m not very impressed with this one unfortunately I loved the vanilla husk trio but I stupidly only got one bottle which is why I bought this one but it’s so powdery to be honest the powder just drowns out that vanilla husk and it just slowly morphs into a baby powder and oriental antique store on my skin.

    Black Wooden Goat

Very very buttery, wayyyy more buttery than I was expecting it reminds me of the fresh pumpkin note in the scream in your pumpkin patch but the drydown is tobacco heavy and it’s sweet and chewy and amazing I think it’s the tobacco from western bonneted bat which is my all time favorite. I don’t get much oak maybe it’s in the background somewhere and my nose just can’t tell but I’m okay with that. I’m pretty happy with this one.

    Pomegranate, Brown Sugar, and Tobacco

Immediately testing after ripping open the package like a gorilla, in the bottle it’s very dark fruity smell kind of like a super intense version of a cherry medicine. Then on the skin it settles to a sweeter mellower pomegranate, the same as the one from the pomegranate grove from a few years ago. I don’t really get any of the sweet chewy tobacco that I thought it would be but it’s still lovely if I smelt it without reading the label I’d think it was a pomegranate single note.

    Vanilla Wafers and Peach Cream

Incredibly sweet, the peach is syrup candy sweet, and even though it smells so cakey- like eat me in the bottle on the skin it immediately disappears or that peach just beats the wafer into submission and it’s left as just a super tooth achingly sweet candy peach smell, it reminds me of a slightly more expensive fruit hair shampoo you’d find in a grocery store not the cheap ones the higher priced ones that are more prominently placed on the shelves with a poster of a gorgeous actress with flowing shiny locks
  5. Love love love! It’s very soft and pretty the peach isn’t too sugary or candied. I can see the comparison to peach laundry detergent but I love it. It also has a depth to it on the dry down that keeps it from being too sweet (I think it’s the tea) which also makes it kind of snuggly and cozy this is the perfect smell for a homebody that likes to cuddle up inside with fuzzy socks

    Partridges in the Snow

The chestnut is easily the strongest and loudest note, which takes the overall scent a little more gourmand-esque then I thought it would. But it’s a very nice soft, fuzzy, resinous smell. Kind of similar to Sarah the mother bear + a foody nutty edge from the chestnut. It’s very evocative of the color brown, earthy and a little sweet, very nice.

    Marshmallow Snow

Amazing! It’s very generic coniferous tree smelling with heavy dusting of powdered sugar and hint of creamy vanilla. Although it doesn’t quite match what I thought it would smell like, I love it. It’s very soft and sweet with pretty pretty trees at the forefront.

Skin Musk, Cream & Honey Dust

I had in mind that this was going to be a really gentle your skin but better scent that had a hint of sweetness but I was wrong. On me it’s a very heavy gourmand, I like gourmands but it was just a lot more intense than I thought it was going to be. It was very warm pastry and sugar smelling, with an incredible likeness to a maple donut. Overall I think this is a startling but not unwelcome surprise.

When your favorite GC blends are discontinued

Does anyone know of an equivalent for White Rabbit? I’ve never gotten the chance to smell it, its been out of stock for the short amount of time I’ve been collecting bpal but I’m desperate to try it or something similar at least

    Blueberry Sufganiyot

I really love it, however there is a weird hour period in after it’s dried that kind of smells like grape but, wet it’s sweet blueberry jam and then after that initial hour the dry down is a stunning custardy-sugary-berry blob that kind of makes me hungry

    Obatala

In the bottle it’s amazing fleshy coconut and milk but on the skin it’s not quite as nice. The first sniff is kind of like sour milk but then settles in a much nicer (but not as nice as in the bottle) light, waxy, like your skin but better smell. I think I’m going to use my scent locket for this one...

    The Stormhold

I really like it, but it’s way different than I thought. It starts out being super Irish spring but then settles into a very masculine, kind of musty man scent which doesn’t sound all that nice but I like how evocative it is of the stormhold and it would be amazing in a candle...

    Honey Snowballs

This was a lot more floral-y than I thought, I get no snow, just a pretty floral honey and I think it will be amazing to layer with other oils.

    Blackcurrant Sufganiyot

I was a little sad about this one, I had pretty high expectations of it because I adore jam scents but on my skin it smells almost exactly like eat me which isn’t bad, I love eat me but it’s just not that ultimate jam scent I was so hoping for.

    Cheshire Cat

I’ve tried Cheshire Cat both fresh and aged a few years (in an imp) and while I think both are nice, I definitely prefer fresh over aged. The initial scent is always a hit of grapefruit but the aged version smells like a drier less refreshing grapefruit more like a sundried grapefruit... if that exists... however while I love the first hour of wear for both versions but afterwards my skin just rejects it, the beautiful citrus turns into a rancid almost vanilla-ish smell but not a good vanilla, a weird warped rotten vanilla... so sad.
