    Schönperchten

wet: I smell everything in my decant that's listed in the description--lavender, bourbon vanilla, kinda minty, and amber dry: An hr later, I catch mostly amber with a hint of vanilla. I'm only getting a slight powdery note which has disappeared now that it's been 1.5 hrs since application and I can't find lavender! Nor mint! I'm so intrigued that my skin chemistry's so different. The amber that has my heart in recent times is Amber & Lace so if I'm buying something amber heavy, it won't be this 😕 Medium throw.
  2. [No description given.] Juicy peach, red currant, and black tea! Not too heavy, and more of a canned or cooked peach than fresh peaches. I wasn't sure how I felt about currants but I love it so much in this scent The black tea helps to ground this HG from being like something I may have bought from Bath & Body Works as a teenager. Half considering getting a 2nd bottle if I ever see it being sold by forumites or on the Etsy shop! Throw is sort of low to medium. I don't smell it too much on my hair half a day later.
  3. This is SO good. It smells like some kind of yellow angel cake doused in honey When I shampoo, I focus on my roots so I don't dry out the ends of my long hair (reaches past my bra), but unlike other HGs, I can smell this on my hair when I'm washing my hair the next day or even the day after! I'm using my usual 4 spritzes of HG too. Pretty amazing longevity with moderate throw. I'd love to buy another bottle of this but I have too many HGs now :'(

    Cancer 2016

I'm not sure if my skin chemistry is wonky --just on the day before shark week begins for me and sadly, I don't know which specific day it will start. Thus I'll update my review after re-testing Cancer 2016 a few days later. Wet: Violet, sandalwood, and star jasmine. Oh and here's the mugwort and cucumber! This smells just like mugwort, which I recognize since my mom had occasionally burned dried mugwort for the smoke to help heal a wound or something? I can't remember what she was trying to alleviate but the smell has definitely stuck in my mind and this is exactly it without the smokiness of course. Dry: Sadly I'm no longer getting the mugwort, not even the cucumber (an hour later). It's all violet, a little bit of star jasmine and a hint of sandalwood. Violet is not my thing, so I'm hoping this is due to my skin chemistry being wonky and it's just eating the other notes cause I want all the notes listed! Overall, this is def a scent for all the violet fans!

    Yakumo No Chigiri Bath Oil

Mmm bright honeyed green apples with some 'earthiness' from the green tea, and juniper adds another facet of brightness to this bath oil! I applied it to dry skin as a moisturizer.

    Fluttering Peonies Bath Oil

Peonies and peach and sweetness from the honey and vanilla I've only got a hint of carnation which I'm pleased about. I only have a half bottle of this but if I weren't low on funds I'd probably splurge on a full bottle for this! I applied this to dry skin as a moisturizer.

    Scattered Flower-Smells Hair Gloss

Wonderful florals and ylang ylang! I think I'll be able to identify linden blossom once I get my decant of Cottonmouth. This is perfect for any type of situation, especially in a professional setting. This is very comforting and an excellent spring HG!

    Alice Hair Gloss

Mmm spicy creamy floral Alice goodness. It's like the perfume oil with the carnation slightly nudged up. I used my decant of this a lot during the winter time but now that it's much warmer, I'm not really feeling Alice in all her forms. I'll wait to bust her out again when November rolls around (omg that's less than half a yr away?! which is both good and bad haha) I apply Alice HG to wet hair and upon drying, carnation kicks ahead of the pack

    Snake Oil Hair Gloss

Compared to my aged imp of Snake Oil (sadly idk how old it is), this is slightly spicier and not quite as smooth. However, I haven't even had my bottle for a month yet so we'll see how it fares in the near future. Nonetheless, this is Snake Oil and smells wonderful as is! Thankfully it's nothing like how my bottle smelled like on me when I got it fresh from the lab I spritzed 5 sprays into my hand and applied to wet hair! Fyi my hair reaches nearly the end of my sternum. This lasts for a long time. I could even smell it faintly in my hair the next morning! Wowza

    Enveloped in Silk Hair Gloss

When I first tried this, possibly due to the heat, I was picking up more of a plastic smell like LizziesLuck. But I stuck it and my other newly acquired BPTP bottles into my 'cellar' and today I re-tested it. I spritzed onto my hands and applied to wet hair. Initially I was only picking out sweet sugary strawberry cream. However, I immediately began to get the juicy strawberry smells people mentioned in earlier reviews in addition to strawberry cream. 3 hrs later, it's kind of faint or maybe my nose has gotten used to it. I'm now getting a faint strawberry cream and I'm not sure if I'm identifying the orris root and white musk, but something is definitely balancing out the strawberry cream and preventing it from being cloying. I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this blind, but I figured it'd be easy to send this off to another home. However, I'm really happy with this scent and this is very much a keeper!

    Womb Furie

I remembered reading someone posting in the compliments thread regarding Womb Furie, and when I saw it in the Luper 2016 lineup, I knew I had to get a bottle! To be frank, I'm not a big fan of my new bottle of Snake Oil, it smells like leather more than my older Snake Oil imp that smells decadent and well-blended. But oh my god, no wonder that forumite got a compliment on Womb Furie! This. Is. Magical! I'm not overexaggerating! And despite the addition of 3 honeys to Snake Oil, this doesn't smell foodie at all! I'm not turned off by foodie scents but they can get distracting. However, Womb Furie is all innocently sensual. I can't even imagine how gorgeous this will smell aged when I like it fresh! This is in my top picks if I needed a scent to entice someone to get closer to me . Wow I can't stop smelling my wrist hahahaha I smell so delicious and I definitely need a backup bottle of Womb Furie!

    The Large Harem

So I had the wonderful fortune of testing this while in the heat of my monthly woes to compare this to now, when it's pretty much over. When my hormones were wacky, my decant amped cedar and something minty like no one's business and I was upset to not smell anything else even when it dried (30 mins later). I was very distraught and confused since the earlier reviewers weren't getting any cedar at all and wondered if this was either mislabeled or there was something wrong with my batch haha. Now when I'm (just about) back to normal, on my skin I get damask rose, cedar, and lychee, in order of what's strongest. After smelling cedar amped like crazy the other day, I can definitely pick out the cedar. 15 mins later: I'm getting damask rose, lychee & honey---which made this one of my top anticipated Luper 2016 scents, and cedar faintly in the background. 22 mins later: OH I see now. The cedar now is just about gone and it's hard to differentiate it from the combo duo of lychee & carnation. OMG I love love love love love love this. I was aware that hormonal changes (like menopause) could really change how Beth's perfumes could smell on you, but this was my first time experiencing this for myself aka during my monthly woes. At least I now know not to wear The Large Harem during the initial days of my monthly suffering. Heck, I may even stick to wearing purely HGs rather than tempt fate when my hormones are so wacko! I will be getting a bottle of this!!!!

    Geisha in a Green Kimono

Wet: mandarin, tea, and bergamot. It's almost effervescent but it's a bright citrus scent. Dry (1hr later): green musk, a hint of bergamot, and none of the citrus now. It's nice but I probably won't wear this too much. Thankfully the musk isn't soapy, but sadly, not what I was looking for --off to swaps or sell.
  14. Wet: Dark chocolate, vanilla, and vetiver! Dry (40 mins later): The dark chocolate has faded a tad to allow the other notes to come out. The vetiver is a great base for the dark chocolate and champaca. (55 mins later) I wasn't getting too much vanilla before but now I can pick up on it. This has great throw and it's very intriguing. I'll probably use up my decant when I'm popping outside to run errands

Raw Cacao, Chestnut, Honey, and Patchouli

Just like Celrynnya said above, this is dark and earthy yet sweet. The raw cacao fades upon drying and I still smell the other notes of the blend. Very intriguing and beautiful scent but I'm not sure I'd actually wear this out.
