I live with 3 Westies and 1 cat; all except one are rescues (my first Westie, Abbie: she was a present -- in the form of a 'gift certificate' -- which I redeemed in early 1999). I love Rachel Maddow, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, and enjoy watching The Ed Schultz Show and The Last Word with Laurence O'Donnell. If my cable company carried the Current Channel, I'd still be watching Countdown with Keith Olbermann. I've been a Liberal since before Reagan tried to claim catsup was a vegetable for school lunch program purposes. Notice I said "Liberal," not Democrat. Though I usually vote for Democratic candidates, I think both parties are 2 sides of the same coin. I believe Al Gore won the 2000 election, and I greatly admire Dr. Howard Dean, whom I believe is responsible for the Democratic victories in 2008 and 2010. I also believe fanaticism or fundamentalism of any kind is dangerous. And I believe there is no such thing as a bad dog or cat, only those who have been mistreated or misunderstood. :)
