    Intrigue

I haven't gotten around to reviewing a few scents since they've been aging in my wooden apothecary box for a couple of years. I thought it was about time! I either ordered this or got it as a frimp (can't remember) between 2005-2008. This has held up pretty well over the years and has mellowed and aged nicely. In the imp: Dark chocolate and what smells like vetiver and teak wood. Wet: It smells like mild smokey vetiver mingled with cocoa-dusted ripe figs. It has an almost chewy texture, with a faint berry note that is akin to blackberry. I also smell something similar to cedarwood in the background. Drydown: The cocoa has died down and now there is a ripe fig note that is hovering over a soft, dusty wood and musk base. There is a slight oiliness (probably from the palm).I also detect something that is similar to frankincense but it is faint. An overall great scent!

    Whip

I've had this one aging in my wooden oil box for almost a year. In the imp: It smells like a fresh cut tea rose. The green of the stem comes out.I don't smell the leather yet. Wet: The rose scent lingers on my skin going back and forth between strong and subtle for a minute and then suddenly the leather comes out with a sharp bite. After 5 minutes the rose and leather starts to blend nicely. They don't overpower each other. Dry-down: After 1-4 hours of sniffing, it switches over to mostly rose with the leather barely lingering in the background. Overall: This one reminds me of The Rose only with leather. It's like The Rose's naughty sister.I get a mental image of a woman in a long black leather coat wearing rose perfume. It lasted for hours on my skin and like the others that posted said, it has a nice throw.I'm particular when it comes to rose based scents and this one is really good.

I want a BPAL that smells like Bath & Body Works...

Kumihosmells exactly like B&BW White Tea & Ginger also.

    Machu Picchu

This doesn't smell really fruity to me.It has a good balance of fruit, flowers, green, and woodsy/smokey.The fruit in it almost smells like cherry Sucrets in a good way but without the numbing agent lol.I'd say it kind of smells like passionfruit. The floral notes are light and are almost similar to those in Midnight. Then theres a wet, almost dewy scent like rain on leaves. You can also smell something similar to aloe but almost like green tea. When it dried down after 2 hrs, it smelled like green tea to me.After a couple hours, everything blended together and the wood notes tied in nicely. From start to finish it's like walking into a jungle and admiring the scenery in stages until finally winding down to the forest floor through the duration of wearing. It's a nice scent.

    Les Fleurs du Mal

I agree.I'm a little disappointed because I really like lilac but the rose and wisteria just drown it out. This perfume has a very strong floral scent which doesn't mix with me, it literally gives me a headache when wearing it. It's been a couple hours since i applied it, and I didn't apply that much and it's still going strong. All in all, it's not horrible, but it's not for me.

    Debauchery

Wow ok. I WAS thinking of buying this scent but now I don't think so. From everyone's reviews, it sounds like this scent smell's like old ladies in a nursing home, cat pee and feces. No thanks. I think if I wanna smell like sh!t, I'd much rather not bathe for a week, and I don't think that's gonna happen.Hooray for reviews!? >.> O.o

    The Hesperides

BOTTLE:HOLY MACKERAL!!! APPLES GALORE! It smells like the core of the apple, not the flesh. I smell nothing else but apple. It's a real apple smell too, not fake. ON WET:Still smells like apples, only not so strong anymore. It smells so good i could eat it . DRYING DOWN : The dry down doesnt take but 5 minutes for me.The apples are faint now. There's another smell that's hiding, can't tell what it is.Wait! Here it is. It smells like faint florals and herbs and that oak bark is hiding waaay in the background.I also smell some leaves. I'm not a big fan of fruity smelling scents as they turn sickening sweet on me, BUT, this one isn't doing that. It's a good scent. I wouldn't say I'd buy a 5ml bottle of it but this is good for once in awhile wear. Good scent for end of summer- early fall. ^^

    Vice

This is an odd one. I got it as a freebie with my BPAL order. IN THE BOTTLE: It smells like very strong lemon poppyseed muffins drizzled with strong cherry liquor. GOING ON WET : Still smells like lemon poppyseed muffins then changes to an orangy smell fast with maraschino cherry smell. DRYING DOWN : Kinda smells like cherry tobacco before its smoked. It also smells like the candy stand you see at a farmers market/auction. Which i LOVE btw, reminds me of being a child and going with my dad to the local farmer's market. If only......an oil could be made that smells like the entire farmer's market.Smoked meats, tobacco, candy, florals and herbs, and woods. *sigh* ANYways lol.i have yet to smell the chocolate in this one. Then again, I've only been wearing this for about an hour so far so we shall see how this goes. I wouldn't mind buying a 5ml bottle of this sometime! ^^

    Dragon's Eye

I loooove this scent, then again, I LOVE lilac . I agree with Storme on this one of the wet to dry transitions. The scent reminds me of the lilac bushes and wild lily of the valley that grows around my grandmom's house.Tis a keeper.
