    Loup Garou

The wild, untamed essence of lycanthropy. Primeval in its raw power and insatiable hunger: juniper, cypress and galangal with the barest touch of eucalyptus. At first, it has a strong resin scent, very pine and juniper. Almost too strong, but I want to see where it goes.. On the drydown, it retains that resin scent, but somehow turns into something like black pepper and tea, with the slightest hint of the woody scents. Wikipedia says galangal can smell like ginger and I think that's what I'm picking up. I reckon the eucalyptus is in there somewhere as well. And now, nearly an hour after application, it has turned back to the woody scents. This was a freebie and I like it.. makes me smell like ginger! yum

    Voodoo Lily

In the bottle, it smells citrusy to me. Wet and as it dries down, it turns more spicy, still citrusy. An hour after application, it has toned down a bit and it more floral, but I can't tell if it's lily or not. Though, that may be because I'm not 100% sure what lily smells like. I went out on a limb buying this and I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised. Spicy scents are safe bets for me and I usually stay far away from florals, but thankfully this isn't too floral and the blend of citrus and spice notes really appeals to me. I think I might even be tempted to buy this in a bottle! eta: I thought this was fading at the hour mark, but at 2 hours I can still smell it.. Did it become stronger? I think what I'm smelling now is that creamy lily scent mentioned above. This is nice, definitely a keeper.

    Aureus

Somehow I don't get patchouli or sandalwood at all, but it may require more sniffings. (I'm not currently wearing it nor do I have the bottle with me--shall edit later) I wore it the other day and the most prominent scents I remember are cedar and resin, not exactly what I was expecting. Somehow I expected something a bit more buoyant and light, not the medium heaviness of the resin scents. However, I can see this scent growing on me. It's so unusual and I'm actually surprised my friends didn't mention anything about the other day--I feel certain that it was strong enough for them to smell it. I guess I'd have to give this 4/5 stars because of the fact that it didn't smell like what I expected, but I still like the scent. This one will need some time with me.

    Jolly Roger

In the bottle, it smells kind of sweet to me, but not overpoweringly so. I suppose it's the Bay Rum I'm picking up? Wet/on for a few minutes it smells very salty. There's also an unidentifiable scent: when you first start to sniff, it smells like wax, then as you breathe in more deeply, it turns to a musky smell. Is this the leather? 2 hours after application, it's still there, but faint. It's a bit more floral now and still salty, but that musky, waxy scent has gone. It actually smells a bit delicate. I'm not crazy about the musky scent, but overall Jolly Roger is intriguing enough for me to keep on using it. It's just such a different scent than I am used to, and that's a good thing.

I really don't like this--far too sweet and fruity for my taste. it overpowers everything, so I haven't even tried it on yet. doubt I ever will.

    Fire of Love

I need to wear this more to see what scents I pick out, but for now, all I can say is that it works! I got my little imp in the mail yesterday, which just happened to be the first day that I saw 'the boy' after we broke up last week. (really long story) It's true that there might have been the same results if I hadn't worn the perfume, but I did wear it and its intended consequence came to pass. (and it was quite good) It felt quite warm and I loved the scent. This one seems quite easy to accidentally put on too much, so be careful!

    Harlot

I received this as a frimp and.... yuck! I can't stand heavy rose scents and all I could think was that it smelled like a cheap rose perfume a prostitute might wear. I'm definitely not a 'floral' person.
  8. Oooo, lucky! I never got to try one of those. Any idea what's in it? Here's the listing for it. Too bad they no longer have a photo of it. I'm actually surprised I love it so much because it's got roses in it. (not a rose fan) I think must be the ylang ylang I love so much.
  9. I recently bought a Kiss Me Klimpt ballistic from someone and I'm in love. It smells very expensive and golden, yet refined, more Princess Grace than Paris Hilton. It makes me think of Coco Chanel perfume, but without the tinge of alcohol. Any suggestions for a similar scent?

    Lady MacBeth

The essence of ambition, covetousness and manipulation: sweet Bordeaux wine, blood red currant, thyme and wild berries. When I first got it, I really did not like the scent. I didn't realize I'd get something so very sweet and fruity. I think I even thought it smelled waxy. I've had a slight change of heart since then. I don't wear this one often (I'm more of a woodsy/spicy person). I choose to wear it on days that I'm feeling particularly bright and cheery and it makes me feel even more so. Good things about the scent: 1) my boyfriend said that he wanted to eat me because I smelled so sweet (ha!) 2) I put this on at 11.30 am and it's now 12.47 am and I can STILL smell it.

I bought this scent for the description.. Mexican chocolate, wine, and blood. When I first open the bottle, I immediately smell ripe red fruits. When I apply it to my skin, I feel and smell the sensual dark chocolate, with a hint of something darkly spicy. After it dries a bit, there's more of a light spice and fruit scent, but you can still detect the chocolate. It's a lovely, complex mix. Of all of the BPAL scents that I have (only in imp form), this is my absolute favorite. What's great is that my boyfriend loves it too. We both find it to be a very sensual scent. Whenever I wear it, his nose keeps relocating to my neck, which is not a bad thing!
