    Sugar Skull

Version 2015 I didn't really get any candied fruit from this. To me it smelled predominately of brown sugar both in the vial and on my skin. It got a little more of a caramelized/ smokey smell once it dried on me.

    Apple V

In the vial: Wow, apple! Beautiful red apple. Wet: The apple has calmed down once it hits my skin and now I can smell the tiare. Very pretty so far. I can smell the coconut now as well and it is a nice soft coconut, but not suntan lotion coconut. Dry: The apple has settled into a faint wisp in the background on me. This is mostly just coconut now with the other notes mixing and mingling in the background. Overall: While the coconut is the most prominent in the end all the other notes mixed together beautifully with it. While I do like this, I don't really see myself wearing it all that often. I think my sister might like this better as she likes those soft, playful tropical scents.

    The Witches

In the vial: Creamy vanilla and pumpkin, but mostly sugary vanilla. Wet: Pretty much the same. Sweet soft vanilla and gorgeous pumpkin. Can't really detect the honey yet, but the smokey vanilla is starting to emerge. Dry: Hmm, the pumpkin has disappeared from this and now I just smell the smokey vanilla tempered by the softer vanilla. The honey has definitely made its presence known, but luckily it hasn't gone baby powder on me. The honey smells like my favorite orange blossom honey which I am loving with the soft spicey vanilla mix. Overall: very glad the honey note didn't go its normal route of overpowering powder. I really like the final stage, but wish the pumpkin had stayed around. It lasted quite a few hours, but it sticks very close to the skin. I think I might just get a bottle of this 'cause I do really like the vanilla in this.

    Masquerade

I really wanted to love Masquerade, but it seems me and carnation disagree. First sniff I could faintly smell carnation/spice and nothing else. Upon applying it I smelled fresh cut carnations and again that was about it. I was hoping it would morph, but it did not. I think just before I washed it off I got a whiff of orange, but not the amount I wanted. Sadly this will be swapped, carnation is probably one of my least liked flowers. I wish the orange would have been more present as orange blossom is one of my comfort scents. You win some you lose some I guess.

    Jareth

In the bottle I smell spicey wood and a hint of tonka, which is pretty much what I get while it's wet. Once it dries I get a bit of spicey smokey wood with the perfect amount of vanilla from the tonka. The leather starts coming through and has a very smooth scent to it that I love. The lilac fougere is amazing (it was the one element in Jareth I was worried about) and seems to tease through the rest of the scents and makes me love Jareth that much more. I feared it might be too masculine, but I think it will work for any gender. About the only disappointing aspect of Jareth was the fact that it stuck pretty close to my skin (though I could still smell it twelve hours later as long as my nose was pressed close to my skin). Definitely my favorite scent from BPAL thus far

    Hermia

In the Imp: Amber with a bit of spiceness and perhaps a hint of passion flower. Wet: I can still smell the amber, but the pink pepper has mixed with it and made it a gorgeous spicy scent that I love. It's tempered a little by the passion flower and I can smell the Honeysuckle, but it is very faint. Dry: I'm smelling the spicy pink amber with a bit of a floral touch to it. The passion flower doesn't smell as passiony as it did in the wet stage and the honeysuckle has pretty much faded away. It lasted through my whole shift at work (7 hours) but towards the end it started to stick closer to the skin. Verdict: This is a very pretty scent with enough kick to take you on. I love this scent and will be buying a bottle of it in my next order. I really enjoy the spicey amber with just a little of the softness provided by the florals.

    Dana O'Shee

In the imp: Reminds me of one of my favorite bodywash. I'm getting an almond and cherry blossom scent, which I love. Wet: The cherry scent fades and now I smell marzipan and honey. Not bad. Dry: It's not very strong and someone would have to get up close and personal to get a good whiff of it. I really like it once it's had some time to settle. Definitely has a great milk, honey and grain scent to it that I'm lovin'. I'm undecided on whether I should by this in a bottle. It sticks a little too close to the skin and I'm not sure it's worth slathering more on every time I think it's fading. Maybe I'll test it out in a lotion and see if that helps.
