    Femme Fatale Scents

Debauchery is my favorite in this category: civet, red Egyptian musk and opium.
  2. Mountaingrrl00

Pomegranate, Wild Plum, and Green Tea

Wonderfully juicy in the vial and on initial application. It is mouthwateringly tart on the surface, but with enough bitter, earthy and powdery complexity to avoid reading as sweetarts. I get the tannins from the dark fruits, and a cloud of dry green tea that's part hay, part fancy soap. The soap/powder facet dies down quickly, and becomes more of a musky underpinning. I love the combination of these notes. It's a very fresh take on clean and fruity. A definite wrist-huffer that keeps getting better on the skin.
  3. Mountaingrrl00

    Pomegranate Ink

Pomegranate with a strength behind it, like a less-smoky vetiver or maybe an aged patchouli. I love the dry-down, which brings out a rich honey undertone.
  4. Mountaingrrl00

    A Little Silver Scimitar

"Incisive" really fits well! The fir needle is at the forefront, while the other notes meld in the background. I was worried when reviews described it as aquatic, but it's not cologne-like; the ambergris lends a muskiness that lingers. Bright yet complex.
  5. Mountaingrrl00

    Batty Lace

I don't get the leather or musk, but I do get Antique Lace with extra gourmand vanilla. .

Would you like a scarf? If so, colors, length, iwide or skinny? Bulky yarn or thin and slinky?? How about some dishcloths, for the kitchen? Or spa cloths for the bathroom? If so, which? Any particular colors?? No, thank you -- my mother is an avid knitter and I have more knitted things than I can use. Would you like any of Cat Coven's Halloween goods? It's her original artwork based on medieval art. (It's a limited edition of everything, so hopefully things aren't sold out yet.) The fairy folk pillowcase if Cat Coven makes more. Waist length, silver/white, for one pony tail. -During my recent travels I got to experience the incredible delight of Serge Luten perfumers here in Paris (imagine if the Lab and Anna Sui made babies inside a Cadbury Cream Egg decorated with stained glass windows and...you've come close to the experience of being in that shop). Cherry Red

Smells just like the way that color makes me feel. It's a playful, bold, happy scent, sweet and very cherry. There's a tinge of marzipan, a twist of musk, and a comforting sweetness. I'm judicious with my bottle purchases but this definitely qualifies. It's so cheery!

And would you enjoy spooky stationary? A small notepad or post-its would be welcome. I know a lot of us are witchy and have deeply held beliefs about the materials we use as part of our practice. If you're one of those individuals, are there certain herbs, crystals, etc that you do not want to receive? Just keep it ethical. If in doubt, feel free to reach out or have a Nacho Witch ask me. When you have a distinct preference for one holiday over another, What are some cross over items that actually work for both? Seasonal fruits, sweets. Sure, I like a lot of the fabrics with cats. If you are a yarnie, are you interested in a ceramic yarn bowl? I have an extra Harry Potter (I know, I know) one from Lennymud that I bought before the whole JKR debacle and it didn't profit her in any form anyway. I believe it's Gryffindor themed. How about blueberry zucchini bread with a lemon glaze? Mmm, pumpkin bread. I make specialty simple syrups. You can use them in teas or cocktails (and desserts). How do you feel about a Hibiscus simple syrup? I use 2 ounce bottles for these so its just a fun amount. That sounds delicious! Tea: I have a morning coffee habit, so don't have any more caffeine-space for tea. But herbal tisanes are welcome. I prefer bagged. Tights: Sure, warm ones will help with Wisconsin winters. Size L. Would you like to receive a 2D collage art piece? What overall vibe would you be into? (spooky, autumnal, whimsical, eerie, lovely, occult, bizarre, smutty etc.?) Maybe, if you felt you could do something that speaks to me. Lovely, whimsical, autumnal, bizarre are all possibilities. - Do you like rocks/gemstone jewelry? Nothing too complicated or involved. Do you have any interest in trying my infused moonshine whiskey? I've been thinking of experimenting with autumn spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, clove) and maybe a chocolate chai. Nondrinker here, and it doesn't sound like something I could cook with, so no on this. Any interest in spooky shape wax melts in your favorite candle scents? (What are your favorite candle scents?) That sounds fun. Citrus essential oils would be awesome. How about lotion bars? I like anklets and crew length. There are lots of novelty prints I like there. The bamboo looks nice too. New Q: I have been buying soap from https://rockytopsoap.com for at least a decade as they are unscented and less likely to affect which perfume I pull out.... I realize they are not colored and swirly and as pretty but they tend to be super hydrating and luxurious. Do you have any interest in these? Maybe a small one? Wanton Airs, Bodiless Airs

Mouthwatering in the vial and wet on my skin. Cognac predominates, with the aromatic bergamot offering more citrus dimension. The oud is subtle and well-blended, lending a slight earthiness. This manages to be fresh and rich at the same time. I love the lab's cognac note, and it really shines in this setting. I could see this becoming a favorite.

    Honey and Beeswax scents

Thanks! Those both sound promising. :-)

    Honey and Beeswax scents

I'm on the lookout for honey-patchouli combos.

    The Sheepfold, Moonlight

This starts out with a sharp, pungent blast of green, ozone-like cologne -- if it's hay, it's new-mown and mixed with the fuel from the lawnmower. I was worried I would get a headache and have to wash it off, but it settled down pretty quickly. Dried down, it's Cafe Au Lait and a Wool Blanket but with a soft, saffron-like hay in place of the coffee. It turns out to be a lovely, subtle skin scent, warm without being heavy. I think this will be nice for summer and for layering.

    Cypress, Patchouli, and Mud

I was really excited about this one, and it lives up to my dreams! It encapsulates the richness and liveliness of river mud and shady evergreens. I get the impression of a cool morning, dew beading on the grass. The cypress is a little sharp at first, and becomes sweetly aromatic as it warms up on my wrists. The drydown combo is to die for - rich and earthy, clean and uplifting, almost edible to this dirt-loving nose. It reminds me of my old BPAL favorite Ace of Pentacles and might even surpass it in my affections. Fans of Luperci, Graveyard Dirt and Zombi will probably love this.

Rose Absolute, White Sandalwood, and Orris Butter

This starts out quite sharp, like a dry, old-fashioned rose soap. White rose at that. As it warms on my skin, it takes on a softer, woody incense tone, while remaining powdery and rosy. This is a very pretty, uncomplicated scent I could see wearing to feel clean and polished on a hot day. I think this could layer well with deeper or sweeter scents as well. Two months later, this has become an absolute favorite! It no longer reads soapy, but has a tangy, tart-fruit dimension I love.

    Noisy Goose Moon 2022

Is anyone else getting pink bubblegum from this? It's definitely there for me! It also reminds me quite a bit of Aunt Caroline's Joy Mojo. And layers upon layers of sugar - whipped sugar, caramelized sugar, fermented sugar, fruit sugar. The banana is a great twist, especially before this scent dries down. As someone who amps cinnamon, I was worried about the spice, but it's pretty subtle this time -- I think the frankincense tames it quite a bit. This is a very fun gourmand; a kid could wear this.
