    Autumn Cider Hair Gloss

I have Autumn Cider 2011 and 2014, so I was very excited when the hairgloss version was released. I've got all three on right now to test! I don't really get much apple out of the hairgloss; the hairgloss is much more of the butterscotch boozy scent. Definitely in the same family of scents, but not the same. It's not what I was expecting, but I'm still enjoying it.

    Gaudium

I really like the other bath oil that I have, so I've been interested in trying some others. This, unfortunately, does not work for me; it's 100% bug repellant. I might hang on to it this summer and see if it actually works to repel bugs.

    Pink Moon 2017

I really want to like this, but honey is not my friend. I think the floral-vanilla would be lovely if the honey weren't going strange on me.

    The Smithfield Ghost

It took me a little while to work out what I think about this. I have really enjoyed citrus and rose in other scents, and this is a little similar but softer and muted. I get a lot of the neroli. It's very pretty, and reminds me of the Crimson Peak scents in that while it's lovely there's something a little unsettling about it.

    Autumn Cider

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this one yet. It's been my go-to October scent the past few years. It's delicious and makes me happy. On me it's spicy apple with a hint of citrus; I don't get much booze. I have the 2011 and 2014 versions: the 2014 goes on darker and spicier than the 2011, but they end up pretty much the same on the dry down. The cinnamon is the kind that burns (especially when applied right out of the shower), so I often just put it in my hair.

This came as a frimp, and I was a little hesitant to try it as honey doesn't get along well with my skin. When I first put it on, it was all CARNATION for about 30 minutes and then it vanished entirely. I couldn't find the spot where I put it on my wrist, even with my nose right against the skin. Very odd.

    Comparison of Celebrated Beauties

I was slightly nervous about ordering this when I saw reviews mentioning cherry almond, as that hasn't worked out well for me before. Fortunately I get a nutty almond: all almond at first, then the vanilla appears, and finally a kick of fruitiness. It puts me a little in mind of tarta de santiago, which I then made the day this arrived.

The firs time I tried this it went all pine-y on me and I hated it. I tried it several weeks later and it was very pretty- floral and amber. I couldn't believe it was the same scent! I think the problem was a time-of-month thing. I decided not to keep it as I have enough scents that work on me without having to worry about the time, and I passed it off to a friend who doesn't experience my problems with it! It's very lovely with the right chemistry.

    Anubis

This was a free imp in my last order- it's definitely not something I'd have picked for myself as I haven't liked myrrh in other blends and I've had herbs go funny on me. Honey and I also don't get along, and several other reviews have mentioned a honey-like note. But this is beautiful: rich without being heavy, an almost fruity sweetness, very serene.

    Ravenous

I'd put this in a pile to pass on, but as I was sorting through the pile this one called to me. It starts out with a very juicy orange that I really like, and then the patchouli creeps in and the whole thing turns spicy and dark before ending up a creamy-vanilla-y-orange. I get a pretty good throw with this, and it seems to last, which I really appreciate as lately I've been feeling like my skin is eating everything I put on! Ultimately I don't know that I love it, but I'm going to hang on to it for now.
