    Harlot

It never ceases to amaze me reading reviews how the same oil can be so different on/to so many people! This was almost all cinnamon to me (which I love). Within a few minutes of putting it on, my skin started to burn where it was applied. However, I was patient and and the heat and the redness went away after probably ten minutes. I'm glad I stuck it out! This oil has some definite staying power. It dried down enough that I could finally smell the rose. This is a delicious scent! I'm glad I was able to buy a 5ml from someone off the LHC boards.

    Wanton

This scent is very incensy and reminded me very much of the Catholic masses of my childhood when the priest would break out the incense. It's got a lot of staying power (which I love). A keeper!

    Amsterdam

This is a beautiful scent! Pure, dewey tulips. That was the drydown for me anyway. When I initially put it on, I could also smell the grass. And although it wasn't mentioned in the description, when it was wet I could swear I smelled Lily of the Valley. Weird.

    Burial

Boy, I'm definitely not getting rose of any sort off of this. I agree with hypothermya that Burial definitely has a bitter smell to it in the bottle. Once I got it on and it dried down, however, it smelled a lot like Aveda's Curessence conditioner on me (which I absolutely love!). Bath and Body Works also has a similar-smelling conditioner but I'm at work so don't have the name readily on hand and I can't find it on their website. This was a good trade for me!

    Jabberwocky

I love the scent on this (I don't mind wearing masculine scents). It's very piney and I deliberately chose it to wear because I'd CO washed my hair with some leftover Suave garland conditioner left over from last Christmas. Alas, it immediately disappeared on me ! BPAL scents usually go strong on me for well over eight if not ten hours but this was gone while I was on my way in to work. I may wind up turning this over to my husband or else use it to freshen up a car freshener.

    Queen Mab

Going on, I got an overwhelming scent of the musk (of which I'm not a fan) but it dried down nicely to the sandalwood scent. This definitely is a mysterious scent and I still haven't made up my mind about it.

    Persephone

This started out quite strong on me. Everyone will think I'm a freak but I swear that I could smell underlying chocolate (on myself at least). I guess in a way I was expecting the pomegranate to come across on me more like Swank did. Alas, it was the rose that eventually won out on me. Overall, a very delicious scent that I really enjoy!

    Alice

This was milk and sugar on me (the rose and carnation never came through) and dried to a baby powder scent on me. It also faded quite quickly. I liked Alice but will probalby wind up trading it.

    Snake Oil

Today is the second time I've worn my Snake Oil. It's wonderful. For the review, basically go to my review of O. For some reason they both smell exactly the same on me (which is a good thing). From what other posters are saying about the oil marks, I don't have the marks but this is definitely a "thick" oil. There's no other way I can describe it. A definite keeper.

    La Belle Dame Sans Merci

I received this with my latest Imp's Ear order and am still trying to put my finger on it. It's definitely "green" as stated by other reviewers. You hit it on the head with this! Actually, your review is why I ordered this particular Imp. I'm not "regal" by any stretch of the imagination but I like to keep a definite wall up and I have a certain "attitude" that many would probably take as distain meeting me for the first time. I still want to wear it a few more times but I'm sure it'll be a keeper.

    Dana O'Shee

First of all let me say that my second order of Imp's Ears finally arrived today and this was one that I ordered--woo hoo! This will definitely be a 5ml order down the road. Wet, it reminded me of the scent of schoolmate's kitchen when I was growing up. Her mom baked sheetcakes for a living and this is what Dana O'Shee smells like to me--just like the white sheetcakes my friend's mom used to bake topped with wonderful "lard" frosting (God, I love lard frosting!) Now that it's dried, the honey scent is coming out more on me. It reminds me a tiny bit of O (but less naughty). I love D O'S!

    Maiden

This is the last oil I get to review until I receive my new set of Imp's Ears . Maiden wasn't one that I ordered; it was an extra generously sent by Beth. It's wonderful! Although it's not listed, when I initially put it on, I definitely got a heavy whiff of clove. It dried down on me to the white tea (which was great). I just wish that it lasted a bit longer is all. I'll admit that I was afraid to try it thinking that it would be "elderly" smelling but it's wonderful!

    Tempest

This one is a bit like Jolly Roger. I have a good trifecta going with Jolly Roger, Lightning, and Tempest--and I would rank them in that order, too. The only word to describe Tempest is "crisp". I haven't seen it posted upthread but I almost thought I had a tiny whiff of lilac out of the bottle (which is a good thing since I love lilac). Hmmm. I only wish Tempest had the staying power on me like Lightning. Ah, well. It's a keeper nonetheless.

    The Raven

I can basically reiterate everything Pookymum said in her post. This was an extra for me with my Imp's Ears order and definitely nothing I would've ordered myself since I'm not a fan of musk. That said, I dd like it although it is nothing that I would wear a lot. I didn't dislike it, though. I may trade this. I'll have to see.

    Jolly Roger

It's a toss-up between liking this better or Lightning. Jolly Roger is definitely a masculine scent but I absolutely adore it! Like most of the other posters, I'm saying, "Is this what Bay Rum is supposed to smell like?" Yum! I also get the underlying leather on drydown and an overall ocean-like scent. I am going to quote a passage from the book Gone With the Wind to sum this up. It's when Scarlett has gone to Atlanta with Baby Wade and is somewhat dissatisfied at Aunt Pitty's house. She sums it up this way: It was such a quite, old-fashioned, gentle home compared with Tara. To Scarlett, this house cried out for the masculine smells of brandy, tobacco and Macassar oil, for hoarse voices and occasional curses, for guns, for whiskers, for saddles and bridles and for hounds underfoot. I think a nice dose of Jolly Roger would've put Scarlett back in the proper frame of mind. There's another passage in the book, its whereabouts escaping me for the time being, that refers to Rhett and how the scent of him appeals to Scarlett because it embodies all of the most wonderful things wrapped up in her childhood--again, Jolly Roger.
