  1. Thank you all so, so much for your recommendations! I did not expect such wonderful replies. <3 I definitely am going to go hunting in the For Sale area now!
  2. This is going to sound oddly specific, and random. But I frequently get this beautiful image in my head of snow falling at night, with the moon hovering overhead. Still, but mystical somehow. I am trying to find a scent that is reminiscent of that. Something wintery, and cool. Anyone have any ideas come to mind? <3

    Santa Muerte

I opened the bottle, and thought I was going to be sick. The vetiver is STRONG in the bottle, and I am not a big fan of it to begin with. But I put it on anyways. I'm glad I did! The vetiver quickly faded and this beautiful blossoming desert rose came forward to play. Albeit I am a big rose fan. A little while later, the rose faded back a little, and something a little bit more fruity and wet-smelling came forward...maybe the cactus flowers? I'm not sure about a big bottle because of the initial smell, but definitely keeping an imp or two!

    Muse

All I can say is, wow. In the bottle, it felt like I was getting a whiff of what I imagine Heaven to smell like. On my skin, the lime gets amped up a bit, but mixes so flawlessly with the florals in a way I didn't think possible. I can't stop sniffing this one!

    Blood Kiss

I was very hesitant to even try this one, because the smell of alcohol churns my stomach, as does the vast majority of vanillas and half of musks. But being loyal to my vow to try every imp that comes my way, I gave it a shot. It's very strong. I can see how many people would absolutely love this; if you like the notes in it, you will. However it definitely wasn't my cup of tea!

    Fascinum

This smells like straight-up lemon on me for the first two hours, before mellowing down to a lemon-and-amber combo. I really like it, but it's a bit strong and sharp for me to wear on a regular basis.

    Carnal

This one is a very beautiful type of orange! I loved it in the bottle. Unfortunately, when I put it on, it became way too sweet for my tastes and didn't last long at all.

    Tzadikim Nistarim

In the Bottle: Woah, I was NOT expecting that. I thought it would smell incensey, but instead it smells like Bubble Gum! Wet on Skin: Stronger bubble gum Dry on Skin: I never could smell much more than bubble gum on me. I don't do well with sweet scents or tropicals, and I detest bubble gum flavor/smell, so sadly I don't think this one's quite for me.

    The Buggre Alle This Bible

This scent blows me away. Growing up, my whole family smoked. And while the second hand smoke always made me feel a little sick, when it mingled with my mother's leather jacket that she wore every winter, I felt comfortable. Several members of my family also worked in and owned casinos, so that dizzying scent of tobacco brings back childhood for me in a very good way. That, coupled with my absolute love for old books and their smell, makes this scent my version of heaven. I think the thing that amazed me most was I was in the midst of a panic attack, took one whiff of The Buggre Alle This Bible, and calmed down. I am beyond definitely ordering a bottle of this one! EDIT: Took it to my sister to smell, whose first reaction was, "Woah that smells familiar!" So guess it's not just my nose.

    Nothing Gold Can Stay

First off, I have to say I'm a total Frost fan. Some of his stuff may be a little cliche now, but that doesn't stop me from loving them (and things based on them). I got a book of his poetry when I was in first grade, and would memorize his poems for fun, and to this day can recite about a dozen...including this one. I've done lots of artwork based on his poems, so imagine how excited I was to see a scent based on his poetry! And I'm even more excited that it doesn't disappoint. It smells a little like pear on me, but I can still smell a leafy, golden smell that evokes the poem well. It's warm, and inviting. I just hope this gold stays on my skin for a while! If it does, I'm definitely getting a bottle.

    Encroaching Madness

This scent has me very, very confused! Like many mentioned above, it smelled downright vile in the bottle. On my skin, at first, I was wondering why I even bothered because now I stink. But once it dried, it just...blossomed. Very beautiful, light, airy, and sweet. I'm on the fence as far as getting a big bottle goes on this one. It's hard to believe it's the same scent in the bottle and on the skin!

    Burial

First sniff was very strong for me, and reminded me of pine sol. Once I put it on, though, it started to smell really complex and good. But still like pine. Which set off my sinuses really badly. Oops! I don't even know what note did that so I can avoid it. Oh, well. I really wanted to fall in love with this one.

    Undertow

The first time I opened the imp and sniffed Undertow, I recoiled. Wow, such a strong mint, and somehow salty! But I sniffed it again, and quickly came to love it. Today I put it on, and when wet it smelled even more strongly of mint. This was fine, I like mint. What wasn't fine was how it smelled the rest of the day when dry. A very sickeningly sweet...coconut?! How did that happen? This made me very, very sad. My skin chemistry seems to turn everything into candy. And then I got my scent locket in the mail today. And all was well again. I can now enjoy that minty, salty ocean smell without the coconut.

    Hades

I've been having a lot of trouble with my skin chemistry lately; it manages to turn any scent I try into a sickeningly sweet, very flat smell. Hades is the first one that hasn't, actually. It smells almost vaguelly like cinnamon, and wood. The floral is very, very faint on me, and the scent feels heavy. I'm so excited to find a scent that actually appears to work with my skin!

    Cordelia

The essence of faith, love and devotion: lilac, lemon, green tea, wisteria, osmanthus, white cedar, and Chinese musk. In the bottle, this one smelled a little sharp, in a good way. Very crisp, and clear. I could smell florals with a hint of lemon, and was very eager to try it on. Wet on my skin, I could smell the florals still with just a very slight kick of spice, but something almost powdery started to surface. Dry made me a little sad. It smells primarily like baby powder on me for some weird reason, with just the slightest hint of lemon. It was so pretty in the bottle, but my chemistry had to go and mess it up! I may keep this one for my scent locket instead.
