    Champion Bitch

This faded on me after a minute or two, but what I got was some generic floral soap. So sad!

    Colors of Spring

Ohhh, I was hoping I'd like this one. No cream to bring things down! Plum blossoms! Clean white musk! But all I got was cherry blossom-tinged generic soap, which was just boring. Scrubbed it off and put on Cluster of Cherry Blossoms instead.

    Love's Philosophy

Sweet without being sugary, and creamy/vanilla forward without being foody. The saffron has a note that smells like rubber or plastic for a few seconds, but ultimately calms down into something that grounds the entire scent and makes it gender neutral. It's not for me, but I'm glad I got to try it.

    Spring’s First Bloom

When I applied this, the lotus came in WITH A STEEL CHAIR, followed by the sugared cream. Pretty much a fluffy floral candy explosion on me. It calms down once dry, and is pretty, but not for me, although the wear length is better than Mangetsu. ::sobs:: Right now it's cherry blossom cream candy on my skin, which is...nice? But as someone who already has a bottle of Cluster of Cherry Blossoms, my gold standard for Shungas, I guess that's a warning about creamy/milky scents in general, even with exceptions (Dildo with Boxes of Lubricants and a Plum Blossom Twig had zero cream in my hair).

Dildo, Boxes with Lubricants, and a Plum Blossom Twig Hair Gloss

I...don't think I'm getting any plum blossom from this, which is fine. What I do get is currently a fruity candy, so probably a combo of grapefruit, apricot, and honey. Absolutely fine that there's no amber cream, given how that note seems finicky on me. The throw seems to fluctuate--sometimes I can smell it, sometimes I can't. This is similar to the throw level of Pomegranate Slush, I think, so I may get a bottle, depending on how the second try with this goes. I will say the lower throw probably makes it more appropriate for when you're going out in public or at the office, at least.

    Mangetsu

This scent is very green and leans a teeny bit masculine--I mostly get the green amber and white musk, which brings to mind a cool rainy spring day. Didn't get any oolong tea, grass, mandarin, or flowers, though, and I do wish it might have lasted longer (it's pretty much gone on me after about half a day), but it was nice while it lasted.

    Rose Milk Tea

2026 version: Getting zero tea or boba out of this one. The wet-on-skin phase gives me CREAM, and once it dries down you can sense the rose petals floating on top. Definitely a gourmand, but not for me, as I'd hoped for tea to cut through the richness (much like it does with White Rabbit).

Orange Blossom Honey and Silver Musk

This reminds me of the orange blossom honey hand soap they had at Trader Joe's once upon a time. Pretty much a single orange blossom honey note. It's really lovely, although I have to think on whether I would need a bottle (still have more decants to try out!)

Beaver Moon: Lime Blossom & Amber Sugar

This went from "ah, maybe this has the tartness I was looking for in the Yuzu/Honey duet" to "overpowering cologne/bathroom cleaner" on my skin. Pass.

Beaver Moon: Yuzu & Warm Honey Drizzle

Wet, it almost smells like green apples and honey, no yuzu. Dry, the honey takes over completely. I was hoping for something like the Korea yuzu tea in jars, which is a perfect balance between the two, but oh well.

Lightning Moon: Golden Amber and Plum Blossom

It's got plum blossom, but only for the first hour or two. Eventually it dries down to straight up golden amber, which is nice, but since I got the decant hoping for ALL THE PLUM BLOSSOM, I don't think a bottle's in my future.

    Mélisse Hair Gloss

This is nice. It's what I was hoping for BPTP's Lemon Blossom HG. To me, it's a golden-ish green: lemony and green, but with a sweetness that keeps it from being overly sharp or reminiscent of cleaning products. The sweetness also is just right--it's not cloying at all. I think the only issue I have is that it might fade a bit quickly, but I'll just have to keep trying my decant again to make sure before investing in a full bottle.

Cold Moon: Sandalwood & White Plum 2024 Hair Gloss

Oof. Very heavy on the sandalwood. I usually don't mind it, but there's a dirty resiny quality to this one that's making me recoil, and I haven't even sprayed it on yet.

Hair Loosened and Soiled in Mid Orgies Hair Gloss

This is much more demure and mindful than the name suggests. I don't get the similarities to O in my sample (which is what I was hoping for)--it's definitely lighter, and maybe soapier, although it doesn't exactly smell like soap. I'm glad I got to try it, though.

    Embalming Fluid Hair Gloss

This is very clean! But perfectly so--it's not outright soapy, nor is it too musky/cloying. It's just a pretty light scent that charmed me more than I thought. Not sure if I'll get a full bottle, but I'll use the imp again.
